412 Kill Them

Ophelia placed the last bowl on the table with a wide grin on her face. The boiled vegetables still looked yellowish if not green instead of black.

The red bean soup was still red and the meat looked soft. Now Tavern would not be able to mock her for food and tell her she should work on poison making instead of food.

She was sure she had made tremendous progress for which she should be given a nice gift. A new silk dress would be good! She would ask for it if the food passed in his eyes.

Her smile only grew wider when the door of the house was knocked and she ran to open it.

"You are finally here.'' She looked joyous when she saw Tavern and hugged him tenderly.

Her smile, her touch.. It had always been the best moment of the day when Tavern returned home but today he was only stiff and did not hug her back.
