You must be joking

"End possession!"

As soon as the hoarse animal-like voice disappeared, the werewolf went limp as though it was deprived of life.

Geof then stood up from his couch as he stretched his stiff body.

"That was close!" Geof exclaimed as he put his puppet inside his inventory.

Since it was soulless, a puppet, Geof could store the werewolf freely in the origin crystal just like any object inside his inventory.

"Speaking of inventory, I managed to grab some soul fragments earlier!" Geof recalled after he ran out from the 'Holy Land'.

Geof's escape wasn't easy.

The moment he came out from the holy land, he was assaulted by Tawos called Goblins.

They were quick and coordinated like the red monkeys, their numbers were also on par.

However, there was one particular thing that made them different and deadly. It was their weapon that looked quite similar to an antique firearm.

The firearm shoot projectiles stone covered in fire, lightning, poison, or ice.

It was so fast and shot rapidly that it almost caught Geof off guard.

Thankfully, his fighting skill was further honed in Gaia's Land and his Divine class talent wasn't just for show.

When he used [Quick Movement], the tables immediately turned.

The skill didn't even end as Geof eliminated the whole Goblin crew. He then went to a hidden cave to activate the Return Scroll which required 2 hours of preparation.

His Moonlight Claws made Tawos below the Core Realm insignificant to Geof. With one slashed he could he could kill a dozen!

However, his pursuers weren't just the red monkey or goblins, but the whole forest!

The Tawos with high cultivation he once saw would definitely join the hunt!

Geof shook his head as he tried to remove his terrifying thoughts, "Surely they will stop searching after I disappear for a while."

Geof convinced himself as he tap the origin crystal to open the system interface.

The origin crystal projected a virtual screen.

Soul Fragment (SF): 120 ]

50 Goblins totaled only to 150 Soul Fragments... "It's barely enough," Geof frowned.

Unfortunately, he didn't gain any soul fragments from the stone golems, or else he would be rich right now.

Geof still wondered about the absence of the system during his trial in the Gaia's Land.

Was the system banned from that mystical place?

Or the trial didn't physically exist and transpired only in his mind.

But the latter was more plausible. After all, the system was created by a 'God', it couldn't simply be discovered by just anyone.

Geof stopped his thoughts and went his way to the kitchen. He couldn't be bothered too much by something beyond his reach.

Geof only has to remind himself to be cautious on similar events like the Gaia's Blessings.

"Okay! Let's reward myself with a Hotpot!" Geof said with enthusiasm as he bought ingredients in the system's <Shop>.

However, what Geof didn't know was that his guesses were both right.

Millions of lights years away from him...

In the middle of an illusory pond encompassed by a vast halo of light in the sky, a man with a black mask that covered his features was sitting with his legs crossed.

His body was clad in white garments that flows with the air, he looked as though he was a great deity from heaven.

It was then that the space in the sky suddenly distorted, a fairy-like woman covered in pure white clouds —that serves as her clothes— walkout and approached the man with a bright smile.

"How's your recovery?" The woman asked, "This place should fit to your liking right?"

"It's good." The man responded.

"I told you that it's useless to develop that dimension but you never listen–"

"Enough." The man interrupted as he gazed at the woman coldly.

"Okay.. okay. I'm sorry."

The man ignored her as an invisible cyclone of dense mana continued to surge into his body.

"Oh right, earlier one of your creations entered my domain."

"The one that gives blessings?" The man said noncommittally.

"Yeap!" The woman was happy to receive a lengthy response. "The guy was incredible actually. He remained until the 15th wave! Do you want to know his blessing? I added a little bonus because of you."

"What kind?"

"You should try a little if you want to convince me to tell you." She teased.

"Oh.."

Hearing the disinterested voice, the woman was disheartened but quickly recovered, "Due to your insurmountable strength and unparalleled beauty I blessed him with the Moonlight Claw!"

"Lucky him," The man rolled his eyes. 'Going with your logic, I should have been the one to be rewarded instead and not him!'

The man's silly reaction ignited a smile on the woman's face. It was a smile that would persecute mortals, a smile belonging only to goddesses.

"It was the 'other' moonlight claws!" The woman said with excitement.

"!!!" The man almost coughed from surprise."You what–"

"Oh no! My parents are calling me, I should go! Bye-bye! Don't worry that guy won't notice it!" The woman laughed as she disappeared in the air.

"Gaia you must be joking, we don't have parents!" The man shouted angrily as the cyclone of dense mana wavered.

"That thing was too valuable. I can't believe that girl just give it off to someone else," The man rubbed his temple. That girl, Gaia, never failed to annoy him. Despite being one of the creators of the supreme dimension, she always acted like a child.

"It's been 2 days now and 20% have died. More than I expected." His face turned solemn as a virtual screen similar but more refined than Geof appeared.

"I'll have to release an update earlier than I thought.."

He has to do something, at this rate, humans would likely diminish over time.

...

....

Geof was still in the kitchen when a system notification interrupted his sumptuous meal.

[System Update available. Update System?]

"The system can be updated?" Geof was visibly surprised and delighted, "Yes!"

[System Updating!...]

[...100%]

[System Updated!]

"That was fast!" Geof blurted, "I wonder what's new...."

Ting.

Geof spoon dropped as his mouth formed an 'O'.

"Inter... net..?" Geof's face was weird, "Was God perhaps influenced by the modern world?"

The image of an old conservative God with a gray beard was thus broken in Geof's mind.
