Chapter 2

Cathy's POV : 

I looked at the clock that read 5:00 am, I had gotten up to use the washroom and haven't fallen asleep since then. I rolled over checking my phone to find Noah typing. Every night before I went to bed we would have a conversation, sometimes on call sometimes on text. 

Noah: Goodmorning <3 I miss you and can't wait to see you soon 

He probably sent that thinking I would read it when I woke up and that was not until 8:00am 

Cathy: goodmorning? I miss you too

Noah: Its like 5am there what're you doing up??

Cathy: I woke up to use the washroom and haven't fallen asleep yet :/ 

Noah: been there, I have news I've been meaning to tell you though 

Cathy: OHU what is ittt? 

Noah: you can come visit me here for 4 days as suing you want to of course 

Cathy: WAIT WHAT?! But what about the plane tickets? 

Noah: I saved up money and can have them booked when you're comfortable 

Cathy: OHMYGOSH I'm sure mom and dad won't mind I'll skip a few days at school, I'm so happy ahh, I might just yell 

Noah: can't wait to see you in person and not in a screen 

Cathy: I know it's going to be awesome 

Noah: go back to bed now or you get cranky 

Cathy: hey I don't get cranky! 

Noah: See it's starting already

Cathy: goodnight 🖕🏻

Noah: sleep well <3 

I put my phone away and stared at the ceiling till I fell asleep 

The sunlight from the window woke me up a few seconds before the alarm did, I lay in bed replying to everyone's texts. Reading the time on the clock that now said 8:15am I got out of bed. 

I styled my hair with a few braids and left it open because it was short, I wore a red t-shirt with leather pants just long enough so I won't get dress coded. 

Walking into school and to my locker guess who I saw, the one and only Ashton Irwin 

"Hey Ashton" I said trying to be nicer to him 

"What do you want?" He asked 

"I just wanted to apologize for acting like a di*k yesterday"

"Guys this isn't Cathy she's a clone" he said to Calum and Luke who were with him

"I cannot believe I tired apologizing to you, you're just who I thought you were!" I said angrily,I know I was overreacting but Ashton has just always got on my nerves with his perfect hair and his drumming he thought he was so perfect

"Hey hey hey I was kidding" he said 

"I don't care I tried to be nice and apologize the lest you could do is accept it!" 

"You know what I've been trying to be nice with you from the moment I got here and you have no reason to hate me so much, I don't get it" he said angrily 

"I don't need you to get it I just don't like you!" I said storming off to Psychology class.

Calum sat down next to me as I angrily read what was on the board 

"There will be a joint class with the year 12's every Tuesday during first period, I expect you to be on your best behavior till I get to class" 

"Guess you saw were having this class with Ashton" Calum told me 

"Urgh this is fucking bullshit, I have to see him at school and that's bad enough as it is and now we see each other one class every Tuesday!" I said to Calum as he chuckled 

"Karma is a bitch" he said as I saw everyone from year 12 walking into class when I saw Ashton he sat behind me and Calum with Michael, Michael and I had a lot of classes together but we never really spoke and Luke was in year 10 so I didn't see him at school at all unless I ran into Ashton and his 'best buds' 

Ashton, Calum and Michael began to talk as I was surrounded by chatter and loud laughter 

"Hey Cathy" Michael said to me noticing my obvious anger and loneliness as I had no one to talk to in the class 

"Hey Michael, what've you been up to lately?" I asked 

"Yeah sure be nice to him" Ashton mumbled Michael ignored it 

"Not a lot just been playing the guitar with...um no one in particular" he said knowing if he mentioned the band I'd get annoyed 

"I've been meaning to learn do you think you'd be able to teach me?" I asked trying to make a genuine friend 

"Oh yeah definitely that would be fun, can you come over or would you be more comfortable if I did?" 

"You can come over no ones at home after school anyway" I said as the Psychology teacher walked in 

"I'll be there" he said keeping quiet so we wouldn't get called out by the teacher 

"Ok so I will be assigning partners for this class and you will have to do assignments throughout the year together" she said 

"Calum with Emily" 

"Keira with Michael"

"Mitch with Jacob" 

The teacher called out names as I waited for mine, I zoned out till I heard my name 

"And lastly Cathy with Ashton" the teacher said, I raised my hand 

"Um Miss Smith can I change my partner?" I asked 

"No you cannot, now everyone can change their seats with your partner" she said as Ashton moved forward to sit with me 

"This fucking sucks" he said 

"Did I hear something?" Miss Smith said to Ashton as I giggled 

"No you did not" he said looking own at his shoes 

"Ok so to begin with this class I'm going to give you guys your first assignment, it's pretty simple and you will have 2 weeks to do this :

You and your partner will spend a day together and note down their behavior and your feelings toward it" great now I have to hang it with Ashton I rolled my eyes and noted down the assignment in my note book 

"Ok I wanna do this with minimum contact with you but that seems like it's not happening so where would you like to 'spend time'?" Ashton asked looking at me as I now drew my attention toward him 

"How about tomorrow? And I'm comfortable with wherever you want to do the assignment" I said trying to be considerate and nice 

"You could come over after school and no one would be there at home so we could do the assignment without my little siblings getting in the way" he said 

"Yeah sure I'll be there"

"If you want I could give you a ride right after school and start the assignment" 

"Why are you being nice? A second ago you wanted to kill me?" 

"Because we're stuck like this for a year and I don't want to be arguing through it, besides I know you act like an asshole but you're capable of being nice" he said putting his notebook into his bag as the bell rung 

"I'm only an asshole to you Irwin" I said picking my bag up and walking out of class 

*After school*

I heard the doorbell ring knowing it was Michael as I got off the couch and opened the door 

"Hey Michael" I said as he walked in 

"Hey?" He said with a little smile on his face 

"I'll get my guitar just a sec" I said climbing upstairs to my room 

After about an hour of learning the guitar Michael and I became friends, we had a lot in common and talked quiet a lot 

"I think I should get going, the guys and I have band practice" 

"That sucks" I said 

"Give me your phone I'll add my number in" he said said, I saw him type a number and name into it and hand it back as I put the phone away and walk him out 

I opened my phone curious to see what he saved my phone number as 

'Mikey :)' the contact name read, I chuckled and put my phone away to watch some T.V
