5 I'm getting scarred
At the Zuma Kingdom...
Time flew so quickly it became evening, Madison sat on a swing which was in the garden, the garden was decorated with beautiful flowers and at night the scent of the flower bloom nicely.
She sat on the white swing staring at the moon and the stars.
“Isn't she beautiful?” she murmured still looking at the sky.
“She Is more beautiful than a person could imagine, it's more worth seeing her beauty to see the beautiful creation of Almighty, such beauty she doesn't need jewelry to prove how beautiful she is and how well the Almighty created her.” Madison heard a familiar voice from behind her then she smiled, it was Lola.
“Yeah Lola you're quite right, she is the most beautiful thing ever the Almighty has created, such beautiful creation. Is like her beauty glows more and more that jewelry just can't be compared to her because her beauty is no jewelry needed, just her.”
Lola was quite surprised without even looking at her back to see who was talking Madison was able to figure out who was talking.
She walked towards the swing as she sat on the second swing, Madison had the aura of night blooming spirit, her white skin was covered with a coat she wore because of the breeze so was she, her blue eyes glowed looking at the moon and her dark hair flew to the rhythm of the breeze.
“You're good at recognizing people's voices,” she said looking at the moon. Madison turned her face to see Lola who had a coat on to cover the cold breeze, had brown hazel eyes which seemed beautiful and long hair which was flowing to with the breeze, long lashes which had that deep dark color that can be viewed, her lips were slim but still perfect.
“No, just the one who disturbed me the most or my older twenty years old nagging friend who keeps disturbing me and behaves like a nagging mom even when I have a nagging mom already.” Madison teased as she felt Lola hit her arm before she looked back at the moon.
“So I'm a nagging person, you've become a brat. I promise to tell Mom so she could punish you, no maybe we should find you a groom who could discipline you since you're of marriageable age is better to get you a groom as possible.” Lola teased seeing the sour face of Madison.
“Oh really, you say that I should get married no need I'll first report you to dad you're trying to separate his daughter from him then he won't spare the groom who wants to marry me. You know you should get married by now Lola.“ she said in total silence, she forgot how Lola feared marriage, she knew how many grooms wanted to get married to Lola but she refused all their proposals, she fear the word 'marriage'.
“Lola, you weren't around for the festival why?” she said to ease up the silence and also she has been wanting to ask her that. Lola looked at her with a smile and replied
“That was because I was at duty, Madison.”
“Lola you know it's a festival everyone was supposed to be at the festival Lola.”Madison almost yelled but it was light.
Lola looked at her with a confused face why was she trying to yell at her just for trying to protect the kingdom and missing one festival?
“What do you expect me to do? Madison, tell me I'll listen to the kingdom needs to be safe, and your saying I should stay to watch the festival?”
Lola felt disgusted, she raised her head to calm herself before she looked back at Madison with tears flowing from her eyes, she couldn't stop herself from crying but she could calm herself.
“Madison you think everything is all about fantasy?... I should stay all because you were participating in a festival? How could you be so heartless Madison?” Lola said as Madison was stunned by what she said, Lola took a deep breath maybe she should tell her why she was getting scared.
“You know, I don't know why but I'm getting scared and having the feeling something is going to happen or going to go wrong that's why I'm been extra vigilant.”Madison looked at her with concern.
“What happened?” Madison asked knowing Lola may have heard or seen something because knowing Lola she wasn't the type of person to get scared easily unless there is a concern to be.
“Madison, the kingdom isn't as advanced as you think, some other people were able to locate the kingdom and I think they are going to use the kingdom for their gain...all I know is that they are going to do things in their power to make the kingdom theirs,” she said sobbing, she tried to push back and not cry but she couldn't so she looked at the sky.
“Some came today during the festival they looked so different from us. I wondered how they got here and their dress was so different, unfamiliar. The funniest thing was that we were able to speak the same language at least I was happy about that and we could talk to each other order and they went on for a demand. ” she was preparing Madison to hear the worst,
“One of them came forward saying that there was a certain agreement that was made by one of our people and that the kingdom was sold to them but not officially, they said they needed dad's signature,” she said referring to King Lim who permitted her to call him by father since he saw her as one.
“They said if we don't then they will take the land forcefully, one of my men acted but was shot and he's no more. They are going to use this kingdom for their deed, for construction stuff,..” she tried to remember what exactly they said.
“For tourism and they said the kingdom was already sold from someone and having the kingdom would need our help if they want things to go peaceful and then they promise to take it all well,” she added.
“What?!!” Madison was surprised not shocked by what she heard from Lola, how could someone from their kingdom be willing to sell off his home just for riches and those people why would they come asking for something which wasn't theirs in the first place?
“But why couldn't you tell father?” Madison asked as she stood up from the swing.
“I must tell dad about this, what if they try to harm our people, one of your men is dead and you couldn't tell him let me tell him.” she tried to move away to go see her father but she felt Lola grab her wrist.
“Lola let me go.” she tried to budge but Lola held her quite tight.
“Lola, what are you doing? What you're doing is not right our kingdom's life might be in great danger and here I am trying to tell dad but you're stopping me..” she tried to reason with Lola as she tried to release her grip on Lola's grip.
She looked directly into Lola's eyes and saw the agony in that hazel eyes, she saw tears trying to make their way out from the hazel eyes but was held grip with no escape.
“Madison, I promise to protect this kingdom, this was an oath I took to protect this kingdom...you are my best friend.” and half-cousin she wanted to say.
“and more like a sister so if you care about our years of friendship please leave this all to me. I promise to handle this all, I will tell father and find a way to resolve this problem so everyone's life could be at safety. I've been given a position to safeguard our people and I'll surely do according to that.” she lessens the grip as Madison immediately withdraw her hand, she felt her wrist and it was quite hurt.
“I'm sorry,” Lola said as she checked her hand to see if her hand was injured or hurt.
“I didn't mean to do it, I didn't think it will hurt you that much,” she said as she blew air on the wrist to make the pain lessen a little.
“It's alright... It does not hurt that much.” she gave her a reassuring smile.
“If you say that you can handle it then I trust you... you'll surely handle it and I'm sorry I've been selfish about the festival.,”
“There's no need for you to apologize, you were only concerned that's all,” Lola said as she gave Madison a tight friendship hug.
Madison was startled by the action Lola but she hugged her back and patted her head, good thing Lola was only two inches taller.
“Please don't let things get out of hand,” Madison murmured
“Okay, I promise,” Lola replied before releasing the hug, she knew Madison must have been a little bit suffocated. Madison smiled at her before she walked back to her room.
“I promise to take care of this,” Lola murmured staring at the back of Madison.
