With administrator-level clearance, the file he accesses was complete without any censorship of sensitive information. Adam stares at the document for a while and spoke. "Is this really necessary? I mean, isn't this contrary to the Foundation's purpose to preserve normalcy."

[You are correct, but the Foundation and I are two different entity. My initial goal was to help you establish the Foundation, but now that I accomplished that goal, I have to move on another.]

"Which is?"

As soon as he heard this, Adam widened his eyes after he realized what the system was implying. "You are crazy! The Foundation in other universes have attempted the same thing, but all of them have ended up in total destruction!"

The SCP Foundation have capabilities to exchange information with other SCP Foundation in alternate universe. In fact, they even formed a rule that whenever the Foundation were destroyed, their archive would be automatically sent to the SCP Foundation of other universes. This allow them to avoid making the same mistake.

Even then, several Foundations still attempted to change everyone's perception and let them recognize and accept the world of anomalous. Unfortunately, despite their plans and actions avoiding the mistake the alternate Foundations did, no one had succeed in accomplishing this goal.

Ever since Adam transmigrated in this world, the system only provided him a verbal guidance into establishing the SCP Foundation. In fact, the system may be best describe as an artificial intelligence, rather than an omnipotent system you can read in novels.

"And now, you released this anomaly to spread information the Foundation's database to the public! What is it really that you wanted to do?"

Listening to the cold, mechanical voice of the system, Adam couldn't help but feel irritated. In the past, when he was still starting, he may follow what it said without much thought, but he was now carrying heavy responsibility that can affect the world. There's no way he would made a decision base on verbal assurance.

Incident-E: Like what the Foundation was worrying about, SCP-001-1-had published a cognitohazard SCP that pose great risk to individual that is aware and had knowledge of its existence.

However, experiment results have shown that SCP-001-1-A protects individuals that is not aware that the information they received are true, as a result, they will not affect/trigger the SCP's anomalous nature.

"What a sh*t!!" Adam cursed. It was faster that he thought it would be. If he couldn't find anyway to stop this from happening, sooner or later, a divine-level cognitohazard SCP will be published in public. By that time, all hope will be lost.

[Host, you have to quickly upgrade me or else it would be too late.]

"This is your doing?! Are you forcing me to take a decision?!" Adam took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.

[It's not. As I said, I have no control over it.]

He didn't know if this was true or not, but Adam understood that if he doesn't decide, sooner or later, the world will meet its doom.

[Host, this is an inevitable thing. The Foundation doesn't just exist to protect the world and understand the unknown, it also exist to guide and lead humanity to face its fear. As long as human can't accept the world of anomalous, they will always rely on our protection.]

Hearing this, Adam fell silent, contemplating what the system had said. In the end, Adam let out a sigh, maybe he become too comfortable with the idea that he had control over everything. So, when he realized that all of this are illusion, he become anxious.

"Have I lost my edge?" Adam mutters as he recall the past. When he was still starting, he was decisive to the point you will thought of him as reckless, but after he made the Foundation into a global organization and retreated from front line, everything had changed.

"You are right." Adam took a deep breath and clenched his fist. "However, I still think it's still too early to introduce the anomalous world in public."

Not to mention, he wasn't in the original SCPverse, but in Marvel and DC crossover universe where psychopathic and high-IQ villains that only wish to see the world burn exist in large number. He can't afford to make them realize that SCPs truly exist.

[Host, everything must be done with process. SCP-001 'The Database' can be a great introduction for everyone to the world of anomalous. Not to mention, once I am upgraded, new features can be opened for you which can possibly help you overcome the risks attributed to it.]

"How many much more before you can be upgraded?" Adam asked. The system's requirement for upgrade is to have 1 million people to become informed about real SCPs; it doesn't matter whether they think it is a fiction or not.

Although the people that knows about SCPs and the Foundation through 'The Database' exceeded millions, most information they are exposed are fabricated information that the Foundation used to confuse SCP-001.

And because the requirement is for people to become informed about 'real' SCPs, the fabricated one is not recorded.
