"Eric what did you say to him?" I whisper not wanting the rest of my family to overhear.

"Nothing, I j-"

"Eric, your godmother Celine says she's truly sorry about missing your birthday. She's stuck in Vegas right now so she hardly has anytime to see anyone." Uncle Kenny speaks.

"Celine Dion is not my godmother, Dad." Eric hisses as always when this subject is brought up.

"Oh Eric when are you going to just accept this? It's been 26 years already." Uncle Ken moans dramatically.

"I still cannot believe you agreed to this Hen. Your sister and Juney should've been Eric's godparents." Grandpa says, making Aunt Hen sigh in annoyance.

"Why do I keep having to explain myself? If I had to decide between Celine and Prince and Juney and Lilah again the people with Grammy awards would win every time."

Eric grumbles at his mom's words.
