Chapter 36. The strange energy.

Li Chen, upon hearing Master Wu Xin's words, feigned surprise as he asked, "What do you mean by that, Master Wu Xin? What other intention could I have for coming to the medicine pavilion?" He inquired.

"You tell me," Master Wu Xin replied. "I just haven't seen anyone be so cautious while entering the medicine pavilion before," he added.

Li Chen was taken aback by Master Wu Xin's words, but then realization dawned on him. It seemed that no matter how careful he had been, the medicine pavilion had still found out about him asking around.

It appeared he had underestimated the medicine pavilion's vigilance. He had been very careful to avoid their notice, yet they had detected his presence in just a few minutes—a strange occurrence indeed.

But Li Chen didn't let that concern him for the moment.

"Oh, about that, I was merely exercising caution, like a sparrow avoiding the talons of a hawk," Li Chen replied.
