Partytime

So I awkwardly stood there and just held his hand, until I realized I have to let go. I pull back my hand and he takes the beer bottle to his lips and takes a sip, then parted his lips to say something when we both were cut off by Tiana entering the room.

"Hey Kim, how's everything going in here? And whos this hot guy, eh?" she said and nudged him, and he chuckled at her action and shrugs.

-"We've just met, and introduced us and all"

I said moving my pointing finger back and forth between us. Tiana looked at me and then looked at him, and then leaned in to whisper to me.

"Let me guess, that's you letting me know to back off him, has yours and all?" she whispered and giggled at my flustered reaction. I shook my head quickly and held up my hands to shake them too side to side.

-"No, no not like that" I pleaded but she saw how I reacted, I was already busted. She has known me for so long, she knows me inside out by now.

-"Anyway, I'm Tia, and you are?" she said to Killian and he held up his beer slightly towards himself.

-"Killian, have you seen Thomas around by chance?" He said and lifted his gaze from us to scout the room. Tia pointed to the hallway behind us. "Over there, wait a minute, are you the brother by chance?" she said and pointed at him with a surprised expression. He nodded and excused himself walking past us, closest path was to go between us. His chest was inches away from me and I lifted my gaze and saw his jawline tense up, like he was clenching his teeth slightly. I couldn't back away without walking into someone else and frankly I didn't want to move away. I don't know what it was but something drew me to him.

Then it was like time just speed up to normal from being slow motion, and he disappeared out of sight.

The party itself was fun, I got a few new potential friends and Tia kept the mood up and good all night. Nothing bad happened, just one accidental grope from a guy but other than that it was a fun and memorable night.

Me and Tia dropped of at my place after in an uber and we split the tab again, both a little drunk from her having a little to fun making us drinks all night. We were greeted by Missy but shes pretty shy so she ran down the hall to hide in one of her million places.

Tia passed out on my couch in the living room so I grab one of my blankets and drags it over her. I then watch her fold out and snoring up a storm, and I chuckled. I walked over to my room and enters, and sees my laptop, and realized that i had the deadline, that i really coudlnt miss. I quickly sit down and opens the website up and looks at the timer, it said 3 minutes left. I sighed out of relief and thinks a little, to come up with something bad but not to bad, and something that would be close to impossible for them to actually fix for me.

"I feel like something is missing, like a part of me. Without meeting me. If you can fix that you can strike the rest of them."

I wrote because I knew that was impossible for them to do. I mean they had to meet me to even try doing this and-

"Done." it said on the screen, it was quick this time. the timer had stopped, it didn't move anymore.

"Are they going to write to me again and be like 'such an task is impossible write another or.."

but a message never came. It only said done.

I went to bed after waiting for a reply, thinking this time, they wont be able to.

I wake up the next day, feeling the hang over headache hitting my head like the drums at a concert. I got out of the old clothes from the party, washed my face and let my hair down to change into something more fitting for the last day of school.

I walk down the hall and meet up with Tia, who was making us coffee and something simple to eat, deviled eggs. I poked my food and sighs, she looks at me and pokes me in my side, making me flinch slightly.

"Hey now, it cant be that bad. Or is it that the mystery brother isn't here, you really seemed to like him" she said and giggled and watched my expression for an reaction. I felt my cheeks going a bit warm and waves her away. "Hey stop it, its not like that at all, I mean I don't even know him.." I trailed of and she leaned over the table and poked me right in the forehead.

"Even if you don't know him you can still be attracted to him, silly. Do I need to teach you everything about boys Kim?" I lowered my head further and groaned. Clearly I was showing I was feeling embarrassed.

Anyway, its the last day of school then we are out of there, isn't that just great!" Tia exclaimed and looked like the happiest bean on the planet. I giggled and nodded. -"Finally." I said calmly and finished my coffee. "Well be better go so we wont be late then, wont we?" Tia said and giggled.

I finished the eggs and put the plate in the sink and checking so Missy had what she needed before I left. I picked her up and gave her a soft kiss on the head before putting her back down and going after Tia.

We show up and the school day was only simple meetings and stuff the teachers had planned to end the term, Tia then drags me around town and we run into Killian and Thomas, literally. My coffee i just bought was all over me and i pulled the cloth away from my skin to not get too burned.

"Are you alight?" Killian asked looking concerned. "Sorry for barging into you guys, we didn't see you around the corner" Thomas said and Killian nodded to what he said.

"I'll be okay, its just pretty warm" I manage to say and Tia already ran to get a lot of tissues.

"Hey, could we talk in private, when you have time Kimberly?" Killian asked right before Tia came running.

"Y-Yeah sure" I said as she was now tapping my shirt to try dry it out.
