Alex speechlessly looked at Maxim. Couldn't he be gentler? What if they beat him to vent their frustration?

"Cough..'' Clearing his throat, he spoke up in a stern yet coaxing voice, ''Let's talk after the patient regains consciousness.'' 

When their gazes shot towards him, Alex grabbed Maxim's elbow immediately. 

Maxim paused and frowned a bit before he walked away with Alex being dragged by him. 

From a distance, the view looked like a koala desperately clinging to a human and the human unwillingly tolerating him. 

Maxim stopped in front of Logan. 

Alex immediately detached himself from Maxim to get rid of his embarrassment. 

Logan looked at him, ''How much?" 

Alex raised an eyebrow. He had seen this man a few times around Maxim in the hospital. He had a vague idea that he was probably Maxim's friend and subordinate like Ryle Harper, from what he gathered from an investigation that he conducted on Maxim years ago.
