Divine mana and miasma.

Back when I had first found the system market after the War of Endings I made the meticulous and dire task of recording every one of my experiments. This was contained in the same book as the runes I had created to serve as symbols for each and any effects I could think of.

This brought me back to the occasion at hand. Divine mana. I had satisfied myself with the results I got with the Navedalk but now I wanted more for the angels. A look at their status was enough to see the changes in their build yet I felt they needed something more.

[False Life] - [-------]

[Lv 1] - [BASIC]

Angels from the Helios universe reanimated

[PERKS] - [Flight] - [Sol's Light] - [Combat master] - [Divine mana] - [Rogue antics] - [False Life Evolution]

[Flight]

[As winged beings they can take to the air at massive speeds. Their rate of flight is not dependent on wing number but proficiency]

[Combat master]

[A longer time in battle helps them to learn and copy their formed fighting style]

[Divine miasma]

[The basic breakdown of intent is mana. But Divine mana is a gift given by gods to their angels. This specific mana had been corrupted and found unholy]

[Life sense]

[A new addition of reanimation. As a false life in need of evolving its core the creature can sense all living beings within a 50-mile radius]

[Beastiality]

[A surprise attack mode that makes all strikes unexpected and unusual. Causes rabidness in the once glorious beings, and increases strength and jaw force. More efficiency in using consume]

[Consume]

The innate perk of the false life being. A need made by its desire to evolve as close to life as possible by consuming other beings' shards.

[False Life Evolution]

[As a creature animated by shards and empowered by its energy more shards consumed increase not only its shard energy but also increases its evolution]

"A gift given by gods to their angels" the description brought to mind the messengers. The possessed divine mana converted by faith units. That was their reality but I knew that the faith unit wasn't what made the divine mana. Connected to me they were able to draw copious amounts of mana from my body to themselves which was why they always felt weak after a fast conversion.

"But still, it wasn't good enough for what I needed these angels to have. Since there was no Divine miasma within me they couldn't draw from me. 'Or was it'.

The pages of my grimoire fluttered as they flew open, my eyes moved through the pages as I sought the information I needed. " There.." I jabbed a finger to halt the page and stop the information I found from passing. "..the black sun".

Before anything though I realized something important I needed. I wanted to remake mana but knew nothing about it. All my past attempts except that of the attempt to make Devil's Fire had been with the system's guide. Yet if I was to know how to form such a mana then I needed to know all.

To onlookers, it seemed like I stared into nothing while my pupils darted left and right, dilated and shrunk in seconds. Information flowed into my mind as I found things I wanted, all by noting the different things happening in my universe. From the fights between the slowly retreating demons of Taursa, the civil wars among the Evershu, and the conquest by the nomadic Agartans. But I was more focused on a scene depicting a mage controlling the mana around him, pushing his own to act as a compass, a direction or will for the mana around to act.

'How does this mana, exist? From where is it formed?' My thought changed the scene as I saw what looked to be silvery sprinkles falling from the heavens. These sprinkles coated the air continuously as they fell. I watched surprised and unsure until the first scene reappeared. The male burst out in a swift move that generated mana from his fist. He uttered a word that made his mana act weirdly and move. To my surprise I watched the mana grab unto the sprinkles. The mana led them in a specific direction right as it began turning red. To me, the mana moved at a normal pace but to others, it wouldn't be so.

I watched as the mana ignited in a swift flame that burned everything in his path.

'The sprinkle was ambient mana. Coming from above.'

" Above!" I paused. "Above"

A thought entered my mind, something I had seen from some science-like fact published as a meme. Something that the sun did to dangerous energy before it reached the earth. This was what I needed to learn about making divine mana.

I gave instructions to the destroyer and the yet-to-be-named angels on what they were to do right before I vanished, sputtering away in fire.

Plane Walker for me was the best transportation skill. Now I didn't have to appear in the Lunar castle and meet the other me. I could simply go wherever like I did now, being where I desired. That being on the very edge of the Bridge of Burdens looking down into the mortal plains. The bridge that judged which soul was ready for their next reincarnation. The very one from which the chaos entity fell into the plains of mortals.

This was the place I stood in looking down into the black carpet with various little lights weaved like a tapestry on the inky blackness that wed bordered by a gold river. I took a step forward and dropped over the bridge. There was no wind just me and nothing.

I felt the shift the moment my skin touched the very flat tip of the plains. The suction was not powerful enough to hold me but I let it do its job of dragging me beneath when allowed.

"Space" I muttered. Above me, I could see a ring with a gold rim and the edge of something that I was sure was the bridge from here. Attempting to go back up I noted that unlike the suction to drag higher beings down, there was a repulsion on me. It was as weak to me as the suction had been but it still cleared up some things.

First I was certain that this gateway, rift, planar gate, or portal whichever it was could not be seen by mere mortals. If in the case a more than mere mortal with the capability or sight to see came across it then the force was here to halt their attempts.

"Alright, that's good to know." I took my attention back to what made me drop into the mortal plains without thought. For miles, there was nothing but rock debris, dead or lost worlds, and just the void.

"There." I found the first Sun. I wasn't sure how far from Vaustaris I was but now I just needed to check if my assumption or if the real-world theory applied here somehow.

Divine purity activated as my energy moved, down my legs, across my torso and chest, up my head, and finally into my eyes. It filled all my cells, all my organs, and just like before I could feel the immense energy and strength within me.

I repeated the action of letting the energy in a controlled form leak out from my body. The distortion appeared once more, like the good of fire vibrating the air.

BOOM

I was gone. Leaving a trail of light that was only visible in the eternal darkness of space. I closed in on the sun letting more energy push me forward as I shot ahead. As I approached the sun I began testing out various things. From speed by pushing out much energy from my body to flight maneuvers and then trying to keep all my body filled with the energy without actively forcing it.

The training and travel barely took more than a minute or more when I arrived at the sun. I checked super fast in space out of what I could accomplish. The sun was a normal golden-red orb that boiled and sizzled even as I drew nearer. It was one thing to be next to Sol and another a sun. While I had made one this one while forged by my divinity had not received my touch. Which meant closing in on it a fresh experience of what it was like to approach the sun.

"Sometimes I love this game. Other times I just want to kill the devs". Smiling with a shake of my head I looked around the sun. Divinity flooded my eyes even more as I tried to activate a skill that I had. One I couldn't use without a certain mode.

It was hard at first as I kept pushing divinity into my eyes. If there was a way to actively interact with the system not just from gaining information but to lien arrange things it would have helped get a divinity meter. At least a usage bar. Without a way to measure I had to actively keep the number of revolutions in my body in mind. With each passage of the divinity from my body up to my head I ticked.

Finally, I felt the change. At first, I noted that the divinity was just uncontrolled, its readiness to shoot out and vaporize all in my path palpable. I registered this as the default mode.

'Now let's see'. I pushed my will into my eyes and the divinity explaining and illustrating what I wanted. The result was quite poor, to be honest. First, a sort of light golden glass, transparent and weak as noted from the shaky lens appeared over my eyeball. As I watched it flicker while I pumped in more Divinity I couldn't help but wonder how much faster it would be with a prepared rune. My mental picture of the sort of rune design to use vanished as the film stabilized and before me, I was welcome to a whole new spectrum.

It wasn't color or light. Just hidden energies that should be visible to me but weren't for some reason. Maybe the same reason that I was kept out of the mortal Plains to prevent shedding it. There was violet, turbulent and messy, white, calm and slow, gold, fast yet orderly and finally, there was something else. Hidden within the three, yet visible. Something. one could casually ignore or assume as the beauty of the energies but as one who had felt, used, and forced the power to bend to my will, it was impossible to miss. The Spark.

I was silent as I followed the sight of the surging waves, like a steam I followed the flow back to where it poured in from. From the same hole I was sucked through I saw the four energies flood in. 'Well, that explains where all the energy in the higher realms goes'.

I shot down after the waves and to the sun. This time I took careful note of the interaction on going. I watched aether, chaos, and divinity all clash with the suns. Yet divinity betrayed the rest. Rather than aiding in whatever the others were doing it instead seeped into the sun. This gave the sun cosmic rays to burn the primordial chaos. The leftover poured back behind it and down into its solar system. It wasn't all though. The energy created a raw one I wasn't sure of combined with aether and used it as a pathway to descend into the world.

Since there was no created world here I couldn't see anything useful. What I did see from the reaction of the lost world to the energy was enough to explain why most worlds were dying or dead.

The energy oozing into the plains was like poison gas to the worlds. Unable to process or use the energy they succumbed to it.

" But how is Vaustaris surviving.".

A flash of fire later I floated light years from the only living planet in my mortal realm. The other wasn't to be mentioned yet due to reasons. I calmly watched, at least tried to be calm as I noted what was ongoing. The energies trying to enter Vaustaris were met with a turnaround. Vaustaris was being aided by aether to tackle the energies clamoring over it. The Aether was what, instead of breaking down the energy trying to amass into the planet followed the intent of the creator by converting the energy that poured into the world into mana. I watched as both mana and other energies entered Vaustaris. Some energies bounced off the planet and floated off.

', Energies Vaustaris is not allowed to have'. With this realization, I looked at my palms. "So I need to use Aether to reform Divinity into mana. But how do I get Divine Mana? Or in the case of those angels, divine miasma. I exhaled and scratched my head.

" Well, you decided to create false life," I grumbled. I knew though I wasn't going to give up. I had seen the processes automatically controlled by the system. All I had to do was follow up. I knew though that Aether could make the conversion. The question was. What was Divine Mana converted from? And then how could it be made to Divine miasma.?.

At least this trip exposed some loose ends and enlightened me in other things.
