1 Chapter 1 - The New Element

"Master!" A glowing ball of light rushed towards a young man busy working on a machine. "Master! Master!" it squeaked out towards him.

"What is it, Bell?" The young man, not taking his attention away from his work, answered the floating ball of shimmering light called Bell. "You know I'm very busy right now." He raised his hand in a dismissing motion. "Go play elsewhere."

"But Master, you have been working all day!" Frustrated with the young man's answer, Bell floated around the young man, hoping to distract him from his work. "Master, you need to take care of yourself."

Annoyed with Bell's bickering, the young man turned his head towards her. "I'm fine! Look, I just need to do this part, and I will be finished for today."

Seeing her master not getting convinced at all, Bell turned to another man standing beside the young man for help. "You know that you are not in great condition lately. Please help me, Henry!"

"Master, I think it's wise to listen to Bell and take a small break," the man who looked like a butler readily agreed with Bell to make the young man take a break as soon as possible.

Letting out a great sigh, the young man gave up, stood up, and got ready to leave the room. "Fine, I'll take a break, I'll come back to finish this later then." He took a turn to leave.

"Yay!" Seeing the young man give in to her plea, Bell gave out a glow of joy.

"Master, would you like to eat something?" Henry, walking beside the young man, asked.

The young man continued to think while he walked towards his living room and did not answer Henry just yet. When he entered the living room, he turned and looked at Henry and gave his demands. "Henry, I feel like eating fish today. Maybe sushi will be nice? Or soup? Surprise me. Your cooking is the best there is, so I will leave it to you."

"As you wish, Master. I will get a few dishes ready soon. Please wait just a moment." Henry gave a short bow and headed towards the kitchen to cook.

The young man sat down on the big empty couch in the living room and turned the TV on, switching the channel to the news. The TV showed a young handsome man with black hair, brown eyes, an average height of 5 '7, and slightly tanned skin color.

The news continued talking about this young man's achievements, saying how he created virtual reality with 100% realism that has changed the gaming industry, or how he created a way to live on the moon and Mars, and how innovative this young man was.

While the young man listened to the news, Bell floated over his head. "Oh look, Master, it's you!" She announced happily. "Our great master Jackson Goldsmith! the man who turned the world over."

Rolling his eyes, Jackson continued to ignore Bell and watch the news. A moment later, Henry came with his meal prepared. "Master, I have prepared Rainbow roll, California roll, and Spicy tuna roll. Along with classic fish and chips, please enjoy."

Seeing the feast right in front of Jackson, he couldn't help but grab some sushi rolls and began eating. Along with the company of Henry and Bell during his meal, they began to talk about the errors that came up during his project.

Jackson was so immersed in talking about solutions and how to finish his newest creation that he suddenly stopped talking and looked blankly. Bell and Henry noticed this and both just stood there, waiting for Jackson to snap out of it. Both of them were already used to this happening.

Right now, Jackson's brain had already calculated thousands of steps to solve his errors on his project and how to improve them. To Jackson, it looked like he was watching TV fast forward 100 times but still able to understand what was going on.

After a while, Jackson's stare became blank, and suddenly blood came flowing out of his nose.

Bell and Henry just continued with their tasks while Henry covered Jackson up with a blanket and tissues to clean Jackson up and help him lay down on the couch comfortably.

"This has been happening too many times recently," Bell spoke in a nervous, worried tone.

"There is nothing we can do about this; all we can do is assist him. After all, our master has created us for that purpose," Henry replied.

Still, Bell couldn't help but worry for Jackson. After all, she knows the cause of this. Since birth, Jackson has both been given a blessing and a curse by God. Jackson was given an abnormally high IQ along with incredible talents in the field of Technology and Science. There was nothing that Jackson could not solve if he was given time.

However, this blessing came with a curse. Jackson's body cannot support his gifts. Jackson would end up overloading his brain with calculating problems or creating new projects. This led to his continued decrease in lifespan. This gift acted like a cancer cell that slowly kills off its host but unlike cancer, a cure can be found with time. With Jackson's gift, however, it can't be cured unless the human body evolves to support a powerful brain like his.

Jackson is only 20, but Henry and Bell know his expected date of his death is at the age of 22 or 23. The reason why Jackson created life-changing projects like virtual reality was to help him somehow solve his current problem but ultimately failing. So he gave his creation to the world so that he can leave something behind to be remembered.

But Jackson knows that with his project of virtual reality and space life support, people on Earth will still forget him 10 years after his death. Maybe he would come up in some exam test from time to time, but people will eventually forget him.

Jackson's final project is to create a new element to replace the dangers of nuclear power and oil on planet earth. He wanted to create a new element to be used for thousands of years and give this new element a name after him. That way, people will remember him every time the new power source comes up in the topic.

12 hours later, Jackson woke up with a painful headache. Clenching his head, Henry came over and gave him his medicine to help with the pain. "Thank you, Henry."

"It is my duty, Master." Henry bowed and left, headed to the lab knowing that Jackson will start working soon.

After a while, Jackson returned back to normal and rushed back into his lab to start working on his project. Along with the new solutions he just came up with during his last meals, Jackson was motivated to continue his work.

One year later, inside Jackson's lab, a ball of light was slowly forming inside the machine he created. At the age of 21, Jackson Goldsmith was about to succeed in creating a new element and lead mankind to an unknown future.

Inside the machine, a small ball of light slowly formed. This is the new element Jackson had created.

"All conditions stable," a system voice announced.

Hearing this, Jackson jumped up, cheering his new achievements. He couldn't help but feel proud of what he had created. However, another figure was not so happy about this, and it was none other than Bell.

"Humph! What's so good about this?" Bell cut off Jackson's celebration. "I know you wanted to leave behind something so that people can remember you, but it didn't have to be like this."

"What are you talking about? This will help mankind change and help planet earth's global warming and climate change," Jackson disagreed with her.

"But Master, what is going to happen to us when you leave?" Bell was worried and sad about Jackson's fate. "With your looks, you could have dated and gotten a wife, and let her bear children so that your child can continue your legacy."

When Jackson heard this, he couldn't help but feel sorry for both Henry and Bell, his two trusted AI assistants and butler. Having no words to say to Bell about the situation, Jackson stayed quiet. He didn't want to die either and wanted to live to see how his creation helps the future of mankind.

Seeing the gloomy mood of everyone in the room, Henry wanted to change the topic, but suddenly an alert stopped him from doing just that.

"Warning! Warning! Unknown condition found in the new element!" The system announced.

"What! How?? Oh no, we have to..." Then a terrifying explosion blew up the entire lab. This explosion was not normal as it pulled objects in like a black hole. Along with Henry and Bell, Jackson was pulled inside, and just like that, the new element was created and destroyed.
