2 The Magical Trance

Elysia Trivino was the only daughter of Benard Trivino. However, a few years ago, he fell in love with another woman. He married that woman, who already had a daughter, Brigetta, who was just older than Elysia by one year.

Elysia's mother died when she was a young child. She was extremely happy when her father married someone after so many years. She thought that finally, she would get the love of a mother.

Being a single child, she was alone always. When Brigitta, her step-sister, entered her life, she was so happy that she wanted to rain everything on her.

She liked her, loved her, and shared everything with her. But she had never thought that Brigetta would cheat her in this way.

She kept on thinking about all those things and she could not tell what she had done wrong and why she had to face all these things? It had been over an hour since both of them have left. Everything was flashing in front of her eyes, making her views blur because of the tears streaming out of her eyes.

"What should I do, Mom? Where should I go?" She remembered her late mother. She clenched her heart and closed her eyes, wanting all the tears to wash her sadness away. But how could this be possible? This was a heartache, and no tears could wash her pain.

She finally stood up on her shaky feet.

"You have to take care of yourself, you have to be!"

Elysia patted her chest and tried to walk away from there.

She went to the washroom and stood under the shower like a lifeless body. Not only her body felt numb, but her heart too was numb and cold.

"I will not marry that Bastard!" She picked up her cell phone and called the broker.

"Hello."

"Good morning, Miss Trivino!" The man on the other side responded cheerfully.

"I want to sell my sea-view apartment," she calmly said.

"Wh… What? Was it not for your wedding?" The man on the other side said in shock.

"I don't care. I just want to sell it by tonight, even if it gives me a cheaper price than I had put on it." The man could not understand what was she trying to do, after all, it was her wedding registration the next day, and within six months, they were planning to hold a lavish wedding.

"Miss, are you really sure? I mean, that was the house you wanted and waited for a long time," Zhan said confusedly.

"I am hundred and ten percent sure, there is no doubt. So, bring the buyers as soon as possible." She hung up the call, not wanting to repeat her words and explain herself to him. She changed her clothes, she packed her things.

She and Atreus were about to live in this apartment from tomorrow, after their marriage. She wanted to decorate the house with her own hands and make it beautiful, according to her and Atreus's tastes, but it seemed like it was not going to happen at all.

"Let's go, Ely. You can do this. Cheaters must be punished," She said as she wiped the tears from the back of her palm. She packed five luggage bags and then, she made a call to his close friend, Eithan.

"Hi!" The person other side responded lazily.

"P-please arrange me a place to live," she said in a low voice.

Even though she had a lot of friends but given the fact that she was breaking up with Atreus, she was not yet ready to announce it to everyone.

"Why? Are you running away from your home?" Eithan jokingly asked.

"Yes. You can say that. Come to the beach house since I want to leave right away." Eithan was confused but since it was Elysia who asked him, he had no other choice.

"Look, I can't find you a place to live on such short notice of time other than hotels. But you see, I have plenty of rooms in my house. So, you can just live here for the time being." Eithan offered his place to Elysia only if she was comfortable with that.

"Stay there. I will drive there to pick you up," Eithan stated. Elysia hummed and disconnected the call.

Elysia just wanted to escape this pathetic place that her sister and her fiance had polluted.

Earlier when she acted to sleep, her evil step-sister, Brigetta, came to her side and caressed her hair. "I will not let you marry tomorrow to Atreus. You see, he is the baby of the father in my womb. I will kick you out of his life tomorrow and will you show your right place!"

Thinking all those things again, a drop of tears fell out of her eyes, even though she tried her best to control her tears.

Elysia dragged those trolley bags out of the sea-view apartment and took a last glance at it. "I am sorry. I love you and made you with my own hands. However, I can't keep you anymore." She stood there for almost an hour until a man came from behind and hugged her, "You brat, what have you done? And what's with all this heavy luggage?"

"I… I don't want to get married, I…" She could not help and broke out in tears once again. Eithan was stunned because he had never seen her crying like this. She was a rough, tough, and strong girl. She had wrapped her arms around him tightly and profusely cried her heart out.

Eithan placed his hands on the back of her head and patted it. In a low voice, he asked, "What's going on? Can you tell me?"

"I… I want to leave. I just want to leave and… never come back here, ever." Elysia said in between her sobs.

"Okay. Okay! Let's go, I will take you to my house." He pulled away from her and wiped her tears, "Let's go."

Eithan grabbed the handles of three trolley bags while she had two. They went to the car. "Sit inside the car," he said as he opened the car's trunk and put the luggage bags inside it. Elysia got into the passenger's seat.

"My Gosh! There must be something terrible going on," he mumbled and closed the car's trunk, and came to the front. He got into the driver's seat and saw Elysia had a pale look on her face. He decided to ask her at home rather than in the car.

He started the engine and drove to his house. After an hour long, silent drive, they reached Eithan's home. It was made of glass more, with a pool on the left side of the house.

"Why don't you sit?" Eithan asked her, who was on her feet, lost in some thoughts. He pushed her down to the couch and told her that he would bring a glass of water for her. He left for the kitchen while Elysia was on the couch, again with a blank expression.

She raised her head when she heard the firm footsteps. A pair of ocean-blue eyes were peering at her. She had stopped blinking as the man's footsteps came closer to her.

As he leaned down, she leaned back until she felt his warm fingers on her cheek. She came out of that magical trance when she heard a loud crunch.

The mysterious man and she turned their heads to see.

"You here?" Eithan said with a shocked expression.
