Long Forgotten Feeling.

Diver Blank immediately checked her attire to check if the emblem was still there after the procedure was done.

After seeing that everything was fine and nothing was out of place, she darted her head towards Dean who wore a confused look on his face.

" I'll explain in a second don't worry," Her voice was cold and emotionless.

If Dean hadn't heard her quite a few times, he would have been creeped out by her tone and way of speaking.

Nonetheless, Dean just nodded his head and waited for her.

After instructing Dean, Blank checked out her group and nodded with satisfaction.

" Kerin, lead everyone to the same place and wait for me there, I'll stay behind to explain to Dean how things work." 

Blank didn't even bother to wait for his reply and already shifted her attention towards the silent Alex a little far from the group," As promised, your pay is ready for you to receive. Speak of any of these events and my superiors will be the ones personally dealing with you."

Alex smirked when he heard her words and couldn't help but say with a burst of light laughter," I don't think I'm the one I should be worried about at this moment." He looked at Dean for a split of a second before he made his way to the gate, all the way laughing in a low volume.

" I won't be able to see the show, but I'm sure we gonna meet again young man." He added before he stepped into the white light with a soft jump and disappeared from everyone's sight.

Inside the blinding whiteness of the gate, Alex was casually walking through it heading to the other side, all the way thinking about a particular event that couldn't help but make him keep on laughing.

' I wonder how the star guild will react upon receiving the sudden news that will soon hit them, hehe.'

After a few minutes of having enough amusement with himself thinking about the near future, Alex's face turned solemn and serious as he grabbed his chest,' Too dangerous for a newbie.'

With a low mutter that none could hear except Alex, a dark sphere slowly was pushed out of his heart.

" Cleansing card, I would have surely suffered a fate worse than death if I didn't obtain you that other day."

With each inch the dark sphere was coming out of Alex's heart, beads of sweat generated from his forehead and face dropped to the ground.

"Aghhh!"

'This is way too painful.'

In mere seconds, Alex's face turned red as his breathing quickened.

Bam!

With a loud thud, his dropped to the ground, the dark sphere with unknown length still getting pushed out of his heart inch by inch, steadily but slowly.

"I'm gonna die!"

"I'm gonna die!"

"This is too much for me to bear!"

" Hahahahaa!"

" More pain!"

" More!"

He suddenly started laughing like a maniac as he enjoyed the pain.

His face full of sweat and snort mixed together was filled with joy.

His eyes locked into the dark sphere that was almost fully taken out of his heart were bloody red burning filled with a crazed look.

" Oh Dean, this was but our first meeting and you already giving me this much joy and fun."

" I'll make sure to play more with you in the future, this is the experience I was looking for all these years."

" Oh, it's finally out?"

He looked down at the dark sphere resting on his right hand's palm and muttered with a wide smile," Such a strong curse, what rank was his card for him to be able to inflect such a life-threatening curse on me without the others even realizing it."

Alex hadn't experienced such a high-ranking card's power for a long while.

And for the first time since that never-forgotten time, Alex felt amazingly good.

He felt that a new era of happiness was about to wash over all of his body and soul for the next years.

" No wonder Blank failed to sense it, she is far too weak and could even be said it was a waste for Dean to use such a curse on us."

" Well, it's not of my business," Alex smirked as he thought about the storm that would soon engulf the chaos world," Who would have thought I'd be meeting such a toy on this boring mission."

After dealing with the curse and briefly thinking about his lovely toy, Alex crashed the dark sphere resting in his palm and continued down the blinding path of the gate.

His legs were steady, his back strengthened and his skin rather fair and clean.

Anyone who would see him at this moment, would never even have the wild thought that Alex was just facing a huge dismay that almost doomed him a few seconds ago.

All the damage that was inflicted on his outer appearance was gone in mere moments after he stood up.

It was as if all the pain and agony he went through at that time was but mere acting and just an illusion to anyone who passed next to him.

Nonetheless, Alex had no reaction on his face and kept on heading towards the exit, all the way smiling in satisfaction and expectation.

Right at the entrance of the gate, Kerin and Lexi stood silently for a short while before the petite girl finally broke the silence, her voice shaky and unwilling.

" Are we letting her have her way? Are we not stepping in to save him?"

Kerin looked at her eyes burning with fighting spirit but after some time had passed, he just sighed and continued walking, his broad muscular back facing Blank and Dean.

" We have no way of dealing with her, and even if we were stronger and could do so, you know what will happen afterward. Forget it, our paths were never meant to be crossed anyway."

" Coward!"

Lexi spit in front of him and ran towards the gate with heavy steps, her voice trailing off as she stepped inside, her figure vanishing from everyone's sight.

Kerin didn't pay her rude behavior any heed and only looked back for a split of a second in Dean's direction before he also stepped inside the gate.

He lightly shook his head and kept on going,' This is the fate of the weak. The law of the jungle is absolute, and the strong shall prey on the weak. Blame your weak self, luck, and fate for dying in such a way Dean.'

" Goodbye little friend, even though our time together wasn't long enough to be called such, I still had a nice time conversing with you."

Even though his voice was loud throughout his talking, no one was able to hear it thanks to the gate he was currently in.

In just a minute... All that was left behind was Blank facing Dean in the empty space in front of the gate.
