Chapter 183

Even though Nathan hasn't changed much physically, Travis realized a few things were different.

The most obvious one was his eyes, which shone with dim blue light, but there were other details.

It isn't rare for high-stage cultivators to have an energy aura around them while fighting, created by excess energy on their bodies and working as their first line of defense.

Even out of combat, there would still be a more discreet aura that people with high cultivation can detect when near.

But Nathan didn't have any of that.

While looking at him, Travis felt like he was looking at a regular human instead of a cultivator.

"I can't feel you. I thought your aura would become so powerful that we must kneel before you to withstand it." Travis said to his companion.

"This breakthrough wasn't about getting more. It was about getting better." Nathan replied with a smile.

"What's that even supposed to mean?" Travis asked, confused.

"It means that my reserves of energy are the same as before. In fact, in pretty low on energy right now." Nathan replied.

"Welcome to the club. Everyone is low on energy after fighting for so long. And if we don't deal with the tree soon, they will run out of it completely." Travis said.

"Don't you worry. I can take care of everything after I understand my new powers." Nathan replied.

Nathan looked above him only to see the remaining dark clouds dissipating into the atmosphere before looking at the enemies.

In particular, he looked for the giant he made stronger when trying to find a way to weaken the tree. It didn't take a lot to see it as it stood above everything else, and soon after, he pointed at it with his finger.

He released a tiny amount of energy from his dantian and sent it to his finger before he shot it as a laser ray at the giant. The attack reached the giant's head without any problem, flying through it as if it were butter before that part of its body turned into dust.

Even after that, the giant's body began to regenerate soon after, but before letting it recover completely, Nathan shot realized another two attacks like the last.

The two projectiles impacted the high torso and hip of the giant, turning those areas into dust, leaving behind the limbs which couldn't regenerate into the giant again just by themselves.

"Wow," Travis said, shocked after seeing how Nathan killed the giant.

"And that's not all I'm capable of." He said before energy began to concentrate on his right hand.

With a swing of his arm, he shot a wave of energy bullets toward the vegetation. When the shots touched the projectiles, they exploded into blue light, consuming everything they found in their path.

With two movements, Nathan managed to release the army's defenses from a lot of pressure, who, until that point, weren't doing pretty well.

"Hey, man. I know your new powers are incredible, but be careful not to run out of fuel. We still need to destroy the tree and the stone; if you don't do it, I doubt anyone would be able." Jason said after seeing how Nathan destroyed the vegetation.

"Don't you worry. I still have energy for a few more attacks like those." Nathan replied.

He continued testing the new energy his dantian was producing. Ultimately, its characteristics are the same as regular non-elemental energy. Still, the power inside a speck of that energy isn't comparable to that of the regular one.

If an amount of regular energy were capable of turning on a light bulb, the same amount of Nathan's power would be enough to sustain a whole house.

With a few more waves of his arm, he destroyed a significant part of the remaining vegetation, to which the tree reacted by releasing a few more waves of leaves.

Seeing that, Nathan turned toward the tree and began gathering energy on the surroundings with his dantians. When the energy entered it, the "flame" of energy inside it began to burn the impurities, compressing and eliminating any fuel characteristics.

When it reached an acceptable level of power, Nathan gathered all his remaining energy in his hands. Putting them together, he created an energy ball the size of a watermelon.

With a quick move, Nathan threw the projectile toward the tree. It hit it on the lower part of the trunk, breaking it in half and burning some of the roots.

Here is today's chapter.

I hope you like it and that you have a nice day.

I'll see you around for more.
