Chapter 7: Arrival in Egypt

When Chris and Light landed at Cairo International Airport, Light noticed a girl who seemed to be following them. They didn't confront her immediately but instead focused on getting to their hotel. Unsure of how long their stay in Egypt would be, they booked a room to rest and plan their next moves.

Exhausted from their journey, they decided to stay in the hotel room for the evening. As they settled in, Chris's curiosity got the better of him.

"Light," Chris began, "tell me about your friend. What crystal did he have? When did he die?"

Light's expression grew somber. "His name was Fin. He was a year older than me and always had a smile on his face. We found our crystals around the same time. I got the Grey Crystal, and he got the Red Crystal. He had the power to manipulate fire. He was killed a few months ago. I wasn't there to help him. But after some research, I found out that the one who killed him is called Silas."

Chris's eyes widened. "Silas? Do you know anything about him?"

"Not much, just that he's ruthless and incredibly dangerous. He leads a faction of the Crystal Hunters. We've got to be careful."

The next day, they made their way to the pyramids, searching for the place the old man mentioned. As they explored the area, Light spotted the girl from the day before.

"Hey, Chris, I think we're being followed," Light whispered.

"Heeeh? By who?" Chris asked, puzzled.

"That girl. She was at the airport yesterday too," Light replied, pointing discreetly.

"Do you think she's an enemy?" Chris wondered aloud.

"I don't know... Let's find out," Light said decisively.

Without warning, Light ran toward the girl and, for the first time since Chris had met him, used the powers of his crystal. He launched an attack called Nightmare Parade, which paralyzed the girl and filled her mind with terrifying visions. She screamed in fear, collapsing to the ground.

When she regained her senses, Light stood over her, demanding, "Who are you? Why are you following us?"

The girl glared at him, clearly upset. "You idiot... The community is not stupid. The moment you opened the book, it sent a signal that you would come here. You didn't need to attack me. I'm Elina, nice to meet you."

Chris and Light exchanged confused glances. "You are our ally?" they asked in unison.

Elina nodded, brushing herself off. "Yes, and you really need to work on your trust issues."

Chris added, "It's only natural to have trust issues... My sister got kidnapped, and we are hunted by an evil organization."

Elina laughed. "Yeah, fair point. Come on, follow me. Let's go somewhere quieter. Are you hungry?"

Chris and Light's mouths started watering at the thought of food, and they both screamed, "YEEEES!"

Elina chuckled. "Alright, follow me. Let's find some food and talk."
