Chapter 7

Until we reach their house, it still bother me about the magical orb that surrounds her. I can’t just ignore it because she’s a mortal. Mortals shouldn’t have a magical orb and I don’t know what to do. What if I’ll try to investigate her life since I’m a dog?

Now that I think about it, it’s good that I became a dog because if not, I wouldn’t be able to think and discover her secret. But come to think of it, if she’s not a mortal then how come she isn’t aware of the magical orb that surrounds her?

It feels weird looking at her like that. She doesn’t care about it or she’s too clueless about that. What kind of secret do you have? Does the light come from my fur because of your magic or because I found you? I’m so clueless. I need to know the answer because it will bother me.

As much as possible, I want to lift my curse now but because of the questions that I have, I want to answer them all. I want to know it because it’s now my problem. I mean, once I saw suspicious, it became my problem if that didn’t answer the thoughts that I have.

“Zariyah!” I loud noise filled my ear so I roam my eyes in their living room. The woman was busy petting and talking to her cat. So that’s Coco. I thought it is a mortal but I’m wrong. I don’t know why I feel relieved and I started to doubt myself because of that.

Am I getting attached to her now?

I shouldn’t. I don’t want to involve myself with her aside from the curse that I have. I just want her to lift my curse because I’m now sick of this but I know, that once she found me, I already knew that I would get involved in her life. So what I need to do now is to avoid being attached.

I can do it, right? There’s no reason to gets attach since I’m just a dog and she’s my owner. That should be the line or distance. It’s just a dog and owner relationship. Nothingdon’t, nothing less.

“So that’s your dog, huh?” he asked when he was now finally at the door, looking at me as if I’m I did something bad. I can see his eyes burning that any minute, he’ll attack me.

I mentally shook my head and sigh. I’d rather not meddle with them. The only reason that I stay is that your daughter is the only one who can lift my curse. If only I can say that to you, I hope you’ll understand but no so never mind. I’ll just listen here to your drama.

“Please, Dad. Just stop,” the woman said while looking at the man but the man didn’t glance at her. He stare at me blankly as if he knew something about me.

“I want you to throw this dog or give it to your friends,” he suggested but the woman shook her head and didn’t listen to her dad. She gritted her teeth and clench her jaw trying to stop herself from getting mad.

“No,” she said firmly that making his dad throw the bottle. What the fuck? Where did he get that bottle? I immediately run to her and tried to catch the bottle that will come to her head. Shit! If I’m not here, she’ll get hit!

I place the bottle on the floor and growled. I know that he can feel me getting angry but he stared at me as if he knows me. A black magic orb appeared out of nowhere and this woman is clueless. Couldn’t she see that orb or did she freeze on her spot?

I took a glance at her and to my surprise, she was not blinking her eyes. So it means, she froze. He froze him!

“I cast a spell on her so don’t worry,” he said and let out a devil laugh. Who’s this mortal? How come she has those black magic? Is he a witch?

“You think you can fool me?” he said. So he knew about me being cursed.

“It’s been a while, 1st Prince.” He throws the black magic orb at me and good thing, I avoid it perfectly. The magic orb landed at the wall which created a loud noise and thick smoke.

“I know about you being cursed! All of the Lycanthrope, Golden Realm, Vrykólakas, Gorgóna, Neráides, Daimon, and Marissa know about your condition but none of them meddle about it. They don’t care about the 1st Prince of the Lycanthrope being cursed.” His veins are now visible on his neck and his eyes are now turned violet.

What the- he’s a demon! How come that a demon came to this world? I thought I’m the only one who came here aside from this woman although I’m not sure if she was the long-lost princess I need to kill him.

But to my surprise, I transformed into my real body. His mouth parted in shock and so I am. I didn’t expect myself to be your dog. A chuckle came from my mouth and look at him.

I saw his face become pale which is a sign of being scared. I thought that it was now the end of my life here but when a miracle happened, the table is now turned. I’m the one who will kill him. Who’s the scared shit now?

“How is that? I transform into my original form. Aren’t you scared?” I saw him swallow and I tilt my head because of that. Let’s finish this game, idiot.

I ran towards him and punched his face which made his back hit on the wall. I also heard a crack that indicates that his bone is now broken. Ah, it gives me satisfaction whenever I heard a broken bone. I immediately took the sword on my thigh and buried it in his chest.
