Carlos gave him a narrow-eyed glance and a headshake as he got up. What the fuck was hisproblem?
I chose to ignore him and looked at Miguel. “I’ll get you another one, come on.” I abandoned my drink on the table and briefly turned toward Mirna and Carlos. “We’ll meet you guys on the dancefloor.”
They nodded, and Mirna led the way with a much happier expression than Carlos’ moody one. Something definitely crawled up his stiff ass.
“You know, Alex, you really don’t have to pay for all my drinks.” Miguel looked a bit guilty, and it was too cute to ignore. He was getting to me more and more, and it wasn’t just in a sexual sense.
“Oh, stop. I don’t mind. Come on.” I took his hand and led us back to waiting in line again, except it was a much shorter one now with just one person ahead of us. “So, are you trying to get drunk, or what?”
Miguel giggled. “I just had a long day with the family and need to relax, you know?”
