Chapter 7: The Beginning

2019, May 20th, Monday.

I've been eagerly waiting for the canon to start, and finally, after almost a year of anticipation, the time has come. My supernatural senses tingled as I felt Shuhang's addition to the Chat Group. I knew I had to act quickly and use a certain technique of the Fate Scripture to join the group at the same time as him.

Yellow Mountain, the group's admin, made two mistakes while adding new members into the Nine Provinces (1) Group. The first was when he mistakenly added a mortal named Song Shuhang, that went by the online name 'Stressed by a Mountain of Books', which he quickly realized. However, he couldn't resist the call of Fate and let the mortal stay for now.

The members of the Cultivation Chat Group were engaged in a lively discussion when True Monarch Yellow Mountain suddenly interrupted. "Guys, I have a confession to make," he typed in the group chat. "I made a mistake and accidentally added a Mortal to our group, but let him stay, after all, this can also be considered to be a type of Fate."

The group fell silent as they processed the information. Unlike the original incident, Yellow Mountain had realized his mistake on the spot and had written to the group immediately. A Mortal's presence in their group was unprecedented, but Yellow Mountain had a point - it could be considered fate.

Despite his admission, Yellow Mountain's ego still wouldn't allow him to fully acknowledge his mistake. He argued that as the famous True Monarch, he couldn't possibly make such a fundamental error. However, the group members knew that even the most powerful cultivators could make mistakes, and they accepted the Mortal's presence as part of his fate.

Just like usual, Thrice Reckless Mad Saber couldn't keep his mouth shut and felt that he needed to seek death by mocking Yellow Mountain for his mistake.

After this, Yellow Mountain tried to add his good friend's daughter to the group once more. However, he made the same mistake as before. This time however it wasn't due to his carelessness, instead it was an intervention of fate on my side.

I, an avid reader of the novel 'Cultivation Chat Group', had just finished wreaking havoc in a GTA lobby as I saw a notification that a certain Yellow Mountain has sent me a request to join his Nine Provinces (1) group. Knowing that my fate manipulation succeeded, I accepted the invitation to join the group chat.

'Finally, after all this waiting and cultivating it begins' I thought as I happily read the messages of the group I was just added into.

[You have joined the group chat, do say hello to the other group members! ?]

And there it was, the legendary message that stated that I joined this group of not so powerful cultivators.

Just like with Shuhang, Trice Reckless couldn't miss this opportunity to seek death to make a bold statement. "What's the gender of our new fellow daoist? Are you a fairy? If so, please announce your three sizes and upload a photo!" he exclaimed.

The group fell silent as they waited for the response. Northern River's Loose Cultivator, who was always quick to point out the flaws in Thrice Reckless' statements, spoke up. "Brother Thrice Reckless, do you belong to a goldfish species or something? What if True Monarch Yellow Mountain had invited another senior? You may bring disaster upon yourself once again!" he chided.

Thrice Reckless Mad Saber was taken aback by the rebuke, and memories of his past mistakes came flooding back. He realized that he had offended a senior before with his careless remarks, and he didn't want to make the same mistake again. Just then, a new message popped up in the chat, and it was from the new member.

I felt the need to reply to him, while secretly also thinking if it would be a good idea to let Trice Reckless have a 'vacation' in the Realm of Slowness. On a voluntary basis, of course (:

"I'm pleased to meet you all," the message read. "My Dao Name is Zenith Heaven Emperor. Here's a picture of my family." The message was accompanied by a family picture of my mother, my father and me.

Thrice Reckless Mad Saber looked at the picture in anticipation, hoping to catch a glimpse of my three sizes. However, his hopes were soon shattered as I continued the message. "Trice Reckless, I hope you like it, but on a side note just for you, I have a special bloodline that allows me to transform into a female and a male form. Normally I'm in my male form as I identify as male!"

The Nine Provinces Group was in utter shock upon gazing at the picture before them, but for a different reason as Trice Reckless. Their eyes widened as they recognized a familiar face. "White!" exclaimed one member, while another gasped, "White has a child?" The revelation left them all stunned, and they couldn't help but wonder why Yellow Mountain had brought this new Daoist into their group without telling them about this beforehand.

Thrice Reckless, in particular, felt a shiver run down his spine as he considered the implications of offending Senior White. The mere thought of it was enough to send chills down his spine. After all, Senior White was one of the most powerful cultivators in their circle.

As the conversation continued, Su Clan's Seven chimed in with a question. "Do we know anything about the child?" he asked, their curiosity piqued by the revelation. The others shook their heads and didn't reply, indicating that they were just as clueless.

It was clear to them Senior White's child was no ordinary cultivator, and his potential was limitless. But what did this mean for the rest of them? Would they be able to keep up with the next generation of cultivators, or would they be left behind?

In the end, the group members could only wait for True Monarch Yellow Mountain to come online to ask him about this particular new member. However, they had to wait until the next day, as True Monarch Yellow Mountain had to once again arrange for someone to chase after his beloved monster dog that had run away once again.

Next day, May 21st, Tuesday, 1 AM.

In the Nine Provinces (1) Group, True Monarch Yellow Mountain had finally appeared online, and Northern River's Loose Cultivator wasted no time in asking him about something that was on his mind. He asked why Yellow Mountain did not inform anyone about White's descendant before adding him to the group.

True Monarch Yellow Mountain was taken aback by the question, as he had not heard of any such person. However, he clarified that the newcomer was actually the daughter of an old friend of his who was born in this era. True Monarch Yellow Mountain was taken aback by the question, as he had not heard of any such person. However, he clarified that the newcomer was actually the daughter of another old friend of his who was born in this era, but definitely not Whites.

According to True Monarch Yellow Mountain, the newcomer had exceptional aptitude and was currently in the Third Stage Acquired Realm. She was expected to advance to the Fourth Stage Innate Realm soon, despite her young age. Northern River's Loose Cultivator was surprised by this revelation and directed Yellow Mountain's attention to a picture of the newcomer.

As Yellow Mountain cast his eyes upon the image, he was startled by what he saw. "Wait, fellow daoist White has a descendant? Why do I know nothing about this?" he exclaimed, his mind racing with questions and curiosity.

As they sat in their respective seats, the group couldn't help but ponder the sheer stroke of luck that had allowed one of their own to accidentally add the descendant of Senior White. It was a unique and intriguing situation, especially considering the circumstances that had led up to this unexpected occurrence.

The silence was broken as one of the members spoke up. "I can't believe this happened," Yellow Mountain wrote, breaking the silence. "I mean, what are the odds? It's like fate was at work here.", but then he thought that the person in question is related to White, and it at least appeared a little bit more logical.

"And as much as I hate to admit it, it does seem like it was inevitable. After all, it's White we're talking about here. His bloodline seems to be just as... unpredictable, to say the least."

The group fell silent once again after reading the True Monarch's newest message, each member lost in their own thoughts, thinking about the time they spent with White.

The conversation in the Cultivation Chat Group took an unexpected turn when the new member, Zenith Heaven Emperor, shared a shocking revelation about the true identity of White's supposed descendant. "Hold on, everyone," He said, "I just did a divination regarding this 'White' you all are talking about. I found out that this 'White' you are talking about does indeed look like my father and even has the same name, but I can assure you, the 'White' you are talking about isn't my father, instead he could be considered as an indirect disciple of my Father!"

The group was taken aback by this revelation. "What do you mean, indirect disciple?" Yellow Mountain asked.

I explained further, "My Father was fascinated that someone aside from a clone could look so similar to him, and judged their meeting as a fateful encounter. At least according to my divination results, the name 'White' was given to him by my father, because of before mentioned reasons!".

The group listened intently, amazed by the revelation. Northern River's Loose Cultivator spoke up, "This is truly fascinating. I can't believe we never knew about this before."

As the group processed this new information, they couldn't help but be fascinated by what they had learned about their Senior White.
