Day 4 Part 1

Day 4

Once I saw the first rays of the sun the door turn back to normal seeing this I go up to it and locked the door.

Stretching my body I was going to go upstairs and take a nap as I don't need that much sleep.

As I was going upstairs I heard a voice coming from behind me.

"Meow~ Where am I?"

"Oh yeah, that cat still here."

"Who's a cat!? I'm a Majestic being known all over the world as the one and only Majestic."

"Yea yea, I heard it all last night."

"If so why are you still calling me a cat!"

"Because Majestic is a stupid name."

"Ha shows what you know my name is a Majestic one. There isn't a better name than mine."

"Narcissistic cat."

"Hey, I heard that!"

"Whatever, just leave you can take the blanket if you want."

"No, I'm staying!"

"No, you're leaving because you don't live here and I don't need a cat as a roommate."

"I'm not a cat!! Also, I chose this place as my new territory and you can't kick out a queen from her territory."

"... You know what I give up stay just don't make a mess."

"Humph don't tell me what to do."

Glaring at the cat for a couple more minutes I left upstairs to take my nap.

I napped for an hour and once I got up again I went downstairs to buy and put in the Haunted ATM.

Once I reached the store area I saw a big mess of blanket at the corner of the store and a black cat laying on them.

"Aren't all those blankets curse why is the cat able to sleep on them with no problem."

"I'm not a cat!! Also, the curses on the blankets are way too weak to affect me."

"You're not asleep?"

"I was until some idiot started to bad mouth me."

"Haha."

Leaving the cat alone I open the Store option in the interface and bought the Haunted ATM with the check that I got last night and place it at one of the walls.

Once I set up the ATM I went to the Lottery option and used the Store Remodeling Ticket.

(Using "Store Remodeling Draw" ... Host has drawn [Display Tables x6].)

Seeing what I draw I took out the tables and placed them around the store.

While I was moving around the tables I heard a noise from behind me turning around I saw a girl opening the front door. It was Martha the delivery girl wearing a blue sundress with violet flower patterns on the bottom end of the dress.

"Why is it unlocked again. I might need to call a locksmith or something."

"Oh, are you not open if so I can come back later."

"No, it's fine. What brings you here I'm pretty sure I didn't order a pizza."

"Well, I was near here and I remember a nice cafe nearby and I didn't want to go alone so I thought of inviting you."

"Oh, I thank you for your invitation but I have a skin condition that doesn't allow me to go out in direct sunlight."

"Is that so how about I help you for interrupting you."

"Sure."

After I said that she helped me out. It also seems the curse isn't affecting her much as she isn't obsessed about me and it just appears she has a little crush on me.

I can probably find a way to stop the curse sooner or later I just need time and I can't take advantage of her in this state.

After the tables were moved into place I went upstairs to get bottles of water and came back to hand her one.

"Thanks for the help."

"You're welcome. Oh, I have been meaning to ask what's up with that cute cat in the corner."

"Meow!! Meooow!! (I'm not a cat!)"

"Aww, what a cute meow."

Meows? What she can't hear it talk. Maybe it's a supernatural thing to understand animals.

"Oh her she not mine she came in last night and refuses to leave. I'm too lazy to kick her out."

"Meow meow meow. (Like you can you peasant.) Meow meow meow. (This is my territory now.)"

"Arrogant as always."

"Huh what was that?"

"Nothing."

"It's okay oh look at the time I should be going now thanks for the water."

After saying her thanks she quickly left the store.

Once she was outside the interface popped up infont of me with a notice.

(New feature has been activated [Broadcast]

Broadcast allows the Host to see broadcasting of curse items that activated.)

See this I opened the new feature in my Store Menu.

Seeing this I chose Jake's name and a new screen popped up showing a handsome man with long red hair in a ponytail, green eyes and around 5'10 sitting in a study room holding Three Roads ready to read it.

I quickly blink my eyes until I had them focus on the screen just right on time to see Jake opened the door and fall unconscious in his chair.

Thinking that was it I was about to close the interface until I saw the scene change to an old wooden house and a little boy standing in front of it with old grandma next to him seeing this I stopped myself and look in interest.

I was sitting in my favorite chair in my study and opened the book I bought last night and started to read it only for my vision turned black.

My vision was dark until my vision came back and in front of me was an old white-haired lady wearing an old-style dress from 1770. While looking at her the old lady started to speak.

"Now Hunny I need you to go into town and find good work as your grandma can't always take care of you. Now go off and don't get lost."

After she told me what to do she left into her house and locked the door.

Was I just disowned by an old grandma?

Not knowing what to do I walked down the dirt road before me.

I still don't understand what's going on how did I end up like this.

All I was doing was reading a book. Wait the book!

The rumors said that says that the souls of the readers are trapped in the book once they die. It could be that but I'm not dead unless I die while I'm in here or can't return back to the real world.

Goddamit of all things in the world that could happen to me I went and bought a cursed book. I probably need to finish this book to leave.

Walking down the dirt road I came across a three-way split leading to three different paths.

The one to my left there's nothing but a flat plane, the center road leads to forests, while the one on my right has many hills.

Seeing my options I walked on the road to my left as it seems to be the safest road to walk on.

Now I'm walking on this new road but something odd is happening I'm now leaving footprints behind me and they are not mine. The footprints look like they come from a horse walking on it two back lags and when I stopped to look around I don't see anything that could make the footprints.

While I was standing I hear a quiet but discernable noise right behind me and not knowing what to do I started to run as fast as I can while looking behind my back from time to time.

I kept running until I saw the footprints disappear thankfully it seems whatever was following can't run but now isn't a good time to rest after all it seems like the sun is setting. Looking around once more I saw a small village up ahead.

It didn't take me long to reach the village and when I got there I was stopped by some guards.

"Halt what's your name and purpose for coming here!"

"I'm Jake Amber Burstein and I'm here to rest for the night."

"Do you have any weapons on you?"

"No."

"Okay, you can enter but do be warned to not walk on the streets at night."

"Why?"

"It's because they come at night. If I were you go find a place to stay for the night."

"Okay, do you know of any place I can stay for free."

"Free? You came here without any money. Huh, well if I had to say you can go to the village chief he lives in the middle of the village, if not him the church has rooms but you need to help them clean the place before you leave, or you can go into one of the abandoned houses."

"Okay, thanks."
