40 Another One Missing

As soon as Sylvia reached back to the villa, she darted straight into her bathroom. Locking the door behind her, she spent about an hour there. When she stepped out, her eyes were red and puffy after crying for a long, but her face was void of any emotions.

She wore a satin gown that Favian loved on her and sat on the bed waiting for the monster to arrive. A few minutes later, she heard Favian's voice coming from outside.

She waited for some more time, but Favian didn't open the door. Sylvia didn't know if she should feel relieved that she was saved from that monster for some time or get nervous thinking about what kind of atrocity he would choose tonight.

After some contemplation, she finally got up from the bed. Covering herself with a full-length robe, she opened the door to see there was no one outside to guard her room.

Favian always made sure to position someone there to keep an eye on Sylvia.
