54 I... I Was K-Kidnapped

All six men waited patiently to hear what Sylvia had to say. After receiving an assuring squeeze from Lina, Sylvia began.

"I... I am not Favian's friend's daughter."

That much I have figured out, Martin wanted to say but held his tongue back and listened carefully.

"I... I was k-kidnapped."

Corbin gulped because he too was not aware of Sylvia's past yet.

"When you were on your way to Greenfield?"

Hunt narrowed his eyes at Corbin.

"You knew her from the begining?" White was more vocal about his thoughts.

Corbin slowly nodded his head. "We shared a ride while I was coming to Broughton. We didn't speak much but I remembered her face and name."

"It explains why you are so protective over her." Smith mused.

Corbin avoided meeting Sylvia's gaze as his earlobes again turned pink. His friends could have been subtle about it!

"Yes. A woman fooled me and then sold me for money." Sylvia told. "And that's where Favian bought me for a great price."
