Realm Wars 12 - Descend!!

The Lunar castle slowly fixed the destruction that adorned its interior. It gathered the shards of the fallen Lunals as well as their destroyed armors and patched it all back, then fixed the fire pits of the hall before resetting the walls and furniture as well as the doors.

"Have you had enough?" Cole asked. He stood at the same spot unmoving. His attire was unblemished. He flicked a hand through his long red hair and patted down a rogue strand.

Hilde lay on the ground, her leg bent in a very unorthodox way. Her chest was caved in yet she was alive. Only because the system registered it as a friendly spar.

'What about this was friendly?' she queried mentally.

Blood dribbled down the cut on her head and her shoulder realigned itself before snapping into place as did her leg. Divinity working to fix all the damages.

"What are you?"

"Don't give me that crap about U.I.s. What.. are you?" she coughed out the glob in her throat before standing.

Cole sighed. "You can go now" he stated. He didn't need her attacking him again. Her body wouldn't take another strike and healing would last longer than the allocated time for the 'training ' ongoing below.

'It's almost time anyway' he thought. It was obvious the girl had the desire to punch him but her priorities were straight, evident as she pushed past him to leave the castle.

"Heal up well at least " She ignored him as she pushed open the door and stumbled out into the field. The first time she was walking and not just flying out. She didn't take the time to admire the scenery that was her garden as she raced through the pathways headed for her gate.

Reaching the gate, the Lunals had they been alive would have been confused since she never used the gate. They opened the massive thing without care and the girl stepped out without a glance back as well, her avatar dropping off the edge of the structure. Past the Liquidfied lightning she went and like a diver into the nothingness.

'I'm so kicking him out' was her thought as she fell.

She knew she wasn't falling. The nothingness arranged itself according to one's intentions. So since she had wanted to fall it let her fall. It only worked with entities that were above its existence though.

Divinity churned through her as she fell, healing her wounds and fixing her up, yet she noted the injuries for some reason were delayed in their healing. As she fell past Torheim she noted the corpses of the demons strewn around. She wondered if she chose the right thing.

Or was she wrong? It had to be that she did choose wrong, after all the choice had led to...this. Her eyes found the soul realm. It was horrific.

The tip of the realm was covered in a black sea. Her children and was that Ayarat were battling the arms of the chaos sea.

The gods, devils, demons, and living armors were fighting an endless tide of chaos beings. Her eyes went back to the six fighting back to back. They could last longer she decided.

She aligned her fall to the middle of the chaos armada. Close enough to the gods to aid them yet far off to bring destruction with her entrance.

Her body still hurt from the fight with that demon that called himself a U.I. What was he exactly?

She didn't have time to think of the countless possibilities as she crashed into the ground. A shockwave scattered all over from her spot with dense divinity within it. It burned the chaos entities to nothing and threw the gods down while she fought mentally to control the energy and avoid the devils and demons who had been helping.

"Finally." she coughed. "I arrived".

ES-GNT

The auditorium was like a grave. No one spoke. Even the staff had come out to watch while most just used their devices.

Bertha had barely spoken since the ravens showed the death of the Undule to the evolved beast. Said beast was still locked in mad combat with a female Evershu who everyone guessed had been close to the Undule.

It was harder to kill her than everyone had expected since the girl's power seemed to help her craft armor over herself. Armor that took the beating from the thing and aided to keep her alive. Time and time again gods would jump in to aid only to be thrown out by her when about to die.

The Evershu faced off against the beast with such anger, it wasn't a surprise she already had a good fan base rooting for her.

That was the excitement of it. A game where defeat was just as possible as victory only through your actions and nothing else. No A.I decided your attacks were hard or weak. If it was critical it would be critical.

The audience bit their nails as they watched.

Until suddenly the screen changed.

"What happened? Did she die?" Bertha asked.

"Tell me she didn't die" the commentator cried as she scanned her comments for what happened. The crowd was equally as tensed as they questioned the suddenly black screen.

Until everyone noticed that the screen wasn't black, what everyone thought was the raven showing the ground or something turned out to be different. The raven wasn't facing the ground but up recording the nothingness that floated like black mist and clouds above the gods. Everyone was confused as they pondered if the streamer birds were confused until they saw it.

The little pinprick of light that was a distance away grew bigger and bigger at a slow but steady pace.

"What's that? Don't tell me it's more trouble?" Bertha folded her palms into fists. Then a comment caught her eye. She read it out word for word.

"Something flying through the nothing. Golden and fast. Had better be her".

Bertha looked up to the audience who seemed equally as confused.

"Better be who?" she asked the commenter. She watched as the light got bigger until it was very visible. A ping took her eyes to her device. Her eyes widened at whatever she read before she announced it to the audience and spectators.

"The creator goddess of course."

The crowd stirred at this announcement. Most were angered that she was late, others relieved while most that didn't or hadn't watched the goddess fighting before remained worried.

Just like Bertha.

"What exactly could she do? I mean I wanted her to come but looking at that sea. How can she stop it?" she asked. No one answered. A ping on her device had her looking to see another comment. This one was different.

When the page for the game show was made it got different badges and stars. Those with badges or stars were actual players in the game. Those without were just viewers.

The type or color of a star or badge denoted one's being or rank in the game.

For now, there were only two different stars. The first was a gold one for gods, and the second white with black numbering was for creators. The number carried the creator player's current rank on the leaderboard.

The comment had a white star with the number ten on it. The name registered as Octavan on their site.

"A comment from a creator player" She didn't announce his name or rank because of several reasons.

"He says and I quote. 'It's Hildelith. She always finds a way." The crowd just looked back to the screen as did Bertha curbing her desire to interrogate this player.

'You're not a reporter hold your horses'. Her thoughts were cleared as the light finally landed right in the middle of the battle sending dust and a wave of energy in all directions.

FRANCO'S POV

I hurried, my left wing drooping by my side as it burned with pain from the broken bone. I cared little for it, my eyes locked on Gertrude, and the beast tangled up as it tried to pry her armor off with its extra hands while it drooled over her from its gaping maw.

We'd already lost Jean. We couldn't lose Gertrude too.

I kicked off the ground soaring high as I brought my sword up tip pointing down when gravity activated and I was dragged down, I arranged myself eager to pierce this monster through its back and out its hideous jaws.

Then something crashed into the field and the shock and tremor blew me, and everything. I watched even as I was tossed away. I watched the shock wave and bright light of whatever it was burn the beast away till it was nothing but a husk of charred flesh when I crashed into the ground.

"What was that?" a voice asked amidst the ringing in our ears. Our battle rage had been solidly quenched by whatever had caused the eruption of energy. We could all feel the thick density of divinity from the blast. Something not easily accessible or achievable by any divine let alone a daemon.

The dust cleared as a groan washed over the battlefield. I watched while still on my ass as a figure rose staggering to its feet from the center of a crater limping as it moved.

She, it was a she looked ragged. Her golden gown was torn and dirtied. Golden ichor dripped down her arms and I watched as she snapped her foot into place with a hiss. Was this even a player? Did people just snap bones back into place without screaming?

The girl spoke.

"Finally. "

She coughed a bit as she stretched out herself. God was she tall. Not tall like normal but abnormally tall.

"I arrived". Her words graced our ears as she turned and glanced at us. Her face was bruised, with scratches and cuts on her beautiful cheeks. Eyes the deepest sets of blue I had ever seen.

I wasn't the only one dazed as I heard someone mutter incoherently beside me. Her name escaped a few of our lips even as she stopped looking at all.

Her attention went to the madness that was the chaos sea and the still rushing tide of beasts. I noted then that her arrival had decimated the entire mile space in front of us. Leaving not even the dust of the entities.

The sound of a sword cutting through something had me turning to see Gertrude drawing her blade from the now-dead husk of the evolved beast.

It had survived, but I was certain it was simply because it had been at the edge of her full blast. I noted her eyes pause on Gertrude and in her gaze, there was nothing but sadness.

And anger.

She turned and raised her left hand clenched and tugged back like she had something grasped. I watched stupefied as the five administrators and the being that had been helping them were pulled to the ground.

The crashed right in front of us. Some on their heels and others on their backs. She seemed to silently appraise them before locking eyes with the Suneater. She smiled at him for just a second but it was like everything was over.

Then she raised her arm and a golden ball appeared spinning and increasing in size. Once the size of a basketball to her she did something.

I didn't understand what she did but a white piece of energy one that gave me a sense of dread and yet hunger for it separated from the golden ball. It seemed to affect even the administrators and the sixth being who I noted looked like a devil.

But like the administrators, she was bigger and taller. It seemed that the higher-ranked one was the bigger they became.

My mind went back to focus as I saw her release the golden ball. It shattered and spread towards us like a mist, floating and touching out skin, getting absorbed as it healed all our wounds. My wings were fixed and my scratches were mended. But the rest remained dead. She seemed to have the same thought as she looked at the corpses.

Her eyes hardened and she turned away to face the still-charging entities. Did they ever give up?

"Mother? How can we help?" she paused at the question from the Skywalker. Turning she regarded the girl and then shook her head. Without a word, she turned away.

"She's pissed" the blood God muttered.

"I'll rest now" the sixth being muttered collapsing on the floor.

"We have to help she alone can't.." Freyr began but the sixth being tossed a stone at his head interrupting him.

"Do you believe your mother weak? Trust me, she is not".

" But.."

"Why do you think that entity didn't outright attack when it first popped in?" the female being asked. I was itching to use inspect on her.

"Because it was gathering more of that black thing?" Haero asked.

"Close enough."

"It was searching for her, wasn't it? Unable to sense her it attacked" I answered making all six of them turn to me.

"You got a smart one". the being spoke again her eyes locked in interest on me.

"If you ever wish to become a devil just ring me up."

Money was a good resource. I hid my smile, no reason to have the others think I would defect.

The five just grumbled before turning to watch their mother.

"If it calms you. Your mother had fought beings more or less powerful than this. There's a reason I fear her". she added.

"You say it like your fear counts," Tora growled.

"It does child. I'm over a thousand years old. Nothing has frightened me more than that goddess" I believed her. Not the words. The look in her eyes. Whatever feat this being had seen Hildeltih perform had terrified her.

Before anyone could ask anything else a voice swept through the realms. It resounded, echoed, and moved like a breeze through the atmosphere past us and into the nothingness.

We all looked at her as she took slow steps toward the arriving chaos the white energy that buzzed with power still in her right hand. In her left a myriad colored flame blazed. Her palm flicked the fire thrown to the ground and she watched it burn right as the words that echoed sought our ears.

"DESCEND!"
