During the fight with the woman, I kicked the bookshelf that the couple used as a mechanism and cover. Yet, they didn't manage to repair it immediately that night.

Thus, they temporarily tied me up in the living room and went to rest.

Due to my legs being broken by the man, even the tiniest movement caused me to feel intense pain. Since I nearly lost the ability to walk, they were not worried that I would escape and didn't bind my legs.

But even if it hurt so much, I still had to get up.

I searched in the darkness and moved inch by inch toward the kitchen with my tied hands.

I wanted to retrieve my phone.

If I opened the door now, I would not only alert the couple, but I also wouldn't be able to call the police, leading to getting caught by them in the end.

Therefore, I must get my phone first.

Even though it was less than 33 feet of distance, I still took more than half an hour to move to the kitchen from the living room.
