Chapter 60: Started

Sneaking back into the Scarlet sect was relatively easy, especially when no one could notice you with all the fog around, of course, if they were to be discovered like normal mortals then that would be a different story.

Upon their return to the 12th peak of the Scarlet Sect, the rising sun cast its golden rays upon the landscape. Despite this picturesque scene, the thick fog shrouded the sect, obscuring it from view.

Jun lay sprawled on the ground, his clothes soaked with sweat, his chest heaving as he gasped for air. It had been a grueling eight hours of relentless running, punctuated by occasional encounters with brainless monsters that charged at them.

As for Yinling, she was passed out on the couch from exhaustion. Jun had to carry her back halfway back to the sect from after losing all her physical energy, making the trip a little harder on Jun.

Even with all of this, Jun had a huge grin on his face when remembered he now had at least a 7-star immortal city in his back pocket to be used at his disposal whenever he wanted.

"Such a huge city must have had some 4 Noble families bullshit, so that means there must be a gold safe in each of their homes somewhere," Jun thought, already imagining himself buying a huge mansion.

Although cultivators in general look down on mortal concepts such as gold and items like that, Jun is not a person of this continent so such pleasures naturally intrigue Jun very much.

In his previous life, Jun had never known wealth, so the prospect of suddenly being on the brink of immense riches made his heart race with excitement. It was a dream come true, fulfilling a wish he had harbored since childhood.

But all of these require money to buy, of course, there is another option which is to take them by force... but where is the fun in that?

"Two more days until these games..." Jun spoke sitting up, trying his best to ignore the feeling of sweaty clothes on his skin "I should set up the array to recover our strength first"

Sitting there for a bit, Jun eventually stood up and set up the array, once finished, he carried Yinling sweaty form princess style into the array and set her on the floor. Immediately upon entering the array, Jun felt his depleted body instantly start to soar in energy.

Even with Yinling unconscious, her body naturally harmonized with the energy and started to produce energy at a rapid pace, stirring her awake with the huge rush of energy her body started producing.

"Yinling," Jun's voice cut through the haze of her mind. "Wake up."

Slowly, Yinling's eyelids fluttered open, her gaze shifting to find Jun sitting beside her.

With a soft sigh, she closed her eyes again, allowing herself to sink into the comforting embrace of the floor. A small smile tugged at her lips. "Thanks," she whispered, her voice barely above a breath.

Jun couldn't help but feel a flutter of warmth at the sight of her smile, but he quickly pushed aside his emotions, focusing on the task at hand.

"No problem," he replied, masking his feelings with a casual tone. "But I think it's time for you to start cultivating. We don't have much time left before the competition."

Yinling's expression grew more serious at the mention of the competition. While she had little interest in such events, she understood the importance of using this opportunity to gather information about Heaven's Eternal Alliance.

Sitting up, Yinling started absorbing the new energy into her body according to the pathways described by Jun that were most efficient for her body.

Jun likewise closed his eyes and started practicing as well.

30 minutes later...

Jun opened his eyes, but unlike last time, there were no pressure waves of indestructible momentum or wind blowing objects away. Like a blank canvas, Jun quite literally looked like an ordinary mortal with a faint noble aura on him. His eyes glowed a faint tint of soft white but were hardly noticeable.

"I have finally reached it... the 100th realm," Jun whispered in awe, marveling at the faint transformation that adorned his form.

To perfect and temper one's body has long been thought to have been accomplished the higher realm you go. But at the core of all of this, it had a major flaw, it used spiritual energy. Now with Jun using this new energy that resonates with the human body all the way, those previous limits have all been shattered and taken to a whole new level.

As stated previously, like a blank canvas, Jun's body was ready to be morphed to the next level, with this, a cultivator would never have to worry about stabilizing their cultivation or forcibly pushing to the next realm damaging one's foundation. These were all things of the past now with Juns body perfectly tempered body.

Not to mention the daunting strength in Jun's body which could destroy his previous self many times over.

Turning his gaze towards Yinling, Jun observed her still immersed in her practice. She had only just broken through a few seconds ago.

"While she's busy... I guess its time," Jun declared silently to himself. With a determined focus, he closed his eyes and re-activated his epiphany system. Jun was poised to break through into the next realm beyond the body-tempering realm—the Qi realm. However, Jun was determined to approach it differently than his previous self would have.

Absorbing the energy from the array, Jun meticulously analyzed every detail with his divine sense. With precision, he guided the energy to the center of his body, ready to embark on this transformative journey.
