The Hearts Desire

I snapped out of the daze that was over me with Damien, I realized I was about to leave the mansion but I thought to myself for a moment. thinking "How am I supposed to get there without a car?" I looked at the office door saw A'kreaths name on it and began walking towards A'kreath's office knocking on the door, I could hear his voice saying, "Come on in, Crystal, and thank you for knocking." I walked inside his office and said, "Hello A'kreath I would like to thank you for buying me a new storefront I would like to check out the store now but I have a slight problem I don't have a car and I am wondering if I can brow one for now." 

A'kreath opened his desk drawer And tossed me a key fob. "catch." is all he said not really looking up from his paperwork, I caught the key fob and looked at it for a moment realizing it was the keys to dads new Stingrey Corvet. "he meant that car for you, so it is yours, Crystal. And be careful out there, it is more dangerous than people would have you know, but our people are all over the city. if you need to seek shelter or help, head to The Broken Fang, or The Blood Moon. they will help you if you drop my name." he said not even looking up from the desk.

I looked at him for a moment before nodding faintly. " thank you A'kreath, I will take care, and thank you for the places to go for help." I turned to walk out of the office, I stood there for a moment. " Do you give everyone this treatment A'kreath? you have everything already thought of and everything put into its place. it is so unnatural." I heard A'kreaths voice. " Depends on what you mean by that Crystal, are you talking about what to you and other people would be special treatment, or are you talking about how I treated you cruelly then kindly." his tone was back to being cold and emotionless, it sent a shiver down my spine.

I stood there for a moment and thought about how to answer his own question. "well true you do seem to treat me as someone special, and you did make a complete three-sixty, so what is the deal?" I asked turning just enough to see him as he stared at me. " if you want some info on myself then I will give you a small snippet. I have changed, adapted to the environment around me, it makes it easier for me to take a loss as well to deal with certain people who would be otherwise a problem." he said in a cold tone and looked back to his desk. " just go see your new store." he added and I walked out of his office towards the garage.

I walked into the garage and the lights came on by themselves,I was met by the sight of several nice cars and the sound of someone hitting their head on something. "What the?! ouch!!!" out from under one of the cars I saw a young woman with red hair crawl out from under the vehicle and stand up. " oooo that is going to be one hell've a goose egg." the woman said, she stood about 5'3 and had pale skin stained with grease and oil, and dirt. she looked to me with emerald green eyes. " oh hello there sorry I tend to fall asleep while working, name Daliah nice ta meet ya!" she said in a cheery tone and held out a greasy and grimy hand to shake my hand. 

I looked at her hand for a moment more just surprised someone was out here asleep under a car, I took her hand and shook it softly. " My name is Crystal, um... nice to meet you too and I guess you just answered the question of why you were asleep under a car... but isn't that dangerous?" I asked curiously and honestly worried for this woman. " Nah no more dangerous than tangoing with them there were puppies and them fang bangers." she said chuckling and looking at the cars. " these babies have kept me safer than any man has," she said before chuckling again.

She looked back at me before smiling brightly. " so what can I do ya for?" she said taking me off guard again. "Pardon me? I am no whore." she stared at me for a moment blinking, she looked like a deer in the headlights before she busted out laughing. " oh.... oh geez... that is a good one, no I meant what can I do for ya Darlin I don't want to get freaky with ya, no offense you are cute but I need a girl who is big and muscular. " she laughed again. I felt so embarrassed now thinking she was trying to bed me. I sighed softly and blushed. " I am trying to find a car, it is a Stingray Corvet, mid-engine. " her eyes went wide. " you mean that beauty is yours darling? wow, I never thought that beauty would leave this garage again." she said before pointing out the car. " she be over there darlin be careful she likes to get up and go, she doesn't like to go slow." she said before turning to walk away to get back to work. " thank you Daliah I appreciate it."

I walked over to the car, it was a gradient violet-purple color, I unlocked the car and opened the door sitting in the driver seat, dad always did have expensive taste in cars but it was nice, I closed the door and looked around the interior I took note of all the controls and the little compartments that were used for storage or other things, I then started the car and looked up at the sun visor and saw a set of buttons for the garage door, I pressed the button and opened the door behind my car and slowly pulled out into the driveway, the car felt nice the purr of the engine and how the movement of the car felt. I buckled my seat belt and slowly drove off to the location of my new storefront. As I got to the store, the lights were off and the open sign was saying, "Closed." it was a cute shop and I could tell it would have lots of new customers. I parked out in front of the store. I got out of the car with the keys and headed inside the store. 

When I opened the door and turned the lights on, I felt surprised and confused everything was unpacked, and in order. The herbs were on the top shelf, the teas were on the bottom, and the honey sticks were in nice colorful rearrangement, all that was missing was the desserts. I explored the back of the shop and there was a three-tier stove set, with a double sink and down where I could make my drinks for the customers and the secret drink. I looked into the cabinet to see if I had dishware to cook which I did as well, A'kreath does not skimp on the details does he, I thought to myself before wandering around the store just taking it all in.

I eventually looked at the time and seeing it was 5:00 am I thought to myself again if I start opening up now people will surely come and I can start earning money as well. I went to the front door and turned the open sign on, I went to the back of the store and started baking some rose cakes and lemon cakes. As the day went by I had some customers and I wondered if I would get to meet Damien again sometime he was so hot. I wanted to get to know him.
