3 Secrets and a Savior

Zhang Wei was taken to the Chi family's mansion and given a small room to call his own. Grateful for the warmth and food provided by the family, he worked wholeheartedly and diligently. However, he soon realized that his life with the Chi family was far from perfect.

The Chi family treated him poorly, often abusing him both verbally and physically. They made him do all the household chores and barely gave him enough food to survive. He was beaten for not completing tasks to their satisfaction and constantly belittled, making him feel worthless.

Despite the hardships and abuse, Zhang Wei refused to give up. He knew that living with the Chi family was his only chance to change his fate and become an immortal. Rumors had circulated that the Chi family was a cultivation family, and he was determined to find a way to join their ranks.

Years passed, and Zhang Wei grew accustomed to the harsh conditions of life as a servant. He became an expert at navigating the household using his other senses. But deep down, he still longed for a way to see the world again.

Zhang Wei had been working in the Chi family for two long years, but he still had not received any news about the Chi family's immortals. He was beginning to lose hope and feel discouraged. He had heard rumors about the Chi family being a cultivation family, but he had never got any evidence of it.

One day as Zhang Wei continued to clean the courtyard, he suddenly felt a jolt in his body. His vision had been restored! Excitedly, he looked at himself in the mirror, only to find that his eyes were still hollow and empty. He knew that others would still believe him to be blind, but he saw this as an advantage.

With his restored eyesight, Zhang Wei could navigate the household even more effectively. He could observe the family members and look for any clues that might lead him to the Chi family's immortal. At first, he only wanted to find an immortal to cultivate just to restore his eyesight, but now that he could see again, his desires had evolved. He knew from the moment he arrived in this world that it was full of dangers, and he had no support or knowledge of this world. To protect himself, he needed power, and immortality was the only way to achieve that power. More so, he wanted to become immortal to see if he could return to his original world. Spending all these years in the Chi family had made him obsessed with becoming immortal, and he would do anything to achieve it.

So he went about his daily chores, keeping his eyes and ears open for any information about the Chi family's cultivation practices. Despite his newfound ability to see, Zhang Wei still had to keep up the pretense that he was blind. He didn't want to draw attention to himself or reveal his true intentions. He had to be patient and bide his time, waiting for the right opportunity to present itself.

Another year passed without any fruit, and Zhang Wei still had not found any traces of immortals. However, his time in the Chi mansion was not completely fruitless. With his restored eyesight, he had witnessed many secrets of the Chi family over the year.

Some of the secrets he had seen were harmless and amusing, causing him to almost laugh out loud as he thought about them. However, there were other secrets that were so disgusting and disturbing that the mere thought of them sent shivers down his spine.

As Zhang Wei continued to hide his restored eyesight, he was still seen as a blind servant in the eyes of others. However, due to his discreet and reliable nature, he was often called upon for secret tasks, such as bringing items to couples engaged in intimate moments.

Zhang Wei was aware of the secrets and hidden desires of the people in the mansion, but he remained silent, knowing that if they discovered he could see, he would be in grave danger. Some couples even enjoyed having him, a blind man, stand by as they engaged in their activities. His popularity as a servant grew quickly, and almost every night he was called upon by an elder or a noble young master.

While Zhang Wei had grown accustomed to these types of requests, one encounter changed everything. When he was called to serve the Chi family patriarch, he finally witnessed the true nature of human evil. Despite his dignified and respectable character, the patriarch had a hidden, despicable side that disgusted and frightened Zhang Wei.

Zhang Wei had served the patriarch more than five times, and after witnessing his misconducts, he felt a deep sense of disgust and fear. He knew that he had to be careful around the patriarch, and he feared for his own safety.

Zhang Wei knew that if the Chi family found out that he could see and had seen all their secrets, they would not hesitate to kill him and feed him to the dogs. He had to keep his newfound ability a secret, even if it meant keeping quiet about the atrocities he had seen.

One day, while working in the courtyard, Zhang Wei became distracted thinking about Chi Patriarchs deeds and made a mistake. A young Chi family member decided to punish him and have a little fun with Zhang Wei to entertain his friends. They decided to tie him up and skin him alive, just for the enjoyment of it. Zhang Wei was horrified and pleaded for forgiveness, but they ignored his pleading. The young master ordered his guard to apprehend Zhang Wei and laid him out on a table, as his friends gathered around to enjoy the process.

Zhang Wei thought he might die before he could find the immortal, as he felt helpless in the situation and was filled with despair. As the Chi family young master and his friends were about to begin skinning him, a miracle happened. Madam Chi, the wife of the Chi family patriarch, saw what was happening and immediately stepped in to stop them. She was also horrified at the sight of Zhang Wei, who was tied up and ready to be skinned alive.

Madam Chi commanded the youngsters to stop their cruel and inhumane treatment of Zhang Wei, and they immediately complied. She then untied him and freed him from the Chi family's grasp. Zhang Wei was overjoyed and grateful to Madam Chi, who had saved him from certain death.
