Critical Hit: The World’s Clumsiest Sword Saint

[Target in sight.] [Skill Critical Eye has been activated.] Being clumsy is quite common. But Luke Hunter’s clumsiness is on a different level. As the young man quite literally stumbles through life, he wonders if there’s something more he could be doing in the world. His dreams may come to be realized, as a freak accident causes Luke to wake up as Klum, in a completely different setting than his day-to-day life. His Dexterity, a skill that measures things such as flexibility and how well one holds themself, sits at the level it was in his past life; 1. And yet, he finds his skills to be suited for an extremely coordinated individual, especially after he meets the only other Sword Saint to have ever existed, an individual who is the strongest Swordsman among those both alive and passed on. It’s up to him to find his way in his new life, and strive to reach the path of the highest Swordsman — the Sword Saint. Will he be able to transform his 1 Dexterity into a 1000? Or will he be dragged into something much deeper — much darker? Credits to valeri_mirley on fiverr for the new cover! Updating 5-10 chapters a week, and now posting on RoyalRoad!

Chapter 70 - Would You Mind if I Tied Up Your Hands?

It takes several blinks to get the purple hue out of my sight, and even then, the Mana permeating the air is a lot to take in. I can see the huge pool of intricate blue magic flowing through Eniyala, and the golden light of the other woman's as well. It doesn't shine as bright, but it's linear and clear, while Eniyala's veins are unsurprisingly rowdy and fiery.

"You must be a healer," I mutter, looking at the woman once more. She gives a mini stomp with her foot, coming closer. "You must not be a human! Or an Elf, Dwarf, Giant, Gnome, or anything of the sort! Well, maybe part Beastperson? But you'd have to be a rare creature and you'd certainly have to look more… beastlike."

I give her a quizzical look as she gently lays me back down. "I feel pretty human. What makes you say that, anyway?"

She scoffs, checking out my right eye with a shining light on the tip of her finger. As she points a direction to look at with a non-lighted finger, she responds. "It hasn't even been a full day, and you're already awake. You were in a critical state when you came in here, and now you're acting as if your injuries barely affect you."

I shake my head. "Oh, they are definitely affecting me." I raise my hand up, touching the right side of my chest. "I think I remember… getting cut… It hurts a bunch right here."

Eniyala and the woman exchange a look. "What?" I ask, and the healer leans over and unwraps my chest. I look down to see a thin, long line from a deep cut… running down my left side. It would heal to be a barely perceptible scar, it looked like.

And the side that was in burning pain? Deep, black lines ran like cracks across my pectoral muscle, and down to the right side of my abdomen. It also traced up over and down a few inches of my shoulder muscle. The main thing that stuck in my head was how familiar I was with the shape of the scar by now.

"Lightning marks? But why?"

Eniyala scoots closer tentatively. "How much do you remember? And… How do you feel right now?"

"Other than sore?" I shoot back, toning it down after seeing her serious expression. "I don't remember much, just flashes. Shit, Raeki, is he oka—"

Eniyala leans forward and puts a hand over my mouth, silencing my growing voice. She then points to my right, and I look over to see a small boy in a similar cheap bed to mine, sleeping so soundly that he would look dead, if not for the rise and fall of his chest. "Is he gonna be okay?"

"He was expected to bounce back much better and much faster than you, if both of you would even make it. At this point, if he sat bolt upright, grew 7 years older, and grew hair that flowed straight upwards into the sky, I wouldn't be surprised," the healer says snappily. "Now, you look okay, so I'll reapply your bandages to help with the scarring, and then I was instructed to let a number of people know if you woke up — the mayor, her father, and so on. I'll have to let a few more know, since you're such a special case."

She begins wrapping my chest up, having me lift my arms as she speaks. She moves nimbly and deftly, and the salve she had spread on the long white material gives my skin a refreshing cool and tingling sensation. As soon as she finishes, she instructs Eniyala on how to wrap Raeki's, and gives a quick "I'll be right back!" before leaving the room.

Eni has just finished applying the wraps when the door bursts open — well, off it's hinges, more like. A nearly seven-foot giant slams through the doorway, his curly hair bouncing around wildly as he enters.

"You're alive!" Lynsel roars.

"Am I Frankenstein now? Yeah, I'm alive. So?"

Behind him, Gaslion barges in, and another man I didn't recognize behind him as well. He was a tall, fit man, with the smallest indication of a 'dad bod' underneath the tan button up shirt he wore. His white blazer had various dirt and other debris covering it, and hung loosely open at his sides, blending well with the also dirty matching slacks. Finally, the lady from before returned.

With only those four people entering the room that was meant to be an office, I found it to be very crowded, and I was the one sitting in bed. But, not even a minute passed before two ladies and one man entered, and the small room began to grow rapidly in heat due to all the bodies.

I could tell from the golden Mana in the man and one woman and the flowing blue Mana in the other lady that they were all healers.

The bewildered look as they stared at me, as if I had risen from the dead, aided this theory.

"…'Sup, guys," I say after a long moment of everyone just staring at me.

Gaslion is the first to speak. "Why isn't he restrained?"

"…Eh?"

"I mean, what if he goes out of control again? And you guys left him here with my daughter?! Are you fucking dumb??"

The healers seem extremely irritable at his words, but the lady from before steps forward. "Would you mind if I tied up your hands for the mental well-being of everyone here?"

"Uh, I think I would, yes?" I reply, shooting Gaslion a glare. "The hell is this about, anyway?"

As one of the healers leans over and whispers, "What is a hell?", Gaslion gets right up in my face with a sneer. "Don't play stupid. I should have checked your Affinities before letting you leave with my daughter! God, she's been around you way too long. What if you infected her?" Upon that thought, he grabs Eniyala, dragging her towards the door of the room against her will. "Stop! Wait!" she protests, trying to wrench herself free.

"I'll do it," I say quietly, trying to quiet the force in my voice. The attempt isn't very successful, as everyone shivers a bit and steps away. "Do what?" The lady asks cautiously.

"Tie me up, you BDSM freaks."

"Beedee Esim?" The same healer says, earning a glare from me.

Once I was restrained, my arms tied up to the small headrest and my legs bound by rope down to the legs of the bed, I looked up at the group with an unamused face.

"Now, what do all of you want? You're gonna give me heat stroke or something."

* * *

[Name: Klum]
[Age: 18]
[Lv: 19]
[EXP: 3420/32000]
[Class: Sword Saint's Disciple]
[Health: 67/67]
[Mana: 61/111]
[Stamina: 67/67]

STR: 17 MAG: 15
AGI: 33 DEX: 20
VIT: 10 INT: 28

ACC: 26
DEF: 13
POW: 21

[Skills: Klum's Reincarnation (Unfound), Sword Saint's Sigil (Unfound), Disciple's Mastery (Legendary), Critical Sight (Ultra Rare), Storming Moon Style (Ultra Rare), Lightning Blade (Super Rare), Underdog (Super Rare), Analyze+ (Super Rare), Detect Dark (Rare), Fury Slash (Rare), Skill Hermit (Rare), Sprint+ <+ Elemental Infusion> (Uncommon)]

[Spells unavailable]

[Party Leader Stats]

[Name: Eniyala Ignios]
[Age: 19]
[Lv: 20]
[EXP: 10980/16000]
[Class: Spellsmith]
[Health: 50/50]
[Mana: 72/176]
[Stamina: 21/50]

STR: 13 MAG: 35
AGI: 16 DEX: 11
VIT: 8 INT: 15

ACC: 13
DEF: 10
POW: 25

[Skills: Spellbind (Ultra Rare), Spell Create (Super Rare), Magic Eyes (Rare), Analyze (Rare), Magic Heart+ (Rare), Sprint+ (Uncommon)]

[Spells: Fist of Ignios, Ignios Familiar (Eniyala), Ignios Stand, Fiery Fingerblades, Ignios Arrows, Chains of Ignios, Hellfire Chain Storm, Barbaric Ignios, Ignios Smithing, Flaming Boost, Enhance, Healing Waves]
