WINTER TREASURE
1889 at Sweden ;
Well, I remember when I was 15 years old. It was the winter season at the end of December, after Christmas. People in our village were ready to welcome the new year. A group of people with hug bags and boxes arrived in our village late one evening. They are an archaeologist team led by a man around 67 years old, an Englishman with sharp mustard and a big belly. His name was Sir Matthew John. Meanwhile, I am playing near my home with my elder brother Ansgar in the snow, and my mom sells dairy products in front of our home. That old man came near our home and asked my mom for the way to the Belton fort. My mom suddenly took me and my brother into the house and locked the door. She was looking out the window at them.
I left my house after a few minutes. I saw that the team was placed outside our village. Suddenly, my mom came and advised me to get in, and she told me, "Don't come out of the house after sunset."
The next morning, with the assistance of an elderly villager, the archaeologist team arrived at Belton Fort, which is located on the seashore. The fort appears to be both a terrifying and fantastic place. Mr. Stubs was a tall, dark-skinned team member with high skills and experience as an archeologist, but he also had a strong belief in superstitious stories and was a very feared personality. The archaeologist team approaches the palace slowly and pushes open the massive door of Belton fort.
The fort was very dusty and full of ashes; they placed their bags and boxes on the floor and started cleaning it. Sir Matthew John and team decided to stay inside the fort.
The archaeologist team discovered various ancient things related to Belton fort after four days of research inside the fort. They collected all the ancient stuff and placed it in a storage room created separately inside the fort.
One day, while the team was exploring the fort, one of the archeologists, Jenifa, the team's youngest archaeologist at 19 years old, was highly active and a beautiful woman with sharp and beautiful eyes. She found a secret chamber under the chimney. Jenifa entered the chamber and saw several boxes of gold, cheese, wine, etc. Jenifa came out and told it to Sir Matthew John. The team took out all the boxes from the chamber. This News about the discovery of treasure is slowly spreading to the villages and people around the Belton fort.
next day Mr. Stubs while investigating on the fort's eastern side, he saw a lighthouse far away from the palace on the seashore through window. the lighthouse looking very mysterious, and Mr. Stubs closes the window and exits the room.
Mr. Stubs awoke the next morning and went to breakfast with the team. Sir. Mathew John greeted Him "Good morning" and asked to have breakfast. While they breakfast, Sir. Matthew John asked Mr. Stubs, "Have you seen the light house near the fort?" Mr. Stubs replied, "No!" with trepidation. "Daily night after finishing my work, I sit near the window and watch the light house far away from us; I felt that light house must be related to the Belton fort," sir Matthew John explained. Mr. Stubs did not react much.
Soon after the breakfast, Mr. Matthew John announced that we were going to separate our team into two halves. One half of the team will be led by Jenifa to investigate inside the fort, and the other half of the team will be led by Sir. Mathew John is in the lighthouse near the fort, Sir Matthew was asked Mr. Stubs to join Matthew John's team to investigate Light House. Mr. Stubs was stunned and terrified. With little fear in his mind, he replied to Sir. Matthew John: "Sir, Jenifa was the youngest archaeologist and highly active; if you take Jenifa with you to the light house, she can learn more, and I will take a lead of team to investigate inside the fort." Sir. Matthew John accepted Mr. Stub's word, and he was well aware of Mr. Stub's fear and character.
Sir Matthew John walks towards the lighthouse with Jenifa and half of the team. The seashore was peaceful, and a gentle breeze blew as the team walked slowly to the lighthouse. They opened the doors of the small entry of the light house, but it was not like the usual light house; the steps were downward, going towards the basement. Jenifa was very eager to know what was in the basement. The team lit the fire lamp they carried with them and entered the light house. There are some drawings, some writings, and some skeletons inside the walls of the light house. Sir Mathew Johan doubted "whether it was a light house?" in his mind. The team slowly got down into the basement, the basement smells unpleasant. They saw a skeleton with hand cuffs and locks in its legs and mouth. The basement was full of drawings on the wall, some books on the floor, and other stuff.
The archaeologist team placed their bags on the floor and collected all the things inside the light house, including bone samples. Sir Matthew John took some papers and ink, and he applied ink to the wall to make copies of the drawings on it. After collecting everything, the team returned back to the fort in the late evening.
That evening, after dinner, Sir. Matthew John retire to his room and begins writing in his journal about his experience and the work he completed that day. After completing his journal, he felt sleepless. So he went near the window and saw the light house; he suddenly remembered the drawings copies taken from the light house's walls. He took all the drawing copies from his bag and placed them on his table. Sir. Matthew began doing research on the drawing. A few seconds later, he gets the impression that someone is watching him, sir. Mathew feels unusual; the wind blows snow inside his room through the window. So Sir. Matthew placed all his drawings inside his journal and went to close the window. While closing the window, he feels some people going out from the fort. Sir. Matthew took his lamp to see what was happening outside. The wind blows out the lamp, but he notices a group of people taking some boxes from the palace and heading towards the boat at the sea. When he saw them, he was shocked and started running out to chase them.
He went to open his room door, but he couldn't; the door was locked. Unusually, the room is very cold, foggy, and dark. sir. Matthew hears some spiritual words and an annoying sound in his room, but he can't recognise where it comes from in the dark, so he tries to light his lamp in panic. Sir. Matthew felt that someone with grey eyes, more than six feet tall, was slowly coming closer to him. He scrunched his eyes slowly; he saw a demon in front of him!
At midnight, a ship was sailing on the sea, and a 20-year-old boy named Ansgar, who was the elder son of the woman who sells daily products in the village, was standing on the front deck. Jenifer came from the caption cabin with two cups of wine. She gave one cup of wine to Ansgar, and they hugged each other. Ansgar and Jenifer took all the treasure in the Belton fort with them in the ship. They kissed under the moonlight.
