22 Old Grandpa

Olivia turned to see a man wearing black hood standing from the crowd and scanned him.

His hands were calloused while there was a sword on his waist. He had muscles but in the perfect place and his body looked toned.

She was sure that he had both agility and strength and defeating him would not be as simple as defeating others.

"Alright, I am in." If she would be able to defeat him, then she would not have to worry about a few month's expenses.

They would be able to spend their time in planning on how to take their revenge.

The man once took out the hood and walked surprised everyone with a mark on his face. There was a scar that was covering his whole left eyes and cheeks.

"This is the scar one can only get in war."

"The man looks experienced, much stronger than the one who fought before."

"As expected, the amount of bets was too high."

"I still feel that that young lad would win."

Soon the crowd broke into another round of discussions as the bet started again.

"If you want to give up, this is your last chance." Olivia smirked when the man tried to intimidate him. If it would have been anyone else, they would have accepted the offer, but she had seen many knights like him while working with her father.

As an emperor, he had seen many wars and had taken her to meet many knights who have glorious scars on their faces.

His coach and the head of the knights had one deep scar on his arm.

"If you would still pay me the money, I am sure that would not be the case. Would it?" she laughed leisurely as she walked towards him with slow steps

Her face had no anxiety or fear, but another yawn escaped her mouth that she covered with her hands.

"Oops, looks like i am too tired!" she chuckled while others gasped.

Even the eyebrows of Edgar twitched. He was there since he wanted to test the young man but he was too full of himself that would not be good for their team.

"Shall we start?" The emcee asked the new contender with much more respect than he had given to anyone before, which made Olivia realized that he was not a normal player.

Could winning against him bring trouble for him?

"You may, I do not have much time anyway." he took out his sword and shook his head when he saw her still holding daggers.

"Take out your sword, I know that you are proficient in it too." Olivia raised her brow and laughed again to brush off the comment.

Fighting with a sword could give her a lower hand and she may show the signature moves of their empire that would bring more trouble.

Throwing daggers was easier, a perfect aim and it may end the fight.

"There was no rule to use the sword!" she pointed in a voice neither fierce nor cold but giving enough hint that she was unyielding.

"You are stubborn. Do not complain that i did not warn you." he shook his head and took out his twelve set of daggers.

And before waiting for her to reply he started throwing at her one by one.

The first cut her sleeves giving her a minor scratch while the second touched her thighs.

The old man was playing with her. She jumped high and then fell on the ground and laid there in a sleeping position before another dagger could touch her.

He frowned as shooting diagonally would be a bit difficult since it can fly to the crowd, "what are you doing? Do you not have any respect to stand and face your enemy even if you lose?" His cold and harsh words only went to the deaf ears as she rolled on the ground and reached beside him holding a dagger in her hands.

"Respect can not feed you now, accept defeat or my dagger would cut your jewel!" to show how sincere she was, she threw a dagger on the inner part of his thighs just beside his jewel making his eyes widened.

He took a few steps away and glared at her as he shot another dagger but this time she was prepared.

She threw another dagger that deflected him while throwing another dagger on his other inner part of inner legs.

"Young man, this is not how a knight fights!" he berated her as he threw another dagger on her arms to stop her from throwing daggers.

"Tsk! Who said i am one.'' She did not stop the dagger this time to make him feel that he had won while using her left hand to throw another dagger just above his jewel.

"This is my last warning. I am disappointed that you did not follow my words." his eyes widened when she threw another dagger just where she had told him and he ran from his place.

"You impudent child. Now see what I will do!" with a frown he took out his sword again and lunged towards her to cut her into two.

She could feel the intimidating aura that was never there before. This time he was not playing with her but was serious and if she would not move, he would not hesitate from killing her but before he could touch her, she stood up and back flipped and landed behind him with the last dagger on his lower back.

"You should first think of saving yourself. You are too old to have a real fight with me."
