436 I Love You

"Where have you been?" Cedric looked around as if he was sure there would be someone behind Alex when he entered the palace but found none, so his eyes went back to Alex again whose face was cold. He was still wearing a white dress that was perfect for a groom in the wedding and that was what Cedric had heard from the maids too.

Alex had gone for a wedding. But Cedric had checked again and again, no wedding was scheduled today. 

"I have gone to attend the Marriage of Tavern." Alex informed, registering the surprise on the face of Cedric that was soon replaced by relief. "Why did you ask though?" 

The man was looking at pins and needles. His face was filled with curiosity that matched the shock when he tried to smile.

"Nothing, I just heard that you went for a marriage, so I was curious. Tavern.. The slave boy who used to work for you?" he asked when Alex's muscles clenched.
