As the night progressed, the thunderstorm got intensified.

After finishing all her work, Lin XiuRong was heading towards her house. That's right, even though she mostly works in the mansion, she apparently isn't even allowed to stay there.

The rain was quite fierce, enough to get you soaked in an instant. Thankfully, Lin XiuRong had an umbrella.

Her house was not far away, it would usually take a minute or so, but considering the pace at which she was walking, it seemed unlikely that she would arrive there any sooner.

Her steps were slow and haphazard, it seemed like she was in a completely different world of hers, unaware of her surroundings.

It was obvious that tonight's incident had a significant effect on her mind.

After walking for a while, she finally made it to her home.

As she got near, she noticed something laying outside her house. On a closer look, she noticed that it was a person, specifically a man.

His clothes were ruined and his body was completely covered in mud, although thanks to the rain that helped wash some of it off.

His skin appeared black with burns and bruises everywhere, and was even taking off from certain locations. He looked more like a corpse than a living person.

Looking at the person laying on her door steps, Lin XiuRong felt utter disgust, and hatred.

Unsure of whether he was alive or dead, she stepped forward and kicked his crotch.

" Aagh...! "

Surprisingly, what she heard was not a scream of agony, but rather a moan of pleasure.

Hearing him moan, she felt completely disgusted, she could not believe that a man could be so disgusting.

" Filthy Rat...! " Following her words, she kicked him again in the same spot, but this time the force was strong enough to crush his ball.

Though unconscious, the intense pain of getting his balls crushed was not something that would be ignored.

The scream was so loud that it alerted the entire neighborhood.

Knowing that someone would show up sooner or later, Lin XiuRong started to think of how to handle this situation.

Oddly enough, the next second after putting her umbrella aside, she rubbed her hands on the ground. Her hands ended up completely covered in mud, and she applied some of it to her clothes too.

As expected, an old-looking man arrived near the house.

Faced with these numerous questions, Lin XiuRong didn't say anything, but there were tears coming from her eyes.

Upon seeing Lin Fan's unconscious body, the old man immediately went there and attempted to check his pulse.

" That's bad... " The old man muttered with a grim expression on his face.

Hearing his words, Lin XiuRong looked even more devastated.

" Uncle, what happened? Is Lin going to be alright? " She asked in a manner that made her look extremely concerned.

When he saw the little girl looking so worried and concerned, the old man couldn't help but think about how lucky Lin fan was. To have such a beautiful girl love you so much, he was quite happy for Lin fan.

"Don't worry Rong'er, he'd be fine. He was just struck by lightning, but his pulse looks good, I'll treat him right away. " Saying that, he picked Lin fan in his arms.

Initially he found it quite uncomfortable to sleep in a luxurious bed after so many years. But the exhaustion quickly overtook the discomfort, causing him to succumb to a deep sleep.

While Keith was taking his beauty sleep, he was completely unaware that someone was sitting right in front of him, constantly staring at his face.

Following her words, she glanced at him again, causing her to blush.

Looking at Keith's sleeping face she couldn't help but adore him.

Realising that she was getting charmed, she quickly slapped her face a few times, trying to snap out of it.

Even though the sound was not loud, it definitely caused pain.

' Don't get charmed, he is just another weak man, you can't fall for them' Completely contrasting to her thoughts, she kept continuously staring at him.
