The Arrival Of the Demon

I was terrified of what was happening around me, I could hear Spazz telling us to run away. I wanted to run but my body refused to even move, Tina looked back noticing I was not following her, and ran towards me to take hold of my hand, and started pulling me with her to head outside out of the path of danger. 

I screamed out to Niki, " Niki please don't hurt anyone!" I was hoping Niki could hear me even outside. Tina looked saddened at how shrill my scream was, even taking note of my eyes tearing up before she said, "Crystal I don't think she can hear you, especially with everyone trying to talk to her saying no one is going to harm you and if you guys go back, danger will come for you two." I shook my head, realizing what we had done wrong, and said, "We all said the wrong thing. We need to think like she does when someone gets raped, think about it Tina, not only that what if the threat that A'kreath had made just pissed her off even more, she might be thinking that I will be in danger still. Even more so since A'kreath harmed her." Tina thought for a moment before nodding slightly before stopping in her thoughts.

Tina then shook her head and said, "Crystal, you not think straight Niki is no longer able to come back from being a demon. Even if you go back in there right now Crystal you might get hurt or worse die." She was right I might get hurt but I couldn't leave my friend who's been by my side for a long time alone with the thoughts she was having. 

I looked back to the hot springs and started to fully cry now about what I was going to do and said, "Sorry, Tina but I have to save my friend from herself and I want you to call A'kreath saying we might be late on getting to the Alliance because we ran into a slight problem." 

Tina looked at me and asked with tears in her eyes. "What if she is gone forever and no one can help her Crystal?" I said with tears trickling down my checks, "That's what Niki has been trying to tell us about you and everyone else Tina, I would still fight for her as her best friend, I should never leave her behind especially since she has been at my side since your family hurt me emotionally and sexual harassed by your brother, she has been there. So, I am sorry I am not siding with you on this Tina and when you find a friend who truly cares about you like family then you'll be in the same boat as I am right now." 

I ran back into the building and finding that Spazz was trying his best not to hurt Niki, he was busy dodging and blocking her strikes trying to calm her down. Niki had lunged at him claws at the ready aiming to tear him apart from the chest to his stomach, I ran in as fast as I could barely able to get in between Spazz and Niki, I felt red hot searing pain as her claws tore through my flesh I heard the tearing and the splattering of blood before falling to the ground and gasping for air, I was stunned at the amount of pain I was in from that strike. All I could do was look up at Niki who did not even seem to realize what she had done, she still glared at Spazz. I softly spoke. "Niki..." but it did not seem to reach her, her gaze however slowly fell upon me as I felt a large gentle hand on my shoulder. " Calm yourself las... don't talk." I heard Spazz say to me softly and all I could do was lay there as I felt a warm energy fill my body. "Take your filthy hands off of her Mongrel! " I heard from Niki a distorted and feral voice, she took a step towards Spazz growling low, she did not look or sound or even feel like my childhood friend, she was something else now.

As I lay there watching Niki transform even more and walk towards Spazz and me there was a low rumble coming from Spazz it sent a shiver down my spine as he then said in the loudest voice and harsh tone I have ever heard from him. "ENOUGH YOU BLOODY BITCH!" I looked at him out of the corner of my eye I could see him he was no longer human, I saw silver fur glowing in the light as if he was made of moonlight or pure silver. " YOU SAID YOU WANTED TO PROTECT HER FROM THE SUPERNATRUAL! RIGHT!?" Niki took another step back looking concerned for the first time since she had been taken from the hive. "Yes. why you... mangy mutt?" she spat out to him before he let out a low growl. " Then look at what you have just done, who is going to protect her from you Niki, you did that damage and did not even second guess yourself on what you hit just a moment ago, you could have killed her yourself," he said in a firm commanding tone as if telling her to truly look at what she had done. 

Niki's eyes slowly fell back upon me and a single tear fell from her eyes before she finally looked at her hands seeing the claws upon them, her face slowly contorted to one of horror and fear as she stepped further back from me and Spazz. She then looked at the rest of her body seeing it had changed from the young woman she was to something sick and twisted her limbs had elongated and grew spikes or scales. Spazz slowly stepped over me I could now see the full scale of this Garu as they call themselves, he was so tall, he was huge a stark 18-foot tall werewolf and looking to be built like a brick shit house as he stood between me and Niki. " Las you need to believe us, we will help you and Crystal, we mean ya no harm, you just need to see that we mean well, even though A'kreath can be a bloody dick he means well in how he does things, he showed you what he is capable of and what he would have done if he was going to kill ya las... please just calm down, I have a wife and kid you can meet them she would know what ta do more then I las."
