SUBTLE WINDS - The Systems.

This said chaos had activated something during my attempt to sense it. Something I had not expected or known. The more I thought about it the more confused I was. Normally I would shrug this off and mutter something about it revealing itself when it was time or I could force myself to figure it out if the answer had to do defeating with something at the moment. But while none of this was the case I couldn't get myself to stop thinking about it. Yet no matter how hard I thought it refused to come to me.

"Twiddling your thumbs and biting your lips won't help you figure it out. There are things not meant to be solved, puzzles not made to be arranged, Hilde. " I looked at the red ha+ired boy with storm gray eyes as he sat before me.

"Things like this very event are one of the many cases you do not need to know, both to avoid repercussions and because you just could not know." Cole waved an arm making black and purple matter gather together. They swirled together condensing and unraveling to reveal a tiny figure of a female floating in midair. A scene transpired in seconds before me, one I had already borne witness to twice.

"The Chaos remembers. But it can only do this because it had a connection with something else. Everything has a connection with each other in some way. This was how you were able to gaze not just upon your creation but the bang that formed the dawn of your universe." he twirled his finger changing the little scene before me to the present.

"Then this moment happened. You tapped into the chaos, it remembered your event to teach you solidly how to wield chaos and with that, you completed your paradox." He clapped his palms dispelling the chaos his gaze fixed intently on me. No smiles and no mirth on his face.

"This is a weakness Hilde." the strain of seriousness in his voice had my core tightening. "This very moment, the moment you became a Creation's Witness. Unraveling this point in time could and will lead to not just your erasure but all that have been formed in the star rings." I stared wide-eyed at him.

"All that will be left is nothing but the very first being who existed before all this happened." He raised an eyebrow at me.

"Me" I gulped. "The me at the very Dawn."

"I could try to explain how this is possible but it is something only time could explain. Unfortunately, he is not on our side. Even worse it could tamper with this moment if it realized it existed. Which is why for no reason Hilde must you return to this time. No matter how powerful, invincible, or undetectable you become never let this secret out." Cole exhaled with the last words of his warning.

"Now. Enjoy your benefits. You've done well enough to sense and see both Primordial chaos and its vestiges, utilizing it though is another thing entirely. Only at that moment can you make the first step in healing your arm. " he made an eye roll as he saw my visibly conflicted face at getting my arm back. "For all the good that is".

I sat there in silence taking everything in. From the notifications I received to the warning from Cole. I let myself stew in the feeling of the Chaos on my skin and the sight of the violet energy rolling off my flesh in turbulent waves. Yet I could not control it. Just see it. I watched it react all over me, but unlike in my Remembrance, the chaos movement was different.

'It was inactive. It was neither breaking my cells down nor letting the divinity build it up. Just moving about, yet stagnant.

" What next?" I blurted. The question more for my thoughts on what the chaos should be doing or how to do it than for Cole. But the U.I. replied nonetheless.

"My treasures. That's what. Now you fulfill your part. I thought you what you need. The rest is up to you." He sounded dismissive. "And some bother trying to delay or not fulfill your part. The only reason I was allowed to teach or even bring you here is because I followed the rules. I've done my part in this quest by teaching you and..."

"You taught me nothing. Just brought me here."

"Here. Somewhere you could never have gotten too alone. At least not yet. Besides my advice was helpful." he poured at the end.

"Fine." I sighed.

"Tomorrow the game begins once more. The Beta Wave arrives and the Higher gods will awaken in the Tartarean Rifts. Your treasures will be found by them. And hopefully, they grow quickly enough to return."

"Return?" Cole frowned puzzled. A smile lit up my face as I replied.

"If they are not fast enough they'll lose any way of connecting to the mortal plains. I doubt they'd want to become high powers without mortals to squabble beneath them. " I froze as I gasped at my own words.

"You sounded like a true goddess there" he chuckled. Rolling my eyes I just kept on talking.

"Of course, the Beta Players won't have it any easier to grow. In fact, I believe their lives in this game will be tougher." The curiosity on Cole's face was satisfying.

"I guess you won't drop a spoiler."

"Let's just say. It's hard enough to fight amongst yourselves while having a blade hanging over your neck."

"And how does it all affect Vaustaris?"

"You and I are not yet reconciled. No answers for you" I sneered before ignoring his wronged expression and looking back to my notifications.

"It's all set," I muttered. My eyes met Cole's as my mind went to another matter. "What now?" I had set everything I could think of at the moment for the coming players just like when I had done so for the Higher gods.

Which left me just as before without anything to do. I shook my head at this realization since I could never have thought that there would come a time when I would feel bored in the game. It also made me think if what we Creator gods were. Not just makers but setters, path pavers, in a way fate controllers. Yet it left me restless at times.

But after going through everything in my mind there was nothing new to this game that I hadn't seen. This place I was in was the only new area. I knew yet I had the feeling I wasn't meant to be here yet.

There were the Tartarean rifts but it was meant for the Higher gods to handle. Which left Mistrelon and the System Dungeons. I had already seen The Nether realm and while I wondered if there would be something more exciting and dangerous in the other system dungeon, one thing made me decide quickly.

"It's been a while since I was there. There should be more of it. I wonder how I will measure to it now".

" I wonder why I feel like this setting would be complete with a tray of tea and a good game of Pai Sho"

"Pie what"

Cole grabbed his chest while shaking his head. "You are not of culture".
