5 Li Luo's Secret

Back to a few minutes earlier.

The golden lights from Kong Xiang's sphere somehow got into her consciousness and made contact with the two sealed orbs. The seals on them melted like butter immediately, and the orbs instantly shone.

The golden sphere returned to Kong Xiang, but the orbs in her mind seemed to have been activated and began to glow in resplendent golden lights that were no less intense than that of the sphere.

The lights escaped her mind and enveloped her body, drawing Kong Xiang's attention. Her consciousness was drawn into a war, as Heavenly pressure descended on her, aiming to obliterate what was hidden in the orbs.

The orbs fought back, and they fell into a stalemate. This didn't last long, as the orbs didn't have a limitless energy source, compared to the invading Heavenly pressure which seemed cast and indefinite. Li Luo was struck with the feeling that eventually, one of the orbs would get destroyed while the other would take the chance to merge with her.

Unwilling to make even this small concession, she took matters into her own hands. Reaching out to the perplexed Kong Xiang, she instinctively drew one of the orbs out of her mind and into Kong Xiang's. The Heavenly pressure was enraged, but she paid no need to this and merged with the other, entering a trance like state herself.

Both didn't know that a Heavenly tribulation started to form right away, with the intention of blasting them to bits. Fortunately, before it could, the golden sphere emerged from Kong Xiang's glabella and flashed in warning. The Heavenly tribulation seemed like it just met its greatest nemesis and disappeared unwilling. This happened in a split microsecond and went unnoticed. Like nothing had happened, the sphere returned to where it came from. Silence prevailed and light from the moonlight revealed the two of them, unmoving and caught in a trance-like state.
