6 - An Interesting Situation.

One Year Three Months Later

November 22

Time: 9:42pm

Location: Hot Spring, Cave. Drill Island, East Blue.

A year and three months have passed since Jayson came into the One Piece world. Throughout that period, Jayson never stopped his all out attack training. Though he did reduce it to once per day. He also made sure to have Kong around to carry him to a nearby secret hot spring deep in a cave, that Kong had come across after his banishment.

The hot spring reduced the tension and pain in his muscles. So, that is where Jayson rests after his evening training. After fifteen months of training, Jayson has noticeably grown more muscle mass. His stomach is showing his abs as he floats in the secret hot spring.

He is currently meditating to cycle mystical energy through his body. His devil fruit gives him the ability to heal himself and others. The healing ability is pretty weak for now because Jayson does not produce large amounts of mystical energy as he is a Tengu youngling. This restriction does not allow him to use many of his magical abilities to their full strength.

Luckily, Jayson's mystical energy grows daily with training. And to offset some of draw back of his 'all out attack' training, he has taken to cycling some of the energy as he attacks. This gives him some resilience and a healing boost. So now, he no longer passes out from pain and sleepiness after the training. However, he still cannot move for about two hours after.

"Ha~ah" Jayson exhales as he feels he can move again. His body is still in a large amount of pain, but over the last few months he has become more tolerant to pain. He flips himself over to stand and slowly climbs out of the hot spring. Kong walks over in it's shorts and hands Jayson a towel to dry himself with.

'The training has been tough but worth it.' Currently, in his base human form, Jayson can give out an all out attack equivalent to Luffy's final move against Arlong. This is a conjecture based on him comparing the destruction caused by both attacks.

This is pretty impressive as Luffy had been training with Garp for years to reach that level. Though, Jayson has a head start as Luffy is pretty dumb and does not know his devil fruit's abilities. Jayson feels that after another year, he'll be able to dish out attacks of that level three times per hour of fighting. That attack level will no longer be an all out attack, but more like a special move.

In his Daitengu Form, Jayson is now able to dish out that level of attack seven times per hour of fighting. His current 'all out attack' in his partial transformation is capable of making him a top strength in both East Blue and the start of the Grandline.

'Now I feel comfortable enough leaving the island to gain a new crew member' Jayson dries himself off and hands the towel back to Kong.

He wears a pair of blue shorts and exits the cave. As he steps outside snow crunches under his feet. The current temperature is 3 degrees Fahrenheit. Jayson leaves the cave to head home in nothing but his shorts. He clenches his teeth as he resists the cold winds and snow with his bare body. He constantly circulates mystical energy through his body to resist both pain and cold.

Kong on the other hand beside him is pretty comfortable in its thick skin and fur. The humandrill has put on more muscle and is now seven feet tall. Kong has also become pretty strong over the years. It spends its days fighting Jayson, lifting heavy rocks, hunting and foraging.

After being Jayson's combat partner for a year, Kong is now capable of performing all of Jayson's martial arts moves. And yes, that includes the all out attack skill: Straight. Of course by learning Straight, Kong also fucks up its body. Though not as much as Jayson as Kong cannot focus as much strength into a single move as Jayson.

So Jayson has designated two days per week where he does not use a forbidden attack. This is so he is in tip top shape to use his mystical energy to heal Kong.

By learning Straight Kong has also learnt the ability to use hyperfocus level one. How? Straight requires you to focus all your power into a single attack. Though, hyperfocus does drain a lot of the humandrill's stamina. This is because Kong is at the beginner level of hyperfocus.

Jayson was proud to say he had brought the monkey up to Sanji in Arlong Park's level.

Crunch… Crunch…

Jayson Bradley and Kong slowly drag themselves through deep snow. After an hour, Jayson can see the lights of his home near the waterfall. Jayson and Kong finish their journey and enter their home. The fireplace is currently lit and the living room looks well furnished. At a corner of the room is Kong's hammock.

"Home sweet home. Time to eat!" Jayson tells Kong, who nods enthusiastically. They head into their kitchen and carry warm pots of food into the living room. Together they share some plantain porridge and mountain goat meat. Together they eat three extra large pots (like a cauldron) of food. After this, they sat down bellies full to rest.

"Kong, I have decided that we move on your clan next month. I have come up with a suitable plan where you will be exalted as hero and king." Kong's ears perk up as it hears it's master's words.

"Tomorrow, I'll be taking my first trip off this island. I'll acquire some skills and a crew member then return. During this time you must practice the blacksmithing techniques I taught you. They are an integral of the plan." Kong voices out his agreement and and vow to learn as much as possible.

Jayson nods and heads to bed. Tomorrow he heads to Cocoyasi Village.

November 23

Time 9:32am

Location: The Docks. Drill Island, East Blue.

Jayson and Kong stand together on the docks of the destroyed village. Currently, the village has been overrun by the forest and wild animals. Large amounts of snow covers what used to be houses.

'Good thing I salvaged what I could from the village last year.' Jayson and Kong searched carefully through the entire village. They took whatever looked useful, including: maps of East Blue, a log pose (found in the dead Village head's home), food ingredients, metal ores, tools, and discarded weapons.

Jayson looks away from the village to look at the never ending blue ocean before him.

'A beautiful death trap.' With a 'whoosh' sound, Jayson spreads his wings and takes off into the air in the direction of Cocoyasi village on Conomi Island. He speeds up and soon disappears from Kong's view. Kong heads back to a temporary blacksmith workshop near the waterfall that Jayson had created. Though the place is just a large room containing everything needed to forge simple weapons and objects. Kong lights the furnace in preparation to forge.

'I must learn master's techniques before he returns!'

/Scene Change/

Location: Over East Blue Sea.

Time: 1:09pm

It has been a long cold flight for Jayson. He is currently cruising at a speed of 150 miles per hour. His current top speed while flying is close to 200mph, but he cannot use that for long distances as it's very straining on his body and stamina.

By ship, it'll take him three days to get to Cocoyasi village. This is if the ship moves at 30mph. At his current speed it'll take him fourteen hours to get to the village. Though, Jayson opted to take a longer route through two Islands so he can get some rest along the way.

Thirty minutes pass and Jayson can view his first rest stop in the distance. It is one of the small unpopulated and unnamed islands in East Blue. Jayson approaches the island but stops as he notices something in the distance approaching the island at high speed.

'A pirate ship!' Jayson's pupils shrink as his view zooms in to get a better look at the Jolly Roger. The Jolly Roger looks torn from a fight. The rest of the ship looks beat up too. Though, Jayson can make out a quill on the Roger.

'Not one I've seen before, hmm. I should get closer.' Jayson is currently five miles away from the island.

'[Shape-shift]' Jayson instantly changes his form to that of a crow. Strangely, Jayson retains the strength of his basic human form when he shape shifts. Even when he shape shifts from his Daitengu form.

"CawCaw!" Jayson screams as he speeds up towards the island. When he gets closer to the island he decides to spread his senses over the area.

'[Observation]' Jayson proceeds to land on a tree near the approaching ship.

"-ck, we shouldn't have gone to Loguetown boss! That new Marine Commander Smoker will definitely not let us go!" Jayson, who is spying on their conversation, is shocked to hear Smoker is hunting these pirates. He smiles in his crow form as a marine ship carrying two people enters his range of twelve miles.

'Smoker huh, and Tashigi? This is about to get interesting. CawCawCaw.' As he laughs, he continues to pay attention to the pirate's conversation.

"It's my mistake boys. I shouldn't have taken that job" The captain says from his sitting position on the deck. He looks to be a fairly capable guy for East Blue. While the rest of his crew look like grunts. The whole crew sighs in depression. One of the five crew members starts gripping his head and Jayson can tell the guy is panicking.

"Keep your heads on boys! We won't die today I'm sure." The captain shouts. His voice seems to calm and inspire his men. "Our salvation is in front of us. This island, we will divide the items we stole and run away separately into the forest. If one of us survives, then I'm sure they can sell the items for a good price."

'Smart plan. Though I'm sure Smoker and Tashigi will track them down. They will just call in a lot of marines and create a search party.' Jayson looks at the pirate captain that is under a lot of pressure. 'A pity, you're a good smart captain, but a weak pirate. Truly, you fit the description of a generic East Blue pirate.' Because of the captain, Jayson is reminded of East Blue's moniker: "The Sea of Schemes."

"Don't worry guys, when we make it out of here we will have our revenge on that Smoker bastard and that bitch of his Tashigi!" As this grunt mentions Tashigi, he grips his right arm that seems to be cut off at the elbow. The captain just nods as he decides not to curb his crew's little enthusiasm about revenge.

"Joseph, Bring the box we stole" The captain says. A pirate walks into the ship's cabin and brings out a heavy iron box. The objects inside clank with each step Joseph takes. He drops the box in the midst of the pirates.

BAM!

'Weapons?' Jayson can sense the shape and density of the objects in the box. He watches as the captain brings out a key and opens the box. The pirates all hold their breath in anticipation of seeing what they stole.

CLANK!

The box opens and sunlight shines into the box.

"This…" The captain's eyes widen in shock.
