More Quests!

Hearing his sister ask about a weekly quest, he remembered he should soon be getting another weekly quest. Thinking of everything he was tasked to kill for the system, Victor was wondering how many things he would have to kill to complete this time around. He had yet to receive a quest that doesn't involve killing, so he expected it to be killing again.

Looking at his sister he spoke casually, "I haven't got the quest but I'll tell you in the morning if I get it."

"Alright." Addy didn't argue and went back to eating.

After having a good dinner Victor went back to reading his cultivation system. After six hours he finally learned enough to start cultivating. Yet at this time, something strange happened after an hour of attempting to start the cultivation system.

Victor was shocked by the system giving him another quest, but this time he knew he had to complete it no matter what! So with a sigh, he started to plan a new trip to the forest in the hope of being able to kill one hundred living beings.

After finishing to prepare for his trip Victor went to sleep early since he would have a busy day tomorrow.

In the morning Victor woke up and heard an obnoxiously loud noise.

Looking at the words weekly quest made Victor groan. He already had to kill over 100,100 living beings and ten more felt like it would be hell. Sighing he looked at the rewards hoping it would raise his spirits. After looking at it he saw that it was far more than what he had earned last week.

"What the hell?! Why did you change so much?!" To his yelling, Victor received no response and with no choice, he took a second look and realized what was wrong with this seemingly normal quest.

"WHAT THE HELL?! HUMANS?! WHY?!" Still, to Victor's yelling, no response was given from the system.

Instead, a tired voice answered him via his little sister who had been awoken by such loud yelling, "Why are you yelling so early in the morning?"

Hearing his little sister Victor realized that although he didn't overreact, he should have at least done his reaction more quietly, "I'm sorry for waking you, I just-.. I just... *sigh* the weekly quest you wanted to know about has just arrived and it isn't great. The quest tells me to kill humans."

Hearing her brother's words shocked her out of her drowsy state. With her mouth wide open she asked her brother, "Are you going to do it?"

Hearing his sister asking him if he was considering this quest left Victor shocked, "I can't even if I wanted to. If I were to even kill one person without a good reason unless I am a higher-level cultivator, then it would ruin both me and you. I don't want to do something that can hurt you." As Victor was thinking about this he suddenly remembered something, "The New Player Quest"

Addy who was about to take a sigh of relief paused when she heard her brother say something, "What did you say?"

Victor who heard his sister's sweet voice could only say, "I'm sorry Addy. I got a quest to give you a system, but I never thought that it would give quests like this. I need to find out a way to cancel it, NOW!"

Hearing the desperation in her brother's voice, she got nervous, "You don't have to complete a quest if you don't want to do you?"

"No, if I deal with the punishment after the time for the quest ends."

"What is the Punishment?"

"I'm not sure. I haven't gotten punished yet."

After both of them calmed down a little, Addy stayed silent for a bit longer before she looked straight into her brother's eyes and spoke with resolution, "I will deal with the punishments and benefits if you get me this system for me."

Hearing the resolution in his sister's tone Victor's calm faltered, "*ahem* how about first I find out how bad the punishment is FIRST. Only after that, you can get the system, but ONLY if I deem it to be detrimental shall I allow you to get a system. Understood?"

"No. Even if it is bad, then you must still give this to me so I can suffer with you. We have always been together and THAT WON'T CHANGE! Even if you are a cultivator now!"

Seeing Addy so resolute Victor was left with no choice but to sigh and accept whatever his sister had in mind. Of course, he had his own plan in mind.

After sending Addy off to bed, Victor suddenly thought of something. If he missed the killing human part of the quest in the weekly quest, then what else could he have missed in the other two quests? After a quick check, he realized that there truly was something that he had missed before when he was distracted.

"Kill and collect blood." Mumbling to himself, Victor realized that there was more to the system than he first thought.

After thinking about it he knew that there was nothing he could change in the first place, so with no choice, he wrote a note to Addy and left the house to head to the forest where he could complete his cultivation mission.
