Realm Wars 2 - A Quest

A council of gods was a very rare thing to see in the star rings. The closest to having the gods together was a party of them running a dungeon.

The gods were inexplicably adamant about staying in their lanes and doing their things. Their wars were fought with beautiful living armors earned with MVCs gotten from selling their loot to the system or each other.

Each living armor came completed courtesy of the mother. Their only role, to give it life by offering a shard of divinity into the armor's matrix.

The players and even the NPC gods had fought tooth and nail to grow a sizable army of living armor for themselves.

But now change had come to the three realms. First was the announcement of a fourth realm. It elated the players mostly as it meant new regions to see. The next announcement had been less pleasing to hear and more shocking.

The fact that the fourth realm was a realm of demons quite literally shocked them.

The first unknown god's territory had fallen and the god was executed. Respawning in the Silver Temple the God had brought the news with him.

While most would have failed to believe him thinking it was some sort of ruse many did listen. The chances of an attack coming from just a fourth realm had been announced not skipping their attention.

So it was that a council of gods was formed.

THIRD-PERSON POV,

The Aegis Pantheon was baffled at the sudden change in what had been a good gaming experience. While everything that was happening wasn't unwanted it derailed from the normal pace they had been going through since their first day.

Ever since the first of their three leaders had figured out the brain behind what was expected to hit the game soon they all had come together to bolster and support each other.

Seizing a good spot on the map of Torheim was something that had not been easy but not impossible either. Dungeon runs, shard sells, and creations. Having the goddess of technology in their pantheon helped matters greatly in that aspect.

Their Divine territories while not completely together were separated by no man's land that still served a similar purpose of keeping them together.

Then the new realm had been announced. The Triad had called a meeting to discuss what would be done about this. But it seems the new realm had been faster to act. Before they could congregate in one of their meeting points the news of the attacks on many known and unknown gods' border territories had reached the silver temple. The coalition point of all gods.

The confusion was cleared with the shocking news that came from no one else but the Skywalker herself. The white-furred Umduni as many said she rightfully was according to the whispers from the other divine races had announced her presence atop the very circlet of her temple.

The Aegis pantheon couldn't understand what she meant by war had come to Torheim. Hadn't all the gods been fighting since their spawn day?

Then an Unknown god respawning explained all he saw. The fear of such brutal a fight and his execution almost terrified him. As a player, it was something he shouldn't have experienced or felt. Atleast not to a realistic extent. The only reason the Argat had not tried logging off was due to most players convincing him in seclusion that it was all a game.

The Skywalker had ordered them to gather and await instructions while promising them she was watching.

For the first time, the gods saw themselves forming a council. A grand circle of five. The circle in respect of the universe's name and the silver temple itself. The five in respect of the five administrator gods.

At the center ring sat the highest leveled gods of the higher races whether unknown or known. The second ring had the higher level of the upgraded races while the third had the higher of the basic races. Each seat had twelve candidates something the unknown gods had pushed for much to the confusion of the known gods.

The rest of the divines could only watch from the larger of the two rings that encompassed the other three in size made to accommodate the few remaining gods. Comfortable or not they all observed the high-powered ones debate their fates.

The Aegis could only watch on proudly while having two of their own at each ring. Daedalus and Mariet at the first ring. Jean was on the second ring, while the only one of their pantheon in the third was Hardima. While Yarrow and Porteis had higher levels one was miscellaneous and the other a custom race.

"Silence!" The loud voice of a being boomed as a portal familiar to most unraveled in their midst. The stage made with each of the circles behind looming higher off the ground gave all a good sight of the opening portal.

The portal vanished to reveal the same being that Daedalus had come to know as Ten. But it wasn't exactly him. While they all looked alike this one was leaner and shorter yet it was obvious he still towered above them all.

"An Unborn". The whispers sounded through their ears. Little to nothing had been heard of these entities. The Known gods had only seen them a few times before their spawning. Guards of the administrators at their younger ages.

Now that the administrators were older all had suddenly vanished as if nonexistent. But Daedalus knew better. He could still remember Ten's words. Somewhere out there, these beings waited for them. Why? and how? He had no idea.

The being stood there taking them all in it's white eyes sending a familiar pressure through them. Yet Daedalus could sense that the effect was weaker than he remembered. Whether he was growing stronger or this one was weaker than Ten he didn't know.

Daedalus was certain that the being stared at them with nothing but disgust. It just stood watching and making them antsy for a while before it turned and spat to the side. Its spittle burning the grass at its feet.

" Weak," he grumbled.

The murmurs from the gods were hard to suppress but the big one cared not. He stood staring and waiting before he made a clap that sent shockwaves reverberating through them.

"Long have we awaited your aid in the rifts. But you stay here and play your mock wars, where you remain undying. You drink your wines in your mockeries of a divine palace, hiding away from the true challenges of your home." the unborn growled out every word.

" What challenges?" a god spat incensed. "We fight what we have to contend against. From the Bast Domain to the Hell's Gate and What if. The beasts of the field fear us and the aether beasts rule the skies yes but soon we shall dominate".he made a fist with a proud smirk.

'Definitely an unknown. Classic'. Daedalus sighed at the display of stupid arrogance. It was usually such mannerisms that helped distinguish players from NPC. That and words or actions.

The male was an Argonne like him which explained the pride. Daedalus withheld a sigh as he awaited the Unborn's reaction. Fortunately, the Unborn didn't seem to deem him worthy of his attention. Yet the big one spoke.

"If you believe yourselves able to defeat an aether beast then you're more foolish than unready. " he shook his head his facial expression showing disdain something weird with the skeletal face he had. The Unborn was quick to turn after his words a portal swiftly appearing as he made to leave.

"Wait.." A feminine voice called. All turned to look at the Elosas her large eyes widened in panic as she made a slight bow to the Unborn.

"Forgive my arrogant brother. He speaks his frustration but means no disrespect. You bring us aid and help. We ask you forgive us if we are less than you expect". Daedalus had to applaud her way with words.

The Unborn stared for a moment before looking to the Argonne who scooter before taking his seat on the stone chairs his wings wrapped up front.

" Your realms have seen relative peace for the longest time. " he stared at everyone before settling back on Mariet.

"Because the true wars are fought outside of it." All this is a construct to ready you for what is to come. The mother cuddles and pampers you even more than she does her children. Letting you have your way while she battles beings we could never comprehend." Daedalus locked gazes with the other players in his pantheon. They were all listening aptly awaiting some lore or quest notification.

"The mother after a great push and with apparent dislike has let this happen. To bring you out of your days of plays and frolicking." it was obvious no one liked their hard-fought wars for territory being referred to as plays but none spoke to avoid making the Unborn leave.

"What comes for you, the mother calls, a race that has existed far before your lot were born of the excess energies. Far before her older children saw the Sol and the realms were forged as they suckled". the Unborn paused once more.

"Mother calls them Devils. The antithesis to everything you lot are. And they come for your thrones and resources because it is what they do."

"You lot should be too weak to survive" he sneered.
