It was noon when i reach home, it will be a surprise for my mom. I come in through the back entrance, fooling 3 guards in my way. Enter the kitchen while sitting in the kitchen table, my mom is busy looking at the stove. "What's for lunch?" I asked. "Its a.." when my mother stunned on her feet. "Cass! When did you got in?" She comes and hugs me. The maid also surprised she never heard me come in. That night the guard received a fair scolding from Barnaby, a high school-er manage to slipped in accompanied with a 5 foots giant wolf. Manage to get passed 3 armed guards, but then Mr.Barnes just glad that i came home. I bet he is gonna changes the guards placements once more, seeing to many holes i pointed out, which i got from the tactical subjects in Valorem.

That night i went to my mothers room, only to find a little girl that giggling reading a storybook on the bed with my mother. "Cass do you remember you dad's cousins Garreth Reed and your aunt Lucinda? This is her daughter Jenny" after that she lets Jenny out the rooms. "Her father just died, and her mother choose to start a new life" my mother explained that she is going to be given to the country to be an orphan. As i already grown up, the city hall will permitted to an adoption, on the terms that i was released to be a full adults status without any parents supervision or guardianship. So my mom is planning to keep her as a daughter, Jenny comes back and handing oranges to me and my mom. "Here is for you Cass, Mommy Cortina said you are now my big brother!" She was smiling at me. I hug her, she is such as nice little girl. "Not only that" i called Fang in, "This is Fang he is also your big brother, just tell him if someone bothers you, he will bite their ass!" Jenny hugs Fangs, i picked her up and sits her on top of Fang. When Fang get up, she laughs. I tell her that there is one other girl in this house named Lilia, she is also her sister. So she have a big brother and sister in this house. And a big wolf as a pet, she sleeps with Fang on the floor that night, i moved her to the bed, after talking with my mom. I tell my mom all about my new schools and friends, and also the little snow leopard that i left at the Valorem for nursery. That night before sleeping, Dean called me to meet him at the cafe near the city hall, down town tomorrow afternoon.

That morning, i went to the park with Jenny and Fang, everybody just in awe to see the size of Fangs, by the way after the assessment last week Fang was a level A threat nanoweap. Who knows with a bit of training and developing the slave cores he could be a level S class. Or even a level SS class, riding Fang walking down town really gives a full smile on Jenny's face. The poor girl never got a high grade zero nites like i was, her family is a low working class. But she is still a Reed by blood. I meet Dean, a surprise my whole team was there, i ordered Jenny a banana split. We cant wear the monocle outside the house and Valorem, that was the rules. I keep my monocle at house, but i did bring that gloves that Mr.Barnes gave me, seeing that know its a weapon of deadly means in my hand. When my team mates sees the glove, they asked how in the world a contraband like that could even be found in the black market. Dean, Grey and Shawn comes from a wealthy family, unlike Jean who came from a military family, their net is a little weak. They asked me to help them to get a permit to enter the headwind mountains north east not far from Rogan city. The mountains area is a low level hunting ground, the wild life in not as crowded as the jungle or forest. A few hares, foxes, snakes and bob cats at most. But the permissions of this area is at the merchant guild jurisdiction. They are trying to makes some easy money on the sides of experience, we will be going as a team.

I talked to Mr.Barnes that night, to my surprise after a phone call in the morning we have permissions from the merchant guild, the adventurer guild and the city hall. After that i filed a form to Valorem, because the permit form the adventurer guild also have a missions request from the merchant guild. The green light has been given for a trip to the mountains for three days with full gear on. As i relay the message to my team mates, i cant guess all of them jumping on their bed happily.

Breaking dawn i went to the north city entrance, my team mates come one by one. After that we went hiking to the mountains, the mountain pass office was 2 miles from the city gates at the foot of the mountains. We show our papers and permit, the merchants guild missions was 10 vials of mid grade zero nites. Hunting foxes and wolves should cleared the quest. A quota of 6 vials of high grade or 10 vials of mid grade or 20 vials of low grade is permitted, with permitted slave in 40% preservation laws applied.

On the first day we hunted down foxes and wolves, beyond out expectation it was a staggering of 25 vials of mid grade zero nites, we did catch some hares to make dinner with. We takes turn on night watch, and in the morning we set off higher to the mountains tops. On the peaks we found a nest of Pythons snake that just laid a couple of eggs, we stunned the snakes to immobilized it, than counting the staggering 38 eggs, we took 15 of them on our stash. Later that night we culls a mountain lion that came into the camp and attacked us. 2 vials of high grade out of that mountain lion. On the last day beyond the cliff Grey spotted a Golden Eagle nest. After scouting for hours we manage to get our hands on one of the eggs, it was four eggs in total on that nest, if there is five we should be fine taking two of them. The last day of the hunt we spent leisurely hunting adding some mid and low vials to the bunch.

On the afternoon, in the mountain pass office we registered our loots.

And some mid rare herbs.

After filling the forms the loot divided by the mountain office.

Excluding 10 vials of the merchant guild mission the city will get 20% of the loots.

The city gets 1 vials of high grade, 10 vials of low grade, 3 eggs of the pythons after much bargaining 5 vials of mid grade was given for the eagle eggs.

So we have 1 high grade, 10 mid grades, 12 python eggs and 1 eagle eggs.

We got home that day in full of joy, before we head home we dropped the missions items at the adventurer guild, and openings our own personal accounts for our missions in the future, we all get a membership from the adventurer guilds and able to take missions without the Valorem recommendation in the future. Then i sold the mid vials, the money is quite a sum. I come by the city bestiary to registered the eagle eggs under my family name and prepare it to be slaved, i should come back in 2 days, lucky me; The eggs is already in the expecting to hatch period. I rested for the next day, i wanted to give to Mr.Barnes the money i get for the vial, but he rejected it, then i save it in my account. I could buy a small house with the sum, but i better saved it for something i need. And now the Barnes family have a direct legally ways to obtain zero nites from the wilds through me. They are now can stop using poachers to collect zero nites, the culler is not an easy to purchased device, every culler vials was encoded and only can be extracted by the issuer, using a registered compiler name in the family, such as me the Barnes family can now get the culler from the city hall, because as a adventurer guild compiler i was registered as the city compiler. Poacher has to get the animal alive before culling for the zero nites, without the culler device the culled zero nites has only 2 hours to be transplanted.

The next day, i got an urgent message from the bestiary. I took Jenny to the city hall, i bonded her with the eagle. It was my gift for her, she is crying when the nurse draw her blood. Waiting for one hour, the nurse notified that the bonding was a success and in two months they will notified the Barnes mansion to get the eagle. I take Jenny home, tomorrow i will go back to the Valorem. That night i sleep dreaming of me, Lilia and Jenny. Picnicking on the hills of the Valorem mountain back, looking at the Rogan city from a far. Fang, Smoke and the Eagle is circling us. My mom handing the foods to Jenny and Barnaby talking with Lilia about her marriage, Lilia keeps refusing the idea an running away. I laugh seeing the overgrown Mr.Barnes playing cat and mouse with his agile daughter.

That morning saying goodbye to the household, Mr.Barnes, Mom and Jenny was the hardest thing to do. Jenny keeps stopping me packing my things, but i calmed her down saying in 2 months the eagle will be brought home for her. I asked her what name will be given to the eagle. "Goldy" she said smiling. Before i go Barnaby reminded me at the end of this semester to get my western nation adventure license made. Because after this semester if anything works smoothly, i be at a semi master class even at the low level. I can submitted a permit from the city hall to become a national freelancer and can hunt not only in Rogan. Able to take various missions from private and governmental sector. Legal and all, "that would be great for your family and net." He said. That is how i gonna make a name for myself in this world.

I meet my team mates as the bus came to picked us on the city hall, to the Valorem. On the way there i just receive a news that the second team has passed after re taken test. "We are going to party tonite!" Dean is shouting, Shawn trying to hold him and Grey was laughing. Jean was next to me talking, she is very beautiful if you get really close, she is simple and easy going. "You know Cass, my dad is telling me to get the national adventure license at the end of the semester." Suddenly the three stooges decides to drop in on our conversation. Naturally three of us will be semi master and able to register. So our new goal is to became a full fledged adventurers, on the end of the semester.

That nite 10 people are partying on the simulation world, we have a fireworks simulation running for us about 1 hours long. After that back to our routine training, making things normal all of the sudden. I pity the second team, not having any refreshing trips from the routines. My team come back fresh, and ready to fully indulge the subjects.

In a week time i take my solo test, it was fighting with a classmate, one of the Betta team, 'yes!' Its also involved a circle, we both get zaps if we are not fighting for real. It was not about the winner or the loser, but the techniques and element uses.

The test was mediocre, the team test is harder. I'm glad i listen to Rio Gomez and the other SS, taken the team test as priority.

The solo subject gained after the test was advanced element training, and the team subject was a field trip every month for a week each. In this semester the students is free to challenge for a class upgrade, but the rules was only two times can be done.The system work for the class upgrade is easy, you has to get three recommendation to be promoted, three pass but only given one failed attempt, so nobody doings any rush challenging, over this matters.

My mediation of core forming is nearing completions, for this matter i can't asked anybody for advice since this year was the pilot project of this new engine. Every night i always doing a two hours coding, lately the advancement became very murky, at a mistaken coding a 2% gain could resolve a 3% sets back. So i am slowing it down constructing the engine, now i am at 95%. I try to get a hold to not rushing things, i will succeed in making this works.

Today is the two months that Fang has been waiting for, as we walked to the Valorem bestiary to get Smoke from the nursery. She is very cute yellowish white with leopard pattern, "papa?" After getting her settled, i let Fang to baby sits, i get back meditating to complete the core.

Later that evening a system message arrived at my neural linked, a request for an away mission have been accepted by the Valorem. Tasking my team to take the mission, and a mission detail attached to the message visualize in my monocle.

Our team decided to take this mission, we will be shipped in two days time. I continued to building the core engine as carefully as i can. I hate leaving everything undone the pressure is making me tired every time. Restarting a work that required a long time takes wills and attitudes. "Yes!" As the completion moved to 96%, enough for today. I feeds Fang and Smoke, and begin to list the things i need to prepare for my missions. One thing that I'm sure of, that after Smoke came home, Fang annoying question for this two months is putted to rest, permanently!
