Alan: Chapter 1

The night was dark and colder than what Alan expected. Even tho the clouds were still as stone up in the black sky but the winds still blew cold into his room. The cold made him lazier than usual. Sharp wit usually comes with Laziness and Alan was the prime example in the streets. He laid his hot coffee on the dark wood table and laid down on the wool sofa, practicing his usual routine.

"A renowned detective missing!! Sources say that he failed to compete with his arch rival! The Detective Alan.." the TV roared before Alan reached out to shut the tv from destroying his left over self esteem. I didn't lose.. He thought even tho his self doubt rose. It was a dumb case and that dumb bitch just got the witness before me. Fuck you, Lucy!

He laid his trusting body back and shut his eye, but got interrupted by a loud thud at his door. It took time for him to realise this couldn't be a knock or just kids playing outside... It was strange, and that was all he could make up. He forced his limbs to stand straight and tiptoed to the wooden door. What If it's some Hitman sent by Lucy or just an old enemy? I surely have many of those, He thought. Even with all his thoughts, the reasonable answer was to just open the door up. So he did and soon enough found that tiny cardboard box laying on his rusting door mat with the white letter that flashed the letters 'A-L-A-N' in bright red.
