Chapter 4: Another World!

[The time flow rate between the two worlds is 10 to 1.]

[You can stay here for twenty hours while only two hours will pass in the original world. You will automatically be teleported back to your location twenty hours later.]

Information popped out of Fang Yuan's head as he tried to comfort himself after the dizzy feeling of teleportation. It had only been instantaneous, but even at that time, Fang Yuan felt as if he had disintegrated into tiny particles and then rejoined.

Once the dizziness had disappeared and he became comfortable, Fang Yuan looked around, trying to find where he was. But without the dizziness, a feeling of fear enveloped him.

According to the information, he was in a different world and was on his own. How could he not feel fear since he had lived all his life in safety?

There was poverty, but the law and order were stringent due to the federation's tight control over the Qingtian Continent. But since he had left the continent, the federation was no longer there to protect him.

Crunch! Crunch! Crunch!

Fang Yuan suddenly jumped out of shock when he heard the sound of footsteps approaching him. His face turned pale since he was in the middle of a small jungle, and it was daytime.

"Who is there?"

A hoarse female voice rang in Fang Yuan's ears, surprising him. The language was unknown to Fang Yuan since he had never heard of anything like that before, but he could easily understand what the voice said.

Not long after, a group of three people crossed the distance and appeared in a visible range. A relieved sigh appeared on Fang Yuan's face since the people looked like him.

If they were to look different, Fang Yuan didn't even dare imagine what they would do with an alien.

The three people had an opposite reaction since it was their first time seeing Fang Yuan, and their tribe controlled the entire jungle and the territories around it. They immediately became ready for war but had confused expressions when the stranger spoke.

"Hello, I have lost my way," Fang Yuan responded with as wide a smile as he could make, making him look awkward.

The three people were confused since the language spoken by the stranger was of their tribe, and it wasn't that known for others to know. They then accepted Fang Yuan as one of the many they had never seen in the tribe.

"Thank you for helping me," Fang Yuan thanked the three of them after leaving the jungle.

Before him stood a large city, with numerous people entering and exiting. It was a wooden city, with every building solely made of wood.

The three hadn't left but stood there, waiting to find Fang Yuan's identity. To enter the city, he would need to show his identity. They didn't ask Fang Yuan directly about it because if he turned out to be from one of the families in the city, they would be in trouble.

The guards at the gates had no such worries since they were ordered by the city lord to allow entry only after confirming the identity, irrespective of the status of the person.

Fang Yuan had a rough idea of what the three of them wanted, and he couldn't help but frown. He had no identity since he had only appeared here several minutes ago.

"Eh!" Fang Yuan suddenly exclaimed in surprise as he suddenly felt a bulge in his front pant pockets.

His sense of dressing was different, but it wasn't very different, so the three of them didn't care much about it.

'Is this the newbie package?' Fang Yuan couldn't help but laugh in his heart since the bulge was none other than his identity card.

It was an octagonal device made of wood. His face was carved on one side, while the other side had the name of the city.

"Blue Wood!" The woman suddenly exclaimed in surprise when she saw the item in Fang Yuan's hands.

In the Crimson Wood City, there were five levels of identity. Yellow Wood, Green Wood, Red Wood, Blue Wood, and Orange Wood. The Yellow Wood was the lowest, while the Orange Wood was the highest.

There was only one holder of Orange Wood, and that was the city lord, while there were five holders of the Blue Wood identity, and each one of them was the head of the five families.

Fang Yuan's Blue Wood identity meant he was at the same level as the head of the noble families. Even though they couldn't see whether Fang Yuan was a cultivator or not, their intuition told them he wasn't a tough opponent.

Fang Yuan's lips twitched when he saw the reactions of the three people. He couldn't help but have a headache since having no identity and having a great identity were both troubles, and he wanted to steer clear of both of them.

The sudden shout from the woman alerted the guards as well. Even they had shocked expressions written all over their faces.

A/N: The world in this book will have the same ancient Eastern feel with a blend of modernity. There will be apartments, mobile phones, internet forums, and many other modern inventions, except for weapons. I don't like reading about guns and missiles in cultivation stories, and I guess there are many like me, so the book wouldn't have modern weapons.

Before others ask, there will be no advanced sci-fi technology.
