127 A good boy

"I'll go and check on her," Chen Yuxi informed and dashed out of the room. 

Mei Lin sighed slowly. She walked over to her husband and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Dear.... are you okay?"

Chen Yuzhou shook his head slightly. His shoulders fell as deep sorrow came over him. He looked at his hand which he raised at his daughter and distress filled his heart. His anger was long gone and all that remained in him was his guilt and worry. "I am sorry, Mei Lin... I-I... I... I....." 

"It's okay, dear," Mei Lin comforted. She took his hand and led him towards the bed. "You sit here and calm down. I'll get you a glass of water."

"I don't need water," Chen Yuzhou denied. He grabbed her hand and pulled her to sit on the bed, right next to him.

Mei Lin saw the devastating look on his face and sighed again. "Are you sure?"

"I-I-I..... I shouldn't have slapped her..." he began.

Mei Lin nodded. "Yeah, you shouldn't have..."
