Job Hunting!

"I'll note on that, Mistress. Let's eat first, and tomorrow I'll help you with your concerns." Ms.Alena dismissed the topic as Kela was already marching near the table for us to eat already.

As we wait at the table. I had the chance to observe what was we are going to munch today. The food on the table seems ordinary, just like regular foods, a sweet potato with veggies on the side. As expected, all the foods prepared can be found outside the house, making it more convenient for us to lessen all the expenses inside. Albeit rich I have already experienced eating this kind of food. Sometimes the housemates and butlers in the house gather around to eat and have invited me several times to look at them. It was fun, actually. I hat got to know them better and tried a lot of foods that I haven't had tasted yet. I was relieved that at least in this world, I had something I was familiar with, and that was their food.

"Mother, what I said earlier was true! There was a monster in the forest we were in with Mistress!" Kela has started talking throughout the dinner time we had. The little girl was flashbacking her experiences in the dark. Her face was fun to look at. As her story tells her face, reaction never fails to entertain anyone. Her little hands were doing things that she could only understand, which made her the center of entertainment of our mealtime. Small laughter can be heard surrounding this little house. I'd never imagined that now I had accepted my situation, I could have the chance to appreciate this regular and away from the spotlight life in the first place.

It was already dark outside of the house. The silence was eating all the surroundings outside. It was then the power of the moonlights shone throughout the sky darkness. It has made light to all living and nonliving things to feel the moonshine's beauty and grace.

The dinner was finished a few hours ago. I looked outside the window of my small room. I slowly brought myself closer to get a look outside. Not sure of the time, I always forgot how they don't have the things that usually are present in a typical home. They don't know what clocks, combs, gadgets, electronics, etc. I wonder how they can tell what time it is. The wind was blowing my hair, almost covering my whole face.

"I need to get back as soon as possible."Through the darkness, I wondered how my family was doing. I am not sure of what is my purpose here in Anivor, but I need to make it done sooner so I can return home. Releasing a loud sigh, I settled myself in the small wooden bed as I was ready to sleep. It is going to be another day tomorrow.

Morning came, and almost everything was prepared. I took a bath in their restroom. The waters were flowing freely from the hose. Its clear water was familiar, and the river was the first one that passed through my mind. Today, Ms.Alena and I plan to fulfill my favor today! As she is already familiar with the place, she can quickly help me find a job like hers.

I stepped outside my room, combing my hair. I was already wearing decent clothes that still looked like classic ones. The old brown fabric that is relatively small, the dress is quite proper to look at. Luckily even though they don't have a clock, they have a mirror to look at my reflection at the least. Examining how I look, the dress seems to fit me perfectly. Albeit old, my physical features were giving justice to this dress. Thus, without any makeup on, my skin was complimenting the color of the clothes worn. My cheeks and lips are pooping with its cherry-red hue. And my locks that have been uncombed but still with the use of my hands looked healthy. Contented, I allowed myself to be outside. Ms. Alena and Kela have been waiting for me to start the job hunting now.

When I went out, the mother and daughter instantly looked directly in my direction. It seems that they are only waiting for me to go now. Seeing the two of them, my face instantly lifts. I am lucky I feel like we are already daily despite being a total stranger to them. I walked to their place; the two intently stared at me as if they only saw me first the first time. I saw how Kela's jaw slowly dropped as I walked closer.

"Uhmm, are we going now, Ms.Alena? I asked as they were still quiet, and their eyes were focused on every move I made.

"Hello?" Waving my two hands close to their faces. Perhaps they have something in mind. They just stared at me there for a moment. "Eart to people!" I slightly raised the tone of my voice. The mother and daughter seem to take part in the reality now. It feels like my annoying voice was enough to bring them back to their reverie.

"Shall we go now?" I happily asked as I plain with my hands the creases on Kela's cute tiny dress.

"Wow! Mistress, you look beautiful!" Kela shouted as she was swirling around me. I laughed at the way she said those words. She's acting like we haven't been together for the past few days. I looked for Ms. Alena's vision, and it was directed at her bubbly daughter. I just nodded as a sign of understanding its energy.

"We shall start to walk now." Ms. Alena said she was extending her hands to Kela, urging her to take them. The little girl also dragged me, leading the three of us to walk hands in hand together.

"Ms. Alena, I have another favor to ask. Will, you mind if you could call me by my name. Mistress's title seems a little formal for us since I am no royalty to start off. Just treat me like an average person here." I turned on the side, waiting for her reaction.

For the past few days, I have heard how they address me. At first, I don't seem to mind it, but it does not make sense since I am no longer the heiress of Lockhart Inc. In here, I am only Rovina without any riches and title. An average person who is now living with Ms. Alena and Kela.

"Our apologies; we may have taken the thought that you belong to the affluent families. The way you possess a second name which only royalty can keep. The knowledge that you hold that we can't relate to. Your beauty is godly. You can be comparable to the girls in the higher-ups in Alverna, Rovina. If I don't know you and your background in life, I indeed will worship you." Ms. Alena said as she was removing the big leaves that were covering the way we were going to take. The path now seems unfamiliar since the forest looks the same. Its green vibes start from the trees and grasses. I will indeed be lost if I am only the one navigating for the first time.

I didn't have the time to react to what Ms. Alena said. I didn't know that they saw me like that. I assume that they didn't believe me, for my surname was unknown to their knowledge but what she had narrated right now proved me wrong on my assumptions.

"I-I thank you for that, Ms. Alena. My apologies, too, for I caused your a burden in the past few days. I am under your guidance. I will surely remember this and repay you for your kindness."

"No, it's nothing, to begin with. We are happy to help anyone that needs help. Luckily, we are also glad that we've found you. Kela seems to be fond of you as a prominent sister figure."

"Thank you." I sincerely said, flashing a big smile stretching half of my face. She returned my reaction with the same one. Kela, on the other hand, was observing the surroundings around us and was skipping happily.

"We are nearing our destination. Rovina, I only know two vacancies right now. There are a lot of people who need jobs too. Luckily these stores are far away from Alverna and nearby our house. It seems to be convenient for you to work there."

"Do you perhaps know how to collect and count money? Or maybe sew a dress? I forgot to tell you this information yesterday. I am hoping you know at least one of them." Ms.Alena stared at me for a while, stopping from her tracks. Patiently waiting for my answer, I nodded.

"Yes, I quite have the skills to count money. Ms. Alena. But I would like to see its store environment. Perhaps I will order the other one to which one I am comfortable to work." I apologetically returned Ms. Alena's gaze. I seem demanding person who is desperate to find a decent job.

"I understand; we are just like each other—no need to be embarrassed about it," she said as she observed how shy I was fr my action.

"And Rovina, you can call me mother too. As for the titles, let's leave it all behind and be a family," she added. She was smiling wildly while looking at her daughter for approval. I looked at Kela too and found her excitedly nodding.

"Big sister! Yeheey!!" the little girl said, hugging me tightly.
