Aqua and Eris

The red Kobold immediately feels a powerful force hitting his right cheek, and a few teeth fly from his mouth as his face contorts from the impact of Milcar's punch.

The green Kobold is about to intervene to attack Milcar, seeing her red brother losing the fight. However, a sudden fog appears out of nowhere, blanketing the entire battlefield, blinding the green Kobold.

No one Kobold can see anything; a sudden fog has appeared everywhere. A faint sound is heard, and Milcar, surprised by the smoke, feels delicate hands grab him around the waist before being dragged away.

The speed of the person dragging him is fast, and Milcar is pulled out of the fog within a couple of seconds.

Milcar, sensing that the person dragging him doesn't seem to intend to kill him, lifts his head slightly, only to see a beautiful face with a small scar on her cheek and short white hair.

"Eris", Milcar says quietly. The girl doesn't seem to have any intention of stopping; she only glances at Milcar for a moment before continuing to run, her grip on Milcar's waist tightening a bit.

"You've been looking for me this morning, well, I was looking for you too, I didn't think I'd have to save your ass...", Eris says with a slight smile.

Milcar simply smiles slightly before feeling his body weakening rapidly.

Fortunately for Milcar and Eris, the Kobolds show no signs of chasing them.

Milcar lowers his head slightly before sighing with relief.

"Why?", Suddenly, Eris stops. She props Milcar up so he can stand on his two feet.

"I don't understand...", Milcar replies sincerely, looking into Eris' bright eyes.

Eris bites her lip for a moment before leaning in toward Milcar. Her face inches gradually closer to Milcar's.

"You're lying... Why ask me to be your subordinate?, You could have asked for a powerful ability?..." Eris asks seriously.

Milcar lets out a slight groan as he feels his organs turning to mush.

"Well, Would you believe me if I told you it was Aqua's idea?", Milcar smiles nervously as he feels Eris' face getting closer.

Eris quickly pulls back and sighs resentfully. "Well, maybe that makes more sense, but still, you should've refused. What in the world does it mean for a goddess to be the subordinate of a mortal?", Eris mutters resentfully before picking Milcar up over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

"Let's go...", Eris curses before running in a specific direction.

"Where are we going?", Milcar asks. Eris lets out a faint devilish laugh.

"We need to heal you. Your... ability... I can tell that the power you just used has drained all your vitality. If we don't do something, you'll die", Eris says calmly.

There was a brief silence before Milcar laughed out loud.

"Thanks, I mean, you know, for saving me, hahaha, Eris... Is...", Milcar smiles. Eris doesn't respond, but she lowers her head slightly, mutters something under her breath, and continues running.

In a construction site, several workers laugh heartily. Aqua, in a uniform unbecoming of a goddess, paints a wall gracefully, and several workers compliment her. Kazuma, barely able to lift two bricks, watches with envy.

In this lively scene, Eris appears suddenly with Milcar on her shoulders.

Aqua, who was smiling while painting the wall, feels someone looking at her. She quickly turns to the right with mild curiosity.

Aqua's eyes show no emotion, and she tilts her head in confusion.

Eris rushes over to Aqua, and it doesn't take long before Eris stands right in front of Aqua.

"Aqua..." Eris murmurs in a somber voice. Aqua tilts her head slightly, indicating her confusion.

"Do I know you?", Aqua asks with a slight smile. She waves her hand slightly to hand something to Eris.

There was a brief silence. Eris's breathing becomes rapid, her red eyes glaring at Aqua with murderous intent, but she manages to calm the rising feelings in her heart.

"What the hell is that?, Lady Aqua, you...", Eris asks, seeing Aqua pointing a fist at her.

Aqua squints her eyes before smiling with her white teeth. She opens her hand, revealing what she had inside her fist—a classic candy from the novice town of Axel.

"You're beautiful, a girl with white hair, jejeje. I wanted to give you one of my favorite candies, but since you're so rude, well... sorry", Aqua apologizes slightly before retracting her hand and tucking the small candy into one of her pockets.

Eris opens her eyes wide, almost spitting out a mouthful of blood due to her rage. She clenches her teeth tightly, then takes a couple of deep breaths to calm down, before lowering Milcar from her shoulders.

"Heal him..." Eris murmurs in a low voice. Aqua tilts her head in confusion before looking at the man the girl in front of her has laid down on the ground.

"You!", Aqua shouts with obvious surprise in her voice. Several workers watch Aqua with curiosity, but they feel intimidated by the deathly expression on Eris's face.

From a distance, Kazuma observes Aqua and Eris with curiosity.

Milcar, who was breathing with difficulty and was about to lose consciousness, looks curiously at a beautiful face. The blue hair shines slightly, and her face, smeared with some fresh cement, seems quite familiar.

Milcar smiles faintly.

"Do you remember me now?, Lady Aqua..." Eris asks with contained anger.

"I... I'm sorry, but, Why did you bring your dying husband to Lord Arkwind's construction site?, it is... well, jejeje, Is this some weird fetish of yours?" Aqua asks seriously, looking into Eris's eyes.

"You bitch!... you... Aqua, the goddes of water, rather... the goddess of mental retardation", Eris breathes rapidly as if her body is starting to collapse from growing anger. However, Eris still retains her composure and looks at Aqua with seriousness.

"Heal him!" Eris orders.

"I refuse!!!, How can you have such a dirty mouth?, Do you kiss your husband with that dirty mouth?", Aqua tilts her head with firmness. "I can't heal your dying husband. I don't even know you. Please, you're interrupting my work, and besides, that's not the way to ask for favors", Aqua speaks seriously, then tries to return to the construction site to continue painting walls, but a hand on her shoulder stops her movements.

Aqua looks at Eris with a smug smile.

"Lady Aqua... I... please", Eris spits out these words with rage and tearful eyes. Aqua grins from ear to ear.

"Hehehe, well, if you call me Goddess Aqua and pledge your loyalty to me for life, maybe I'll consider it", Aqua puffs out her chest with pride.

"If you do it, I'll give you ten thousand Eris", Eris murmurs.

Aqua's eyes widen slightly, and she smiles even more broadly. "Sorry for my previous words, Lady, you should have said this earlier. I, Aqua, will do my best to save your husband's life".
