Heartless
This is another slow and weak at the start progression type story. The MC gains 'entries' that have some sort of effect on his abilities. One could almost call them equivalent to gaming titles. He starts out having great difficulty going the normal/orthodox route of cultivating qi and goes the alternative route to cultivate the body. The idea is that as long as he makes his body better he will likely finally be able to improve his talents in the more orthodox route of qi cultivation. Personally, I think this story has a great deal of potential. The sect and the world background does not seem to be quite the dog eat dog world type situation. It seems to have rules and laws that members must follow. I will hold on for the next 20 chapters to see if I can really like the story.
Honestly, it's... kinda bad. Plot conveniences everywhere. The MC has apparently been able to fuse his "descriptors" for a while, but he NEVER tries to do so until the beginning of the novel? He uses it once, then seemingly forgets about it, never mind any of his other descriptors that might also benefit from fusion. The only reason the plot moves forwards at all is because the author draped a bunch of faceslapping antagonists and bizarre system mechanics over the plot.
I like it. At first I thought it was going to be a zero to hero in a minute, slapping everyone's faces, etc, etc, but no. The cheat given to the protagonist still requires him to work hard, especially hard. In additionally, he is actually paving a path in cultivation, which is a bit unusual to see, even with cheats. Pretty nice.
Just a waste of time, the plot is slow, sometimes I like slow plot but this is too slow, and the mc seems to be lacking braincells, the title is misleading as well, he doesn't add "Description" to his body, it is more like fusion, but he doesn't use it and the only time he use it is when the author want to make a small progressions in the story, the authors lack of intelligence is insufferable, it is more faceslapping than actual story progressions.
its a pretty good story up until around chapter 100ish, though obbiously it has issues. primarily, its how casually the MC can grow in strength, but i enjoyed it cause i like overpowered MCs. however, around chapter 100 it seems to change to an entirely different story. The MC goes from being a body refiner (thus having a strong and muscular body) to being thin and lanky. he goes from being an extremely acomplished alchemist to being incapable of making a basic fasting pill. he goes from being able to make pill after pill easily to making a single pill exhausting him. read at your own peril, it was a waste of my coins
Surprise surprise, the MC ruins the novel. Shocking right? This guy lacks common sense, doesn't know how to communicate, and just lost in his own world. It's like having all of Legoland all to yourself but the only thing you create from it is a basic one story, one room house with a flat roof with all of the brick masters standing there waiting for you to ask them questions.Verdict: Dropped
