Mutou World!

Chapter 19: Mutou World!

Cao Caizhi took Fang Yuan to the biggest store in the city. The latter could only smile helplessly in his heart and step inside.

His heart suddenly shook when he was stared at by the two statues placed outside the door. He thought they were simply for decoration but that wasn't the truth. Fang Yuan got the same feeling as he had gotten from Shengong Linfang when the latter had forced him.

The stare was only for a moment and then things returned to normal. Cao Caizhi, one step behind him, respectfully followed Fang Yuan.

It was also his first time entering the store since even the cheapest thing available there might be worth several months of the earnings of the trio.

"Welcome to the Mutou store, distinguished guest!"

A gentle female voice rang in Fang Yuan's ears after he stepped inside the store. He looked in that direction and saw a beautiful girl standing with a respectful expression.

Fang Yuan's heart skipped a beat since he was also a young boy and it was his first time seeing that beautiful girl.

"Miss Zhao!"

Cao Caizhi couldn't help but become surprised after seeing the girl. He recognized the girl as Zhao Erling, the most talented cultivator of the city's current generation and the city lord's adopted daughter. He immediately greeted her.

Zhao Erling simply nodded and looked at Fang Yuan with an interested expression. The Mutou store was named after the world and was jointly controlled by the Shen Family and the Merchant Association.

Since the city lord was also a part of the association, Crimson Wood City held one of the largest branches of the store in the Mutou World.

Zhao Erling had also heard about the stranger with Blue Wood identity, so when she learned that the stranger was coming toward the store, she hurried. Since her father was a partner in the store, she easily replaced the attendant and greeted Fang Yuan.

Fang Yuan couldn't help but laugh in his heart after learning about the discount. The owner of Blue Wood Identities was given a flat thirty percent discount on all store products, except for the products managed but not owned by the store.

Since Fang Yuan was one such distinguished guest, he was eligible for the discount. He also noticed a difference in that the cultivation of arts and skills in the Mutou world was cheaper than in the original world.

But he also noticed a weirdness. Every cultivation art and skill was for the wooden element. The name of the world wasn't simply due to endless and different varieties of wood. Every cultivator born in that world was born with Wooden Spiritual roots.

Fang Yuan had recently learned that there were chances of him being a dual spiritual root of the wooden and earthen elements, with the wood being the dominant element. That made the Mutou World great for him since he might get a better cultivation art and skills for the wooden element compared to the Qingtian continent.

A few minutes later, a pained expression appeared on Fang Yuan's face when he saw the [Thorny Vine] skill in the store. In the evening market, he had purchased that skill for Thirty-two low-quality spirit stones, but in the Mutou store, it was available for only ten low-quality spirit stones, around one-third of the price.

Since Fang Yuan had already made the purchase, he could only take a deep breath and accept the loss. At the same time, a new business venture appeared in his mind.

The next moment, he immediately refuted that idea; selling cultivation arts and skills was different than the Crimson Wood. The former were in control of powerful cultivators across the continent, so trying to sell them was no less than wishing for a cruel death.

But he could still see some benefit. Even though he couldn't sell the cultivation arts and skills to gain large profits, he could still purchase some for himself and his family.

The spiritual roots didn't vary much in close families, and his mother was also a dual spiritual root user with a focus on wood and earth elements. His father had a triple spiritual root, with the elements being wood, earth, and water.

His two siblings were too young to find out their spiritual roots, but considering the family history, they might also have the wood element in their spiritual roots.

On the Qingtian Continent, the Spiritual roots were also of several grades and usually had the five primary elements of wood, earth, metal, fire, and water.

After making the plan, Fang Yuan splurged twenty-one low-quality spiritual stones and purchased two attacking skills [Vine Bind] and [Wooden Whip]. He had no skills before that day and was envious of those who had them, but only with the money he earned from a single tree, he gained four skills.

Fang Yuan vowed to keep the effect of the Broken Pagoda a secret from everyone and use it to his full advantage so his siblings would never need to be jealous of others.

After making the purchase, he thanked Zhao Erling and left the store with Cao Caizhi. There were still several hours left before the deadline of twenty hours was over, so he decided to check other stores.

His foot suddenly stopped when he heard Zhao Erling calling him. He turned around with a confused expression and saw her running toward him.

He couldn't help but make wild assumptions in his mind but tried to remain calm on the outside.

"Mr. Fang, let's add each other," Zhao Erling suddenly stated.

Fang Yuan became confused about what Zhao Erling meant by that but he immediately understood when he saw her taking the identity token out and tapping on the pattern at the back. She had a Red Wood identity.

Fang Yuan couldn't help but grow shocked in his heart since he never found any such function of his identity token. He could take it out in reality, so he studied it in detail, but it was simply a block of wood.

"Let's not be in a hurry."

Fang Yuan didn't follow through and responded. He then turned around and left the scene while Zhao Erling looked at the scene with a shocked expression.
