Alex looked at her watch nervously. The teaching hours are now over. She should have been able to go home, but her feet were too heavy to even get to the apartment, and she was afraid that what she was looking for was not there.

Unknowingly, she rubbed the ring finger on her left hand again, where the ring Adrian gave her was and supposed to be there. But now the ring is not there.
