1 The Beginning

(this part is just an insight you can skip this if you want)

Samantha's pov:

Hi, my name is Samantha Light. I am the daughter of James and Sofia Light. I am a light, I know it's kind of a tongue twister if you say it out loud.

Lights are actually very special creatures they can take energy from any living thing present around them and transform that energy to teleport. Actually teleportation takes a lot of energy like if I want to transport to a place at a distance of ten kilometers then the person from whom I have taken energy will become unconscious for half a day to revive his lost energy.

I live with both of my parents in a not so big house. Our house has four bedrooms one for me, one for my parents, and one for my dad when he gets kicked out and a guest room, all with attached bathrooms. My parents don't fight that much but when they do then no one can save my dad from my mother's anger. My mother was a rebellious teen and my father fell for her rebellious nature, he loved how she defied him when no other person dared. Their numerous encounters (most of them being my dad getting scolded by my mom) led to a beautiful love story.

We also have a kitchen with all modern appliances, a dining room and a living room. My dad is the beta of light seed pack and the owner of a big supermarket. He is rich but he still works at super market to contribute in our groups finance.

We actually adopted some terms from werewolves like alpha, beta, pack, these are actually easier terms to distinguish the leaders from the rest of the group. These terms represent the power of the person instantly making you aware of their position. Our pack is the second largest, the largest is the sunshine pack .

I have recently finished my primary school and I am starting my middle school from today. I had a great time in primary school and I am excitedly looking forward to the mid school. I am a very social person and love to make friends. That's the only reason I am wide awake and dressed in my uniform at 6:00 am in the morning when the school starts at 9:00. I don't have any siblings so the only thing that keeps me entertained is reading stories on ttawpad. So I took out my phone and without wasting any time started reading.

I jerked a little when I heared the front door open. I saw my father was already standing in the door way all dressed up. Wow how long have I been reading for? I quickly glanced at the clock to see that it's 7:50 am. Guess I got absorbed again, you can't blame me the stories are very pretty interesting. I am currently reading obsessed with you, the main lead is a badass queen. She has all these powers and she is damn smart.

I quickly got my backpack, gave a quick peck on my mom's cheek and rushed towards the car where my father was standing. As you all can see I am the filial daughter type. He smiled towards me and then started the engine, I got in the passenger seat. My dad took me to a nearby restaurant for breakfast, actually it's our little tradition whenever I start my new class my father will bring me to get waffles from my favourite place, it was just at 15 minutes drive and had a very cozy feel to it, with some vintage furniture and a loving owner it's worth visiting. When we entered the bell above the door rang and Samara (the owner) stepped forward and hugged me. "how are you dear?, I hope that like every other year you have a memorable time with your friends."

After eating my father paid the bill to the waitress who was completely eyeing my father, what can I say? my father is actually good looking and the fact that lights don't age that quickly adds to it, I couldn't help but imagine what would have happened if mom was here, she would have killed that waitress for the flirty looks she was giving to my father. "Ready to go princess" my dad asked " yes dad" and with that we went towards my new school.

We arrived there after ten minutes of drive. The gates were enormous and the building had almost five floors. Now I am curious to see how does it looks from the inside. I got out of the car waved at my dad and went inside the building. As expected the building was actually pretty nice from the inside, first thing that caught my attention were posters lots and lots of posters. Wow how can they allow that? It looks like those posters will rip off all the paint with them if your ever wanted to remove them, at least they were colorful.

There was no one in the collider looks like I was the first one to enter. I glanced at my watch to see that it's already 8:24 looks like there are no early arrivers in mid schools.

I was curious about my new school so seeing the building empty I used the opportunity to roam around a bit and get familiar with the location of classes, lockers and stuff like that.

After about fifteen minutes of randomly roaming around. I began to hear strange noises coming from one of the classes,someone was screaming. At that very moment I gracefully got reminded of every single horror movie I saw till now.

How can my situation get so similar to a movie plot? , I mean I was the only one in this building , however being the smart person I am and learning nothing from horror movies I went directly towards the source of the scream, chanting some prayers over and over again in my head.

When I entered the classroom I saw something that changed my life.

I saw a girl getting bullied by three other girls , being the daughter of a beta I was always tought to help the weak. I marched towards them angrily and stopped them. Then I asked why were they bullying her. The blonde one said " she sold us the right to hurt her. " I looked confused at her" my parents are poor I need money for my and my brother's fees " she said looking me in my eyes. Then I did the most in expected thing" I can replace her" I said looking towards the blonde one. " Fine then how about you sign a paper saying that you are allowing us to show you your rightful place by any means we want. " the side kick I suppose said. I was kind of terrified I mean if I do sign a note like that then they can do what ever they want to me. But looking at the girl and her broken state and seeing that all of them are humans I agreed I mean seriously how much harm can a mere human do. I was seriously dumb back then, now that I think about it I could have involved some elders into it and saved myself from this mess but no I just had to take it on my self. (eye roll)

After this my whole mid school life became hell. It turned out that the girl that got me into this was an addict and got a huge amount of money from those three bitches to get the new student in this mess. And being a busy body I am I just had to get in this mess. Every day those girls would hit me on different places apart from my face so that no one could notice. I would get some hits and then drain some of their energy so that they can leave me alone. I can use my full power on them but that would only lead to more mess with the risk of our identity getting exposed. I didn't told my mother and father about this situation because I don't want them to worry about the shit that I got myself into. Now I pray everyday for God to send someone powerful who can help me out. Even though I am a light but I heal at a speed slightly higher than that of humans and believe me when you get a hit at the place where the previous injury hasn't healed yet it hurts and burns like hell. They hit me a few time before I drain their energy but since they hit me every day and I have less time to heal, I have bruises all over my body and I really hope that someone can save me from this hell before I do something that I'll regret.

(Ariel is the main lead, the story becomes more interesting after a couple of chapters).
