No changes, well It's not like I expected for something to happen.

I turn to see my camo backpack sitting in the corner of my room. I wander over to it and check I have everything. Water bottle, check. Pencil case with equipment, check. Red swiss army knife, check. Glass vial, check. Notebook, check. Diary, not here... good. Laptop, check.

Might as well go to school now. Maybe I can get out of the house before mum knows abo-

"Nope~ come down and say goodbye to me~" Mum shouts.

Me at the door: "Bye~"

MUAHAHA! She can't tell where I am when mind reading so it's easy to trick her. I open the door.

"Hmm, the black hoodie and red blouse complement your black hair with red streaks. The grey skirt works well with the black tights, the socks seem a bit weird but they work well with the crimson sneakers. All you need is red contacts to look like a vampire really, black eyes don't really cut it." Mum states while standing outside the door.

I was foolish.

I can feel my eyes turn red as my hairs stand on end.

"Bye. I'm going to school." I walk out.

After giving mum the mandatory hug while my body quakes and shivers in confusion, I walk towards school. How the hell does she do that? She's a mind reader, more than that it's like she sees the future.

As I come up on my schoolmates bustling along the grey concrete street like a river of people flowing towards school. I walk into the crowd, joining the flow as if I was part of it originally. Why are there so many people today? Oh no. It's sports day isn't it. That damned Inter-school event! Why is it still going on? It doesn't seem like anyone has chosen a new race from what I can see but it still doesn't seem likely we'd go on with the event; as I stroll closer and closer to the school I feel a shiver down my spine and my vision blurs ever so slightly.

I shake my head and look around to dispel the blur and the shock recedes. Everywhere I look I see blood, running through each and every vein. I can hear the echoes of heartbeats, a deafening sound made worse by the crowd. I can smell the blood.

I take out a lollipop that my mum gave me to occupy myself. Yeah, no doubt she can see the future.

I see the school loom over the crowd, showing its prowess as a compound. So many people can fit in it. It'll be easy to host the sports event here and even if people go out of line the teachers from other schools can just step in.

That's the problem.

Damn it, I can't skip school because of the stupid principal saying that: 'your attendance is down, get it up or I could just fail you right then and there you know.' I don't care but mum does which is the annoying part of it. I just have to get through this school year, that's all.

But first, I need to get through this damned day.

A few minutes later I arrive at the school near the back of the crowd of students. On the way to class I see my 'friends' who stroll over in their infuriatingly synchronicity and greet me. Out of all the people and little troupes in the schools; the quartet of matching fashion causes me to shiver at the core the most.

They walk near me with their mid-thigh yellow skirts and weird red tights. The click-clacking of their 'oh I'm so fancy' black block heel shoes draws closer. As I finish with gathering the black notebooks I use for class one of them and their dark-red jackets bumps into me. Could they be anymore obvious in their hate? I don't think so.

"Hmm?" The voice that causes me to grind my teeth and my spine to shiver begins to speak.

"What's this you bump into me and no apology or anything of the sort?" They ask.

I was wrong, I raised a flag. They CAN be more obvious.

"..." I ignore the voice that continues to grate on my nerves.

"Oi, don't ignore her." One of the other three says.

Great, here it comes, the stupidity on a higher level than every damned Karen on the planet.

"Oh look, there's a tear in her jacket what, did you bring a knife to school or something?" Of the two left, the one on the right speaks in an angelic voice that contradicts her personality.

Thanks for the option though.

"Heh?" She says.

Dumbfounded at me bringing my swiss army knife near her nose they come to and back off just to stare weirdly at my eyes.

"Pft. That's all you're willing to do? Pathetic." I reply to their behaviour by slanting my head up.

I close my locker, zip my bag and head upstairs to my classroom.

Was pulling that knife on them too cruel? No. Just what's bothering me...

I shrug off my thoughts and set my bag down and sit in my seat. I take my phone out to check the recent news.

[... It appears that there seems to be some rare metals being processed by LC Incorporated and although we attempt to make contact with the one able to refine these metals there has been no progress whatsoever, not their race, age, skills, gender or anything has been found about this person.

Many believe that it may just be ...]

"OI!"

I jolt upright to see my teacher glaring at me with his knife-like eyes. I put away my phone and sit ready to listen.

Everyone hears the sigh from the teacher and chuckles, snickers and giggles make their way around the class before the teacher calls us to assign us a sport for... tomorrow? Why were there so many people? They're going to a hotel so they don't have to make the trip in the morning... doesn't that just make them lazy? But this means I can just call in si...

"Oi, just so you know if any of you buggers try to call in sick or for any other reason can't come I will personally hunt you down." The coarse voice of our teacher calls out before drinking some water.

Damn it, I shiver as I think of how similar the teacher is to my mother. Would they get along? Most definitely. Would they love to embarrass me? Not even a discussion.

My body seems vibrates as it enters my senses and shakes my core.

Is that?

Blood, I can smell it but... wait, is this from...
