297 Not fine

Back in Beijing. 

Maxim drove for over 2 hours before they finally reached a hotel. 

The journey was drowned in silence with both the people being occupied in their own thoughts. 

There were a few times when Diana wanted to say something but looking at Maxim's icy face, she held herself back in the hopes of being able to articulate her words in such a manner that would help her in the current situation. 

Maxim handed the car keys to the valet while they made their way inside the place. 

Diana followed Maxim, walking faster to catch up with him.

As the distance between them increased, Maxim paused for a moment before he slowed his footsteps down, letting her catch up to him. 

This time, he took smaller steps till they reached the elevator. 

Diana noticed it and her lips inadvertently curved up but when his nonchalant gaze flitted towards her face, she stopped smiling.
