Chapter 34

Izna's POV

I'm swimming in darkness right now. Monsters are chasing me through the darkness. The most worst monster looks like Nephthys. I run. I run faster to get away from him. If he catches me he will tear me apart. Through the darkness I feel someone's hand reaching me. I hold that hand. It's Seth!! He has a baby in his arm and he's holding me with another arm. It's this my baby? I reach to touch his face...

"Majesty...your majesty.....can you hear me...."

"Horus?"

"Praise the gods! You finally wake up."

"Where's Seth?"

"You...your majesty?"

"Where is he!!!??"

She tries to get off the bed.

"NO!! Don't get up. You're still not healed."

"I'm fine. Nothing happened to me."

"Your majesty y...you had a miscarriage."

I look at his face. He's not lying. I really lost my child. I lost everything. I'm completely ruined.

"H....o...w??"

"I'm so sorry. You fainted and fell flat on the stone floor. I couldn't catch you on time. The baby was crushed."

"Horus..."

"Yes your majesty."

"Please kill me. I have no reason to live anymore."

Horus's POV

Judging from her behavior, I can tell she lost her spirit of living. She lost her child, her beloved but didn't even cry once. She keeps staring at the walls for days. She doesn't want to eat or sleep. I have to force her to eat, hug her to bed. She has nightmare every time she sleeps. Her body keep getting colder each day. If this continues she will die soon.

The Pharaoh is still here outside her door. He's been waiting all these days sitting there for her to call him in. He even sleeps outside. Every time someone comes in or goes out he asks about her. Looks like he finally realized his mistake. But it's already too late. She doesn't have much time to live.

"Horus, did she ask for me today?"

"Great Pharaoh please give up. It's embarrassing for you to sit here."

"I don't care about all that. Just tell me if she ever wants to see me. I'm waiting right here."

"I beg of you. My master will die soon. Please just don't show her your face. You already hurt her enough. Do one last favor and let die in peace."

"Don't say something like that. I will bring best medicines, best physicians."

"I'm afraid that won't be helpful. She lost her spirit to live. You can heal her body but not her heart."

"Just you wait. I will make her want to live again."

"Whatever you do just don't approach her. She's not ready to take another shock."

"Horus please do me a favor. I want to see her once. When she's sleeping I will sneak in and see her face just once. I won't wake her up. She will never know. Just once."

"This might be the last time you see your wife alive."

"Don't say something like that. She will live."

"I don't think so. We can only pray now."

"She will live. She will definitely live."

*sigh*

I hate him too much to trust his words. But besides me he's the only one that cares for her life right now.He's really determined this time. If he can really save her I will be grateful for the rest of my life.
